Doesn’t work like that though if you never grew up with the family and don’t have blood ties. Had she actually married the brother she grew up with, that would have been weird but the ML and she have literally no ties as he is not even legally considered to be part of the family.

In all due respect, this is a you problem. why would korean dramas cater to your family’s need?? There is a trigger warning so as an adult you shouldn’t let your kids watch it. And if you are conservative Korean dramas aren’t for you and your family either. I don’t understand this type of entitlement. Just watch dramas on your own and get your kids to watch cartoons. End of story. Us grown adults can watch grown content.

I don’t like the actor who plays the ML but he is only 39 so I don’t think it’s related to age. It’s more a miscast and probably a lack of experience with these types of dramas. I believe he’s only done modern?

I found her ok in a historical drama and if she plays the young/dumb FL I can stomach it. But I’ve noticed that most directors like to infantilise women even in a modern workplace environment. Like some sort of fetish. Even in serious professions they act like a teenager would do. That doesn’t happen in Korean dramas so there must be something going on

Why is the acting so cringe in modern C dramas? And the FL making childish pouting expressions. I can't even finish the first episode :(
