I'm so fed upwith how the Tofu guy handled the whole situation with the woman he was coupled with. I applaud her for actually speaking up and asking to go back to the single zone, ugh.

My final judgement, that nobody asked for: I've seen worse.
That's it lol. Once you've watched some of the worst dating shows, this season doesn't seem so bad. And that's... good? I guess.
I think I'll watch the next season as well, but I'm hoping for a better casting.

(By the way, I'm appalled that people aren't more mad about Hanbin's role in this show. He's basically a filler dude, I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that he knew someone and was casted to have some screentime and promote his acting career. I was laughing when he was interviewed during the last episode. "I should've been more of a man"
YOU DON'T SAY, DUDE. LMAO.)

Haven't watched season 1, is season 1 better than season 3? should I give it a try?
IMHO: all seasons are enjoyable, if I were you I'd start from the first one! :)
There's no need to jump from the start to season 3, which is still on going.
On Single’s Inferno Season 3 Jan 4, 2024
Finally, I've watched the last episodes.

I'M SO BAFFLED that Gwan-hee still has multiple girls pining for him. I understand that they've been shooting for just a week, but his attitude is so bad and red-flaggy and goes way beyond being indecisive.
From now on, whenever I feel bad about myself I'll think that at least I'm not a 36yrs old man with issues, that needs to be petty and resort to nagging/lies/stringing people along to get a partner. My God.

Also, I might be completely off, but in the next preview it seems like Minwoo will behave like a f**k boy as well, so I'm ready to be disappointed. Even Jinseok wasn't great in the last episodes... maybe his screentime was cut to let us see Gwan-hee's trainwreck, however I was expecting him to be more proactive and less soft/passive. I don't think he tried his best to get to know Minji and his role in the whole show had potential but ended up underwhelming.

Min-kyu won some points bc offering his shirt to a crying girl is cute. I'm a sucker for proper manners and kindness, even when the receiver (Minji) doesn't deserve it at all. What a classy move.

Nothing can also convince me otherwise: Hanbin going to paradise was scripted, because he needed his promo time lol. Maybe it was even in the contract, when he signed as participant.

Won-Ik gave me the "ick". I get that he's focused on a girl, but there's no way he doesn't know that she fancies another guy. The solution is just try your best and maybe (just MAYBE) give a chance to someone else. Apparently, off-screen it seems like he cornered Sieun every chance he got, to talk and hog her time. Sieun needed to grow a pair and tell him no, or give off way more bitchy signals, but c'mon man. Take a hint. The whole "lol, I hope you and Minwoo keep having bad luck" is just ewww. So what? They don't get a single date so she chooses you because you're the only option available? That's... sad.

Ugh. I could rant for hours.

I agree with you on Yun Ha Bin! For me, he is the most good looking among all the guys! And he’s absolutely…
I think we should take into consideration that beauty standards differ a lot from country to country and then there's to add personal preference 😭

But to me he definitely deserves a chance. I wonder why the editors only showed Won-ik being a bit proactive... If Hanbin is truly only interested in Ha-Jeong, good luck to him 😭
At this point it's best to hope that the new contestant announced in the ep4 trailer will shake things up for the people that didn't do much so far!
On Single’s Inferno Season 3 Dec 16, 2023
My useless 0,2 cents on the contestants so far:

Kim Gyu-ri: the Wallmart Song Jia. She's very pretty and I loved her dress in Ep.1, but being pretty and having the personality of a chair gets old quick. I'm glad she was humbled from the start, but I don't like her. She changed a bit after the wasn't chosen by anyone, but idk. I feel like she's all about getting a boy and then get popular to land contracts after the show ends.
She's not looking for romance, she's out for business. And that's fine, that's basically the average reality show contestant, but at least sell me a lie lol.

Choi Hye-seon: my favorite so far. She seems nice, has a brain and her tendency to comment enthusiastically about... well, anything, isn't that annoying. I'm glad she seems open to get to know different people and her sunny personality might be refreshing compared to almost all the other female contestants. I have also the feeling that guys won't treat her right and appreciate her like she deserves :')

An Min-young: she has potential. I mean, I like how spontaneous she seems to be. However, I'm not sure if she fits the korean beauty standard more than the other girls on the island. I find her gorgeous, but it's pretty telling that the boys kinda chose her because of her personality. In the interviews, I don't think any of them commented on her looks much. Which is telling, since Single's Inferno isn't much subtle when it comes to being shallow. I liked her with Jin-seok, but after Ep. 3 I'm worried that both of them will choose each other just because they're not attracted to other people and "you'll do for now". I sincerely hope they'll click in the upcoming episodes!

