I feel that if the FL suddenly became overly emotional in front of people it wouldn’t fit her persona (she used to be a fighter, part of an underground gang). She somehow reminds me of the Fl in Princess Agents. We saw her being physically sick when she recovered her memory and she cried a lot during the cave scene. She didn’t show any emotion during her reunion with 2ML though because she doesn’t love him.

Women are after him because he is young, handsome and powerful. I don't see him as charming with anyone expect the FL.

The angst is not dragged out because the FL is not naive and is intelligent and independant. She is able to see the big picture and be objective. She explained why she is not going totally bonkers towards the ML - he saved her and she realised that he didn't lie or was behind the death of her gang. The "stab" at the cave was her final "revenge". Not sure what type of angst you are expecting/ Most people moan when the FL is stupid or acting erractic in dramas.

Basically, ML hates everyone and everything except mother, sister, FL, his doctor friend and soldiers. He is sooo anti social with his constant RBF. LOL

And we also know that he has god tier self control. Controlled himself while sharing the same bed with the woman he loves and even through the influence of a potent afrodisiac.

One thing I don’t understand: why is FL allowing her grandfather to marry her off like an object without her consent. They are noble family and she is strong so I find it surprising that she doesn’t stand her ground more

Yeah but who needs the hassle when you can get a handsome and rich Prince who can give you wealth, protection and love

He is the textbook version of a high IQ geek with low EQ and no bravery. That’s why he is not suitable for FL. The ML is book smart but also street smart and fearless. He doesn’t care about reputation

Dang ML is utterly WHIPPED. He has gone crazy in love, even acting like a coy virgin at the sight of any woman. This is sooooo good

But he would never be able to make her an empress. She is not even fit to be his concubine. All she could be is his maid. The ML is not even a royal but even in his case they said she wouldn’t in theory be good enough to be his concubine. He just wants to shamelessly have an affair with her (he doesn’t care about her reputation). He can’t even protect her as he depends on the Lords’ loyalty (including the ML that’s why he is trying to make peace with him) and his wives’ family to protect his legitimacy . As the ML’s wife she would be far more respected and safe as he is not eyeing the throne or involved in a harem. And he has an actual army so no one would dare attack her in his fief.

What I find interesting is that the FL is loyal to the 2ML despite him never prioritising her and choosing power (and marrying another woman) over her. She clearly wouldn’t settle for a concubine title so not sure how he would even think of romancing her. The ML may have initially lied but he always prioritised her needs and desires.

Lol yes but I wonder if that’s because they didn’t want to show a kid being killed. I don’t understand why they had to make him a child.

Exactly. He is not that stupid. He just doesn’t want to lose her so he is in denial and is waiting for her to leave him
