I'm not saying Licheng and Teng's parts was bad, they were suuuuper cute and the acting is good, but sometimes…
You're welcome. A lot of times when I recommend a show to someone, they watch it and then tell me they hated it. 😢 But, that's ok and I don't take offense. I just keep on recommending things. I hope you will be able to enjoy at least one of the shows!
I'm getting tied of how difficult it is to even watch BLs now. I have a VIP subscription to Viki but Ep 6 won't…
Regarding those toxic sugary fluids that BL characters seem to drink (especially Thai high school characters and engineering students), I've always wanted to know what those little chewy balls are floating in those bottles. I think the product is called Oishi. I see it advertised and used a lot in Thai BLs. I see them drink this certain beverage and then start chewing. I never had a beverage that I had to chew unless it was milk past its expiration date. Does Oishi taste delicious with those little floating balls? I hope the constant use of this beverage in BLs is not the reason there is an increase in ulcerative colitis ads. 😨
Please, please may a second season actually be made. If ever a show needed a sequel, it is this one. I need to know what happened to Yeon Woo's mother. I would love if they introduced Yoo Han's family. They seem to be rich and powerful. And of course, I hope Min Jae and Joo Haeng are in Season 2 to lighten the mood when things get too intense and dark.
War really knows how to play guitar. And drums and piano.
The beginning of this clip when War is playing the guitar is my favorite solo of his. I just wish I could find a longer clip of it: https://youtu.be/kChDHWFQhcQ
Is the actor playing Uenoyama a guitar player in real life? If he is not, he is doing a real good job making it look like he knows what he's doing when he's playing the guitar. I really like the music, so far. Especially that jam session scene when Mafuyu meets the other band mates.
I must agree. That line -- combined with his speech about being a player and his attitude in the flashbacks --…
In part 2, Film came across as a guy who wants to date a guy just for a lark or for his own amusement. Like he was saying to himself "Hey, I never dated a guy before. What the hell, I'll give it a try." I feel in the end, someone like him would just dump Kong once the novelty of dating a guy wore off and he would wind up breaking Kong's heart. Kong seems confident and secure in his attraction to guys and he deserves someone who is more heartfelt in his feelings. I was really disappointed in the direction the story and Film's character took in part 2, since I really liked part 1.
After watching ep 4, I am convinced it is humanly impossible for anyone to be as beautiful as Boat is in his role…
Sun's likeability along with his beauty make me have a huge crush on him. He is so nice to look at but also super sweet for a bodyguard. In America, we call a very attractive person a dreamboat. So there you have it, Boat is a dream.
I'd argue it's good...by BL standards. At the very least, I really dig the premise. I've seen so many BL that're…
If you like mysterious backstories with a different kind of story that has never been seen before in a BL, I would recommend Color Rush. Not all of the mysteries are answered at the end but I just read there will be a Season 2 that will hopefully answer the lingering questions of the fate of certain characters.
Just because people make fun of something and recognize it's terrible doesn't mean they're not enjoying watching…
I just wanted to let you know that I have often read your comments for shows and at first I thought you were too ruthless in your opinions. But, recently I have changed my mind about this. I like your comments now because I realize they can be insightful, well thought out, and sometimes damn funny. I laugh out loud at the things you say sometimes (for example, your review of Don't Say No and you said "Is anyone ever going to play a sport where they don't hurt their leg?" And I thought, oh my god, I hope you didn't watch Nitiman because both male leads were using crutches at one point.) I, also, watch BL to help me forget my troubles for an hour or two. I don't expect every BL I watch to be award winning. There is nothing wrong with pointing out a shows flaws but still watch it. Sometimes I watch shows that are so bad because they are fun to watch for their total awfulness. If that makes me weird, so be it. As for Golden Blood, I watch it because of Boat. You like it when he takes his shirt off. I like his facial stubble. I know this might seem a shallow reason to watch or like a show but sometimes that is what I need at the end of a crappy day. Also, even if your comments can be harsh they can also be witty and put a smile on my face. So, I say to you, keep on watching and keep on commentating!
The acting was really good in this short film. In only 17 minutes of this short story, the actors portraying these characters convinced me that they were attracted to each other and their flirting was spot on. The last scene showing their shyness was excellent. I have watched other BL's that are 10 or 12 episodes long and have never felt any chemistry between the leads. Here it was done in only 17 minutes. Well done to Non and Rossi.