Yun Ha-jeong: foxy. In real life, I'd probably run away from her and avoid hanging out, because she gives off mean girl's vibes. The editing of the stuff she says in the interviews paint a bad image of her, hopefully it's not the truth. I think she'll be one of the most entertaining contestants in the show and I'm craving all the drama. I'm glad she decided to participate lol.

Yu Si-eun: one of the prettiest. Unfortunately, idk if it's because of editing, but among the girls I found her the most boring. After episode 3, I still don't know anything about her personality. I'm 100% sure that she chose the dude because she was sure she could go to paradise and didn't want to keep eating rice and spam and being a "loser". I see zero chemistry between her and... well, anyone who chatted with her so far.

Choi Min-woo: baby boy. I'm sure he'll be suffering this season :'D I don't see him as a player and as an introvert I can relate with him struggling a bit. I hope he won't chase Gyu-ri until the end; he has potential and could click with many contestants. It's a pity that he doesn't seem attracted at all to Hye-Seon :(

Lee Jin-seok: it's telling that he admitted that he's doesn't find anyone on the island attractive and compatible with him. Min-Young seems to be his second/safe choice, which isn't great. Potentially, he's the one that I think might end up participating in the whole season and use this opportunity as a free vacation with no intention to pair with anybody :'D

Lee Gwan-hee: barf. I didn't like him when he was cocky in the first interview, I didn't like him when he was on screen, I hated him when he told Hye-Seon that "she was the one for him", unprompted (WHY DUDE) and then telling the opposite after meeting another girl. He's a walking red flag and I'm baffled people ship him with many contestants (at least on social media, not much here on MDL). From negging, to empty promises, to switching between being very vocal about being the coolest dude and then behave like a child, I am sure he'll cause heartbreak and ugh. ugh. UGH. (Also, his haircut. HIS HAIRCUT). I see a lot of projecting and insecurity within him.

Son Won-ik: Looks? Handsome. Personality? Error 404 not found. I am waiting to see more of him. He should - at least - go out with few people and not obsess after one contestant in particular...

Yun Ha-bin: I am puzzled. Confused. ASTONISHED that nobody chose him so far. To me, he's one of the best looking guys casted. He seems nice and police. Yellow flag for his reaction when he wasn't chosen, because he seemed a bit jealous/upset when they only knew each other for very little time. Hopefully, I interpreted his behavior/expression wrong.

Park Min-kyu: lovely. Potential F boy. I need to see more to have an opinion on him, but logically speaking, because of his job and appearance, I don't think he struggles much in getting girls. So I'm not buying the whole "I'm a shy boy" image. I don't see any chemistry with Gyu-ri and so far I'm not convinced about the Min-Kyu/Ha-Jeong couple. I am waiting for him to talk and hang out with more people...

As someone who had a good time with Cutie Pie but did not like Cutie Pie 2 You, will I enjoy this?
This was me: I loved Cutie Pie, Cutie Pie 2 You was a let down for me.
And Naughty Babe... to me, it's a five out of ten. Barely.
Be prepared to an even weaker plot (most people don't actually know wtf is going on), many flat/overused jokes, dumb antagonists and not much fanservice.
Pro if you want to see this series: Max is eye candy, the dog is adorable and has many scenes. Sometimes rare dialogues are funny.
That's it.

Nong confirmed as the best character.
10/10 would love to see her casted again.

I wasn't expecting the plot to make sense even at the end, and of course I wasn't disappointed: a bloody mess. That's what it is.
Don't let me start with the whole thing between Diao's dad and Diao himself, solved after 2 convos. Tem and the uncle dealt off-screen. At least I was expecting Tem to be kinda in love with Yi, or something juicier than "uncle told me to do stuff and I did it so bad now I'm getting arrested".
At least the last love scene is decent, I guess.

I am done with this and I'll forever remember CutiePie as my guilty pleasure and Naughty Babe as karma getting back at me for whatever bad energy I accumulated through my lifetime.

