KP fans who read the novel, I need your help!
While I'm still trying to wait to watch episodes until few more are out, I'd like to read the novel. BUT I'm only interested in the Vegas x Pete parts. (I've heard bad things about Kinn and Porsche and I think I'd greatly prefer how they are described in the series... but I love dark stuff, so Vegas and Pete seem a safe bet!)
Sooooo... is V&P story available in the first book? And which chapters are about them?

That's honestly all I'm hoping for Kinnporsche. Fluff and comedy I can get anywhere, but a good mafia BL with messed up stuff + good smut?

I have just finished this drama and I NEED someone to write me a wall of text or something detailed to explain wtf is up with Aey.
Seriously, he's supposed to be the villain of the story but I don't get why he does...well, everything he does in the series.
First, he tries to hang out with Nubsib. Instead of Gene, that is the dude he actually likes.
WHY. I mean, ok, if he hangs out with Nubsib, Nubsib can't really spend time alone with Gene. But neither can he himself. And what about the birthday dinner? Why invite only Sib? It was the perfect opportunity to try to have a date with Gene, which is a pushover.
"Hey, Mr. Gene, my birthday is coming soon. Do you want to celebrate with me in advance? My treat" but no. It seems like the screenwriters wrote whatever to create the plot twist that *gasp*, Aey liked Gene.
Then...
Why tell Gene that he likes Sib??? To scare him and get them apart? But then... he's painting himself unavailable for Gene.
Why telling him he put drugs in the drink that Sib took? What's the point?? "I was joking" doesn't make any sense.

AND last. The live streaming. WHYYYYYYYY. I mean, the #SibGene hashtag was trending a lot of times even before the last eps. Two dudes hanging out at the beach, not kissing but just playing, wasn't anything new. Yet he went live to be a dramatic bitch and then... surprised pikachu face that it wasn't a good idea for the whole show and the cast. (?)
He seemed surprised/cried buckets when Sib and Gene were asked to break up. But even then, Gene would've never go with him, so all he did was put their job at risk.
What's up with trying to talk to Sib AFTER he and Gene broke up??? Offering "to help him out"?
Why was he disappointed and cried (again. I'm so sick of him crying) when Sib told him he was capable of acting and do fanservice?

I am baffled. And I'm suspecting I am dense as hell because people seem to love Aey. Pls explain this stuff to me like I'm 5.

Honestly we have very good reasons and there's nothing to regret <3

So I am here again.
Did I get what I wanted from the last ep? Nope. Not entirely.
Did I learn an important lesson tho? Yes.

The thing is, now I can say it for sure: I learned that I am a shallow bitch.
Here, I said it. Zee and New have such a good chemistry/love scenes that I cannot stay mad. They are so damn cute together that I can't help but love them. It this was a book, or a comic, I am sure I would've rated this differently.
I am also a sucker for fluffy series (not cheesy, mind you).
So yeah, the ending wasn't perfect and the drama got solved in like five minutes after an epic run under the rain (and btw, I am still salty that Zee wasn't soaking wet) but that's fine with me.
At least some of the issues that I had with the plot and how the characters behaved were properly discussed. I like some quotes about marriage equality and rights (BUT --- sometimes the topic seemed forced and random), I like how the love between Lian and Kuea was defined and described.

I still think that they should have spent some time apart (1-2 years at least), and the screenwriters didn't do a great job with Yi and Diao (was expecting this though, I mean... that's what happens through the WHOLE series)

I enjoyed the series as a whole. The ending made me smile because of some scenes, giggle because of others. Roll my eyes because of not so good stuff. And overall... this series was an experience. A nice one. It will stay in my little, shriveled heart for a long time and I know I will rewatch. I don't care about its flaws (believe me, I agree with so many comments here! I could make a list as well!).

Cutie Pie made me happy. Still makes me happy when I think about it. I have wonderful memories watching it and I am a bit sad that there's no more next week. I encourage anyone to give it a chance instead of skipping and form their own opinion.

I finally watched the first episode purely out of spite, because people criticizing a show about MAFIA for being dark themed is hilarious. And I'm a petty b****.

...and now I'm writing Kinn x Porsche fanfic, trying not to binge watch the rest because I just know this might become a new obsession. sgdhgskg. What is my life

I still hope we'll be able to see at least a bit of what I mentioned and therapy for everyone is an excellent idea. At this point the only well adjusted character is Foei. I'd give therapy coupons to Yi and Diao too.

I get why he might come off as annoying, but it's not like he's choosing to be childish.
At the end of the day, he tells lies about his uni major and... that he likes to sing in a club. It's... almost nothing. While the people he cares about don't tell him anything about serious matters. There's no comparison between the two.
If I were him, I'd be crying too. :/
They don't respect him. They don't need him to prove himself.
And as his mother repeated (I believe) at least 2-3 times... all he has to do is "be well behaved with Lian". Poor thing :(
He was always asked to be a pretty doll and just follow orders.

I feel like a clown because just few days ago I wrote a comment praising Cutie Pie and... don't get me wrong, I still like the series as a whole, but I must admit that ep 11 disappointed me a lot.
I was still hoping that the drama between Lian and Kuea would be handled at least in a decent way, but what I got was... chaos. Confusion. Me wondering if I was having a stroke because nothing made much sense. And now I am on MDL ranting when I don't EVER leave comments. This is what Cutie Pie made me do.

