I’ve been so bored with Korean dramas for the past year that I just revisited the old ones, however I really…
Need to come visit the Chinese ones. Couple of good ones. Art and design has catch up, scenario and dialogue not there yet, passing is way slower. But mostly start with 2022 onward before that the quality gap with Kdrama was quite high outside of a few execptions.
Outside of a few tragedies when you watch a xianxa Cdrama you know you will get: misunderstanding, sacrifice, good become bad and bad become good, love win after much hardship. The question is the path the get there :-)
Situ Ling complaining to Fu Yue about trying to give his all for Ming Yi and getting nothing in return ... Must be so painful to hear, this guy has no shame.
My personal note was: "interesting story, overly exaggerated acting, infuriating characters". It really fit the 2020 xianxia quality for CGI and theatrical acting. I do have a lot of time on my hand and wanted to see how they would develop the plot but I had to force myself a few time to continue to see the whole story. Also wanted to see why the rating was so high 8.7 on MDL is quite decent.
I checked your profile and think you should be fine. You clearly don't mind the overly exaggerated acting seeing the rating you put on some of them. Just prepare yourself, you might want to stone some people ^^
Probably the most infuriating show I have ever watched. Wanted to beat Bailing to death from the start till the end. I wanted to see what the scenario would be so finished it.
Guys, does the show has 22 or 36 episodes ? Netflix reports 22 , MDL reports 36 Netflix and Youku have the same episode durations so far, shouldnt be a 2 versions release, so i'am a bit confused
I am halfway through the drama (trying to complete it for the third time) and all I can say is that I have a love-hate…
I totally agree but sadly this is often how K drama depict like -> love and hug->kiss-> sex progression. They often say like or love with very little interaction. Or can spend many episode saying they love each other without a kiss or any sex and swearing eternal love. To be fair you can really quickly live someone without being to really point a finger on it maybe a beginning of love but true love naah you need to know the person WAY more.
Solid acting from the 2 leads, Han Ji Min is really well played.
Concerning the cheating debate, there is no actual physical cheating, but there are in each other thoughts before she truly break up with her BF. The relationship was already dead though and in these cases cheating is just the day you decide to press the "I QUIT" button more then anything else, the decision is already made you just don't know how to break it to the other.
I thing I have rarely seen a scenario with such despicable group of male support in a romance, I have trouble ranking the disgust they made me fell: - her father is probably the trashiest of them all, basically sell his daughter for a job and don't care his other was beaten and assaulted as long as he want to continue and has a nice job, truly amazing - sister husband, beat and raped his wife, scamiest mf of the serie - ex BF, 1000 shade of despicable in on character
Probably can shorten the plot by 70% if people just learned to block number and ignore shameless ex after a first good face to face talk.
I dont think she is a well written character, the screenwriter did her character do dirty and villanized her,…
Only the part where she stole the screenplay is really dirty. Otherwise I found her quite subdue in her love for Kim Sang Hak during university. Also Ryu Eun Jung reaction to the whole situation in university is quite subdue, even if actually nothing happened wanting to hurt Sang Yeon would have been expected instead she act super mature which is unexpected for a first love and the sensation of being betrayed by both BF and BFF.
Such nice depiction of love, hate, jealousy, insecurities, dependencies, college love. Park Ji Hyun really does an amazing job for her deeply trouble character but the plot would have been better if she was less vilified The last 2 episodes were really hard to watch.

Decent watch until ep 10 or so