This is true. I have to be choosy about what streaming services I want to pay for. I am on a limited budget so I only have Netflix and Viki and I just added ThaiBLFan92. But, that will have to be it for me. I can't do anymore than that. I do tend to watch a lot of stuff on dailymotion and YouTube which I know has a lot of pirated stuff. But, dailymotion and YouTube can be frustrating because of the ads. As for episode 8 of Siew Sum Noi, I have a feeling it will be uploaded on dailymotion on Tuesday or Wednesday. I know episode 7 was.
Anyone know where I can find episode 8 with english subs?
Unfortunately, the producers of the show have never officially released Siew Sum Noi with English Subtitles or made it officially available outside Thailand. If people are watching episode 8, it might be through the broadcaster of the show, AIS Play, and it could be an unsubtitled version. I am not sure. What site did you watch the previous episodes? I watch this show on ThaiBLFan92 patreon site. You'll have to subscribe, though. It's $5 US dollars a month but it is worth it because they do a really good job with the English subtitles. They even subtitle the lyrics to the music, text messages, and previews for upcoming episodes. They work really hard on the subtitles and the video quality is excellent so I don't mind paying $5 a month. ThaiBLFan92 also has a lot of other BL shows they have subtitled. ThaiBLFan92 usually releases the previous episode on Tuesdays which means the English subs for episode 8 will be released on their site tomorrow. Unfortunately, people are pirating ThaiBLFan92 's subtitling work and then downloading it onto other sites. So, that is probably why you can't find it anywhere because ThaiBLFan92 won't release episode 8 until Tuesday. That's when the pirates will come and download it on other platforms.
I promise I’m gonna try and pay attention to this plot as much as I can, but Sun (especially when he’s fighting…
This might sound strange but I really liked Sun's facial stubble. The "I have not shaved all day look" is appropriate for his character but I also find it sexy on him. On a less frivolous or shallow point of view, I thought the first episode was well done. I like Sky's friend Bank. The female leads so far are not annoying. Is Pitch a nemesis or not? Also, the show has a really good production design. Sky's house is really nice. I wish I could live in a place like that.

I would give it a try. I am enjoying the show. It is lighthearted and it is interesting to see a different geographical area of Thailand other than Bangkok. As for Friend Forever, I tried watching it on YouTube or dailymotion and they had some of the worse subtitling I have ever seen. Half the time I didn't understand what the heck the characters were trying to say to each other because the subtitles were so bad! I learned about ThaiBLFan92 just a few weeks ago; so, after I finish watching Siew Sum Noi I am going to watch their subbed version of Friend Forever and maybe I'll finally get some clarification on the story and dialogue.

I feel conflicted about History 4, also. I actually stopped watching and I don't know if I will go back to continue watching. For me, it is not one I will re-watch. As for recommendations for other BLs, these BLs I do re-watch because when I'm struggling in my life they make me forget my troubles for a few hours. Also, some of them tell really interesting stories about discovering who you are or how you want to live your life so you can be happy. I just started getting into South Korean BLs as you can tell from my list. My all time favorite is Cherry Magic (Japan) but I see from your list you already have seen that. And since you said any country is fine, I recommended some non-Asian BLs.
Color Rush - (South Korea) To My Star - (South Korea) You Make Me Dance - (South Korea) Mr. Heart - (South Korea) Seven Days (Monday-Thursday) and Seven Days (Friday-Sunday) - (Japan) I Told Sunset About You - (Thailand)
If you want to watch something not from an Asian country, I would recommend:
Skam (Season 3 only) - Norwegian version only God's Own Country (2017 movie) - England Jongens (Boys is the English title of this 2014 movie) - Netherlands Plan B (2009 movie) - Argentina

I'm really struggling without this show in my weekly rotation. It's the raw intimacy and vulnerability . I miss…
I miss Lovely Writer, also. I check back every day to see when the special episode is going to air. Some say on June 1 (USA time zone). I hope that's true. If you watch shows from Japan, I would recommend the BL "Seven Days: Monday-Thursday" and its sequel "Seven Days: Friday -Sunday". Putting the two shows together it is about the length of a two hour movie. I go back and watch it every now and then when I need something calming and sweet. I haven't really seen a BL with this story line before so it was unique to me.
I need to know what happened to Yeon Woo's mother. I would love if they introduced Yoo Han's family. They seem to be rich and powerful. And of course, I hope Min Jae and Joo Haeng are in Season 2 to lighten the mood when things get too intense and dark.
