About the not forgiving part, it actually explain well on script. Unfortunately, it was cut on drama.

If you watch historical drama focused on Qing's era, you'll find women's characters like this even much more than on LLTG.

There are ridiculous expectations on C-ent about weight, mostly on its actresses, but also applied to the actors. I read that because if they put on weight, it won't look good on costume drama because its layered clothes, and looks bulge on camera.

That's why, one of the way they complimenting someone, particularly girls, (in real life interview /comments or in novel) is that they were skinny.

The bullying/bashing should not be tolerates. One must realize that even their chemistry is sizzling hot, they were actor/actress in their own right, and they will have future projects to act along and even kissing lots of other actors/actresses.

However, I saw post of 1 WuLu CP fansite that clearly stated that they will support LeoLusi's future projects, and I read on Weibo WuLu CP fan also state the same thing, and other said that even they don't support WuLu's future projects, they also have their own fave artists (not WuLu) to support.

There's always a toxic person within CP fandom, but I'm glad that mostly I find/read rational comments.

Fortunately, WuLu didn't have a heavily CP promotion within drama airing and both of them didn't fry CP, so what I read from most of WuLu CP fandom comments, the state of mind is 'even they don't like each other in romantic way, I wish they will remain best friend.'
And actually, most was realized that this 2 are still young and prioritize their career.

But I think that, if the script can gave CSS ability as a builder and inventor, even without the transmigration background, they also can give her other storyline which the goals that she can saved herself.
But by doing that, there won't be a scene of HYB's heartfelt confession towards CSS when he saved her.

Thats because on drama, they toned down HBY unhinge nature. In the novel, to earn CSS forgiveness, he was groveling hard, including snatching CSS in front of her fiance, crying, biting CSS, etc. In this drama, HBY was a gentleman and respecting CSS decisions to stay away from him.
But, the bad effect on this change is, unlike in the novel where CSS outwitted LJT, they dumb down CSS as a character that need to be saved, for adding the reasons why CSS should forgive HBY.

Do not forget the part 1 too... Make them both hit 9.0

I may add :
FL didn't automatically/instantly fall in love with ML when he saved/defend/proposed her.

FL didn't taking path of virtue and easily forgive ML when he hurts her, even if the reason of that hurts is valid, because he wants to protect her.

ML didn't forsake his revenge even if he knows that he will lose the one he love.

All the characters have their own purpose and shined, there are no fillers.

There are article about this. All of the cast are carefully chosen. Producer and Director have agreement to find actors/actresses that fit the description of the characters based on the novel itself.

The Sword and the Brocade, Seven and Wallace's chemistry is adorable. This is also kinda a family drama.

I read the same comment, and I think not only that user marekh, but also that Ekaterina. Seems sound fair and like Lusi, but targeting her fans and said the trolling is Lusi's promotion method. While all I see in Twitter and MDL, LLTG have the respectful comments, and we were busy just dissecting LLTG's story and characters, without minding other drama... Or do I missed something?

I think disappointment arise was not about LBY taking his revenge.
He have to take revenge, that his goals and his life was shaped because of it. If he choose to forsake revenge it will be too corny and cause bigger disappointment.
I think that, its because his inability to trust CSS for telling her the truth about his background, who he truly is.
From the conversation with the Empress, CSS learn to fully trusting LBY, to share not only the good, but also the bad.
On ep 41, CSS also persuaded the Emperor to let LBY go to war, to capture Peng Kun, because she knows how meaningful it was to LBY. So it shows it was never about the revenge, but the lack of trust.
This is remind me a sentence from other novel. "In time of peace, I chat with you. In time of peril, I plot with you. "
LBY will share the 'peace', but not the 'peril' with CSS, hence the feeling of abandonment.

For my POV as a reader and viewer that mostly in line with female perspective, what I feel is not disappointment, but sadness.

(It also makes me realize how deeply immersed I am with this story... like seriously.. 😅😅)

For me, WL dishes LBY perfectly. A little bit wooden on few earlier episode but after that.. how do I say it.... it become his trademark. Even it become kinda cute.
Delivery on romance and action scenes is top notch.

About line delivery, maybe other C-speaking viewers can offer opinion on that, because I saw that one of the earlier critics of ML and FL is their lines.

The discussion about future episodes and what will be expected from the characters and storyline, is bound to happen from a drama that adapted from novel, because the viewers is not just only drama fan, but also from novel fan, also
myriad opinion will be state because every person have their own POV. For me, i don't mind that because its interesting to read a lively discussion.

Also, I want to see what kind of action and groveling that LBY will do, to make CSS, that so heartbroken and sick - that even her family bought coffin because they thought she won't survive - forgive him and want to be with him again.

Its not about being LBY's apologist or not. Its because LBY dissapointed when CSS doesn't fully open, trusting and telling LBY about her being bullied by those princesses, and lots of viewer's comment berated CSS for that and criticized CSS when she wants to revenge to those bullies by herself.
So when LBY did the same thing, its expected that LBY will get the same courtesy from the viewers.

We love, hate, criticized and defended the characters because we immersed in the story itself. I rather enjoy the ride, and seeing what will unfold later.
