No I haven't and I also didn't know he was back in a drama, Thanks for telling me!! I am not really digging the male lead though but I will still try to watch it someday just for Kang Seung Yoon ! Have you watched it? Is it good?
''So Yong is Bong Hwa's past life self and Bong Hwan will meet his own Cheoljong in 2021 *a wild Cheoljong appears*''Ohh…
The best ending would be Bonghwan to keep So Yong's body, after all she killed herself so he didn't steal her body or whatever... But a 2021 Cheoljong would do too, they always give us this kind of ending, why not here :( I will watch the chinese original version, I liked this drama so much, the original must be good too!
I am also disappointed, I understand how this ending can be fulfilling for some but I also think the relationship between Bonghwan and Cheoljong was thrown away with So Yong's return. Imo Bonghwan - in the library watching the portrait in the history book - is in love with the King, and the King - wondering if he lost something while touching the Queen's dictionnary - is in love with Bonghwan, that is the proof that this ending is messed up. It is national TV, they couldn't let them be together, for i guess conservative purposes. I'll take it as it is and write my own ending... something in the lines of: So Yong is Bong Hwan's past life self and Bong Hwan will meet his own Cheoljong in 2021 *a wild Cheoljong appears* now deserves a full 10/10
What nonsense there was loads of better ways for it to end they could have had a sad ending which would have been…

depending on how you interpret the ending, it can be either bittersweet or happy. it's a bit ambiguous. definitely…
In my ending version (hahaha), they part ways in the mountains like I go this way, me this way okay bye :') and then there is the ost with landscape views of Wei Ying walking his way with his donkey, then he is seen playing the flute along with the ost. Him playing the flute here could also be a way of "mourning" his love. And then, final seconds a man voice from behind can be heard calling Wei Ying. You don't see the man but he calls him "Wei Ying" - which is how Lan Zhan calls Wei Ying - and then you only see Wei Ying's face turning around and his face has so many expression and then a big smile - same expressions he gave Lan Zhan during all the drama. So my ending interpretation is that Lan Zhan couldn't go his own way after parting and ended up following and catching up to Wei Ying and calling his name when he found him. The smile on Ying's face can't be interpreted otherwise!!
I don't really enjoy historical cdramas because of the visual effects. Should I still watch this? It seems like…
Some effects were badly done, but only a few, most of it was really well done, especially the little paper guy ;) This production had some budget, go ahead
is there any romance is really can't watch something if it doesn't contain romance
Coming from a romance addict, I definitely recommend! As everyone already mentioned, no kiss, no confession but damnn I could feel love from every angles. There is more than 1 couple, and the family love is also remarkable. Censured, yet it was done so beautifully, subtle and poetic, if you can watch anything with romance this is for you. I am not even into chinese drama, even less wuxia, but I marathoned this one 10/10. OST is great too, I was whistling all along
So I started this series thinking I would watch some episodes from time to time in-between other dramas, ended up marathoning up to ep50. It's a 10/10 for me, I can't even imagine if there was really BL in there I would have died maybe
I really hate that I almost didn't watch this because of the special effects in the first episode
Me too I feel you!!
I also almost dropped it at episode 2 because I couldn't understand the story, everthing was messy and some special effects were shabby.. However my mistake!! It is well done and the plot is getting somewhere at ep3 when you go to the past to see what's happened beforehand.
I also kept on because of the BL but haha got tricked by my self expectations, should have read some comments on this because the BL here is a bromance, but the story got so interesting I couldn't care less, and I could feel the love anyway! (I initially thought the show was bad but the BL was good, hence the high ratings hahah poor me)
I hope those who hesitate to take this drama on, or consider dropping give it a chance and keep watching a few more episodes!
ps. I have years of experience in asian dramas, but this is one of my first time Wuxia
I have a hidden dream, to see lookalike actors, like her and Park Shin Hye ie, act in a drama together as siblings or something, writers please hear me~~
Her performance in My Secret Romance is outstanding. She gave life to her character and perfectly delivered every line. Despite being the villain, she is quickly seen in another light. She is more than an evil yet beautiful sexy brainless rival. I am really disappointed by her "dramagraphy" because I would watch anything she stars in. I am still looking forward to any new project!
Her character in Secret Romance is terrible. She's relying on her looks, not her intelligence - yikes.
When did she? I just rewatched and I have to disagree. Joo Hye Ri is a renowned announcer, she has multiple scenes where we can witness she does great at her job. She never relied on her beauty, even to scout the writer to her talking show. Of course she is pretty and simple in a funny way, but relying on her looks, not intelligence, I disagree, I wonder what made you think so?
Have you watched it? Is it good?
This should not have been removed!!!

Ruined her beauty? She definitely looks the same