Not sure why this is getting dumber and more convoluted every week, but I miss when it was laugh out loud ridiculous.…
Nong is a blessing. I'd love a special episode with her as main protagonist :')

THE LACK OF NONG IN THIS EPISODE
In all seriousness though, I don't like how they're resolving the whole trauma (ptsd?) issue with the tiger attack. People need therapy for this kind of stuff :/ and while Yi is incredibly sweet, I think a normal person will still doubt if he's in that relationship because of a sense of obligation/protectiveness. Idk if there's a medical term for it, but a "I must protect this person at all costs, it's my responsibility now" it's definitely an existing complex lol. If I were Diao, I'd bail.
I know the series is short, but I doubt even the rest of the drama will be solved well. At least with Cutie Pie, I found the plot a bit more logical and believable (but let me be clear, I am not delusional enough to think it was perfect and void of plot holes) and Kuea got to do what he wanted. I get the sense (especially here in the few scenes that they're showing us) that he got the career, popularity and money that he desired. So he choose career over a man, and that's awesome!
Diao instead still seems lost, I don't know if I believe obtaining his 5th dan is the only thing he aspires in life. I mean, maybe I remember wrong, but he said to Kuea that he didn't know what he wanted in previous episodes. I see no character arc, no development :(
Will he go back doing what he was doing in S1? There's nothing wrong in being a teacher, I actually think it's an awesome job. But then, if we have to compare what's different about him between S1 and S2, it will be "well, I had a convo with my partner, he told me about a memory I lost and now we're making out".
Maybe I'm just asking for too much :/
I have to admit though that the whole "my dad doesn't love me" topic it's well done. I like it. I'm still disappointed there aren't many episodes to wrap it up properly, but I'm glad they put it in the script and I even think that Nat's scenes about this are actually decent.

...I'll stop rambling, I'm so gutted that I can't be as enthusiastic as I was for S1 T_T

Pls apply as a screenwriter for Thai shows and save us <3

I won't lie, for a second I thought that Yi was sweet, but then I facepalmed because Diao was thrown around like a potato sack :')
Couldn't he just pick him up and carry Diao bridal style? I swear this season is testing me :')

Yes! Manifesting Diao kicking asses right and left as soon as possible please T_T
Also, I wish he'll end up ditching Yi and going to Switzerland like he wanted, maybe finding himself in the process. I think the screenwriters can save this, if there is a good "redemption" arc for him being an absolute baby.

The script makes it a bit worse, you're right! But I really enjoy Kuea and he's quite childish as well... So I don't think that's the issue for me.
It's a pity because this had so much potential! And I love Max :( I appreciated a lot the scene about Yi's panic attack, but again it was a bit ruined when Diao arrived...
I'm hoping that at least it will be Diao to save the day, since they show that he's so good at martial arts. That would be super cool and also show the character in a different light, not the usual damsel in distress we're used to :)

I *really* want to like this, but I can't with Nat's acting.
I am not picky usually, and it pains me to criticize actors, but... the more I see scenes that are supposed to be dramatic, the more he looks just constipated to me. It's hard to immerse myself in those scenes and feel stuff when all I can think about is "...what's wrong with his face? Is he okay?"

There are no love scenes to make up for it, the plot at least is a bit intriguing, but I'm not sure if I'd give this season a pass so far. Ugh :( I'm sad.

I know that this is a romance comedy but...
seriously? Farts sounds as comic relief? T_T my god, the bar is low. Nong saved the episode with his cuteness and I hope for less childish humor tbh.
I really enjoyed CutiePie and forgave the weak plot because the chemistry between the main CP was A+ and the acting was good enough, but I have to admit that with Naughty Babe I'm struggling. There are scenes where it's fine and others where... nope, it's all too fake and unrealistic and facial expressions are so off T_T
Nevertheless, I like the mystery behind the car accident and the fact that Yi is choosing to fake his amnesia, so I'm hopeful.

(Btw, the most unrealistic thing plot wise is that Diao rejected Yi for TWO years bc... he's shy? LMAO the screenwriters could just say that he suspected infidelity from the start instead, or something. Missing that fine piece of ass because he felt like embarrassed is the most pure bulls*it I've ever heard in a drama. Top 5 for sure)

I'm glad you experienced camps in such a positive way, but perhaps you haven't read my post lol.
I stated that I'm NOT looking for "amped up cattiness", but I am puzzled and a bit shocked about what I perceived as forced positivity. I also disagree that being in a safe environment means that people cannot tell you when you fuck up. I actually found Stanley's reaction to Justin one of the most genuine ones and I'm glad he spoke up against something that triggered him, that can be healing too!

Anyway, to each their own :)
