From the blurb, the fl seems to be persistent in her pursuit. But I really dislike when characters that can’t take no for an answer and become stalkerish. Does she ever overly cross ml’s boundaries, where if the genders were reversed she would be a pervert?
i dont think it is very similar to lltg. wrtw has palace politics as usual, but i feel like it is more dynamic…
well, I did ended up starting it. I’m on ep 14 and for now, other than production value, it is way better than LLTG. Pacing is better, chemistry btw the leads is better and they are more mature and act with foresight.
she had to stay behind. I remember they said that his mother used to go with his father when he was away fighting. With Xue Li’s bravery, I can’t imagine her being to afraid to go
That part was a bit upsetting. I also got second hand embarrassment watching him with her mother in the restaurant.…
Yes! That part with the mom was so cringey, I did not like that. It was also a stupid misunderstanding to have btw the MLs. Their communication skills were really bad..
I heard that Zhang Linghe is dubbed by a voice actor in this drama. I was so disappointed because l like his voice. Is it very bad or somewhat tolerable?
now at ep 8 very repetitive, I feel like I’ve watched the same scene over and over again. Almost every episode, it feels like someone throws royal temper tantrum about the main leads getting married. I got it, nobody wants them together. How often does the Emperor have to OPENLY show his support for people to shut up about it.
I’m on episode 2 of s2. I find it very unrealistic for someone to yell, insult, and even try to get physical with the Empress, and not get punished. No matter who they are, an insult to the Empress would have been an insult to the Emperor. Seeing as a few days before, he “punished “ a girl for insulting the female lead, it is very strange that an insult to the empress has been ignored.
I’m on Episode 7 and I am getting a little bored. Those it pick up? And also, she has kind of rejected him several times already and he keeps showing up, its getting kind of creepy. does this change anytime soon?
I so agree with you! It was too long without a real plot. Their love was unconvincing to me. What exactly made them fall for each other. Contrary to others opinions, I found their chemistry rather lacking. They were too stiff and awkward. And I totally agree about the “being poor” thing but owning a business, smh
Soo.. I’m on episode 25 and am kind of disappointed. It started slow but promising. I liked the story but it takes way too long. I don’t think their chemistry is as great as everyone says it is. I found them rather awkward and stiff together, even after over a year of dating. What really pissed me of about episode 25 is how fl treated ml after something sad happend. If you really love someone and they are heartbroken, who cares what others think, GO AND GIVE HIM A HUG! If this is the person you have chosen to spend your life with, put them first when they are in pain.
