I like him too. In a way, he is like LBY, such a interesting character to look at in drama, but in real life one will stay away from them.
Also feels like he is like YuanYi, harsh towards CSS, but harsher towards others who berated CSS.
He is sarcastic and little narcissistic, because he indeed one of the best from his. Also, his banter with CSS, etc, is entertaining.

IMO, i find LLTG's CP photoshoot was good and served it purpose to promote the drama, and I don't find the 'distance' that OP stated.

The photoshoot they took is CP concept. The pose is appropriate, the photos came out good, and it achieved its target to promotes the drama. Why we should analyze their 'distance'? They were friends that take care each other on set, and based on their livestream, they have the same wavelength.

I think, before, she took photoshoot with Xu Kai Cheng during AFSAATIC. She also have photoshoot with Jiong Min (although he is 2nd lead on IHY). She also have photoshoot with WL for LLTG.

Maybe because different roles brought different dynamic, and from other BTS, both was make fun of romance scenes, then switch dialogues to Sichuanese. But, whatever the dynamic between those two bts, they delivered and coveyed the romance scenes on screen perfectly.

This is actually a refreshing POV within C-drama niche itself that, even ML saved FL, FL not automatically fallin for ML, instead she choose the one that she imagine to build her life with. That's why, CSS n LY broken engagement's scene was wrenchingly hurtful and beautiful at the same time, both in novel and drama.
This power inequality on CSS and LBY's relationship had been raised by CSS throughout the drama, conversation on ep 26 "Don't you like power" "Its your power, not mine", ep 28 "Now, this Deity will marry me", latest on epi 35, CSS conversation with Empress, thats why she always try to deal with her problem alone and later along the way, she will learn to confide on LBY.
That's is why, what interesting about their love journey is both CSS and LBY POV about their relationship is a valid concern, then step by step, they compromise and strengthen it.

About ep 31-32, IMO, CSS doesn't need LBY to protect her, but she needs LBY to teach her to protect herself. That's why their conversation on epi 26 is important "Don't you want power? " "It's your power, not mine"

It was LBY that drag her into his world, and on epi 30, she said, for his sake, she's trying to get used life in the palace, to face what he is facing, to learn about him. But what will she learn about LBY is like iceberg, because LBY conceal himself so well and he was part of the palace intrigues.
Despite LBY's adoration towards CSS, he is not explain clearly where he stand, what his goals, and CSS, being naive as she is regarding palace politics, didn't think far how her advice affects lives in bigger scale. But warning without clear explaination, kinda useless to CSS who give back kindness or grievances the same amount even more, to its giver.
This epi 31-32, feels like epi 1-4, on describing background story how the plot will unfold later and epi 31-32 is stimulating because its having viewers have different perspective .

Yet she got nothing but praise and words of kindness from those who works with her. And lately there are melon that said, Yang Xiao Pei, WRTW producer, want Lusi for her drama.
You blaming Lusi's fan for saying those 'zero chemistry' then blaming YY while I saw YY fan also said the same thing and blaming Lusi, moreover YY fan credited the success of WRTW on YY alone, even blurred Lusi's pic on WRTW. It's a pity, because based on reuters and livestream interview, YY and Lusi getting along so well.
I'm aware that are that there are toxic people among fandom. You cannot control others, but at least you can control oneself. But here you are, stoop so low like the one you hate.

For me, part 1 have it own charm, the introduction of characters and its background, the coming of age and romance encounters. Part 1 narrate a family drama, in a small scale, because its focus on Cheng family and a bit of LBY's family, Part 2 also narrated a family drama in bigger scales because involving Royal Family and its branches.

I also hoping that we will encounter a lot of fun in incoming episodes..

I love how the characters sits in grey area.
Lady Wen was showed on ep 28 n 29 as a hateful character, yet later it shows that her father also fall into villain's schemes, and actually she and LBY have the same enemy.
Wang Ling is spiteful, but when CSS pointed out her flaws she kinda being softened a lil (......really just a lil)
Yue consort have the crooked family, real nasty family, yet she's the most savage and fair character.
Crown prince indeed a good guy, but too softhearted and tolerated his incompetent subjects.

One that interesting too, is when LBY forewarn CSS for not intervene in place intrigues and to not easily trust palace's peoples, yet CSS won't shying away from it because in the future, because she's LBY's bride to be, she will face those problems.

Its really satisfying to encounter a good story ❤

This palace intrigues on ep 29-30 is really good, really well written.
