The weapon (octagonal crossbow) used by their enemy country, North Qi, is similar to one of the Wei family's creations, but not used due to its high risks. Chu Yu's father and brother's downfall was caused by the use of that weapon in the previous battle with North Qi. They think the traitor is in the Wei family, and therefore, he's keeping tabs on Wei in case his sister encounters danger.