I'm still staring into the void lol. What was that. I mean. WHY. WHYYYYY. Idk if it's because I didn't have many fluffly or love scenes to keep me distracted, but even I can't excuse this whole mess. And since I am one of the few humans left on planet earth that feels indifferent towards Syn/Nuer, I guess I should just grab a bottle of wine and furiously write fanfiction or something.
First of all, I feel for Lian. BUT public proposals suck. And you don't do them when your partner is visibly upset and depressed and you fought few days before. Was it sweet? Yes. Was it self-centered and I dare say narcissistic? Yup. "Screw my partner's feelings, I'm gonna ask them to marry me in front of a bunch of strangers because I feel like it". Disgraceful.
Maybe it's also cultural, but I also don't like that he proposed during his father's birthday party. Let the man celebrate his 60! The focus should be on him, not on you and your fiancée. WTH. Proposing to your partner is not a birthday present WTF. If one of my future sons or daughters will ever propose during one of my milestones birthday, I swear I will whip their asses as soon as they take out rings.

I know that it might be controversial, but this time I am team Kuea. Yes, he's whiny and cries a lot, but in my opinion he is a victim. He's been criticized by Lian MULTIPLE times because he is spoiled (Example: "Oh, so you don't know how to cook because you always had people to do it for you, huh?") and naughty, but his family and Lian himself shield him and infantilize him at every opportunity.
So Kuea should be protected at all costs and must NOT know or deal about bad stuff and financial issues, but he's also too immature and just a kid. He should tell the truth, but also meet expectations because he's a Keerati after all. He can't win ffs.
At this point my hopes for ep 12 are:
- Kuea revealing all his secrets to Lian. Bonus if he calls his mum too.
- Kuea and Lian deciding to pause their relationship or keep being engaged but starting from zero
- Maybe these two getting separated (Kuea can go back to the UK, maybe?) and then meet again after few years and GROWTH.
If this happens, then I might excuse a lot of the stuff that happened before. If this doesn't happen, I will drink my sorrows away.

Yi and Diao are... sweet. Yi's jealousy of Nong was cute. That's... all. I was expecting something more from them. I guess (and hope) we'll know something more about the drama with Diao's dad in the next episode? Pretty pls?

I was dreading the whole "let's introduce a woman, she must be insufferable and cause problems" and I was so happy that it didn't happen at all T_T
I also noticed that while Kuea needs to grow up and starts to do so (veeery slowly, I admit, and I firmly believe that it's not 100% his fault), Lian has stuff to learn too. They both don't have much self-confidence and I can't wait for them to rely on each other!

I didn't think about the contrast with Syn and Nuea, but now that you mentioned it... !!!!

The chemistry between Lian and Kuea is amazing, I adore them together and I personally disagree with all the people that think that "there's too much fanservice". Tbh, there's nothing wrong with showing two guys in love that can't really keep their hands off each other. There's plenty of shows with the worst kisses ever and, goddamn, I'm going to enjoy a show where the actors seem to fully commit and don't act like their paycheck is the only reason why they are lightly touching lips lol.
Diao and Yi are cute together as well, I hope there will be a S2 with more of them.

The plot ALL revolves around miscommunications and secrets, the whole point of the series is showing the audience that communication is key and that it takes guts to be yourself. And to show that, the characters are going to misunderstand each other quite often and make mistakes. Sometimes the plot is weak and there is stuff that doesn't make perfect sense, that's true, but overall the show is fluffy and wholesome and a guaranteed happy ending.

I just know I'll rewatch this from time to time and I am glad I decided to give it a chance :)

Oh, I see. But still, even if he's forced to be there, rebelling seems kinda the worst thing you can do.
...I think I have to accept that I won't be Porsche nr.1 fan, but so far I think I'll end up watching at least the first 4 episodes and decide.

Sunshine and grumpy characters together are my favorites ;_; I'm so happy you mentioned that. Maybe that's the reason why Kinn can't really be understood from few clips and I have so many doubts (?) If Porsche is in fact childish tho... I might end up hating/loving him at the same time.
I don't mind darker themes and trigger warnings aren't needed for me lol. As long as SA and torture aren't depicted as something healthy or normal, that's fine. I think what I'm worried about is that the main cp should be believable to me and I can't really stand much when someone treats their partner like trash. Power imbalance is fine, but I *need* to see that the characters genuinely care for each other.

So I'm waiting for more eps to come out and hopefully binge watch the series. BUT I've seen stuff online and now I am a bit lost/unsure if I should give it a chance.
I was expecting this series to be kinda dark and gritty but Porsche's character seems to be painted as... comic relief? I mean, in all the clips I've seen, he's either fainting, failing in everything, breaking stuff and so on. T_T Being funny is fine, but isn't he supposed to be a badass bodyguard or something?
Also, Kinn seems a bit off. I don't blame him if he thinks that Porsche is an idiot (again, from what I've seen online, if I were him I would've fired P. asap!) but I'm worried basic respect is nowhere to be found. Maybe it's because their backgrounds are different (?) but idk. What do you think about their relationship so far?
I'm a sucker for dangerous characters obsessed/in love with their partner, but Kinnporsche might not be what I'm looking for then lol

Hey, if you're used to those shows and want something *really* good, I'd stay away from this.
Of course we can judge just one episode so far, but as you can see from many other comments, it's not that promising. I haven't watched UWMA so I can't comment on that but I can tell you that you might be better off approaching this show only if:
-you have low expectations (that may or may not be proved wrong if the plot/acting improves A LOT in the next few episodes)
-you *really* like the cast, for some reason (?)
-you just want to chill watching something sweet and average
-your "plan to watch" list is very short and you don't have potentially better stuff to watch
