This drama was good but a bit slow paced for my liking. I have to admit I watched the whole thing only because of Evan Lin! I did not get tired of that eye candy, LOL. For me I the chemistry between the ML and FL was lacking. Their kisses seemed a bit forced and not natural.
It started off with a nice pace but halfway through it really lagged. I'm glad I watched the whole thing but wouldn't re-watch.

After reading the mixed reviews I still thought I'd give it a go and it was definitely worthwhile watching. The cast was fabulous, really enjoyed seeing the characters develop. The love triangle was so well scripted I found myself jumping from one ML to the other and at one point I was sure I wanted Chu Qiao to end up with one of the MLs and in the end changed my mind. My favourite scene was in the last episode/ ep 58 when Chu Qiao has her last dialogue with Yan Xun, he asks her about her feelings towards him. She is so candid with her response and so open with her feelings. It was such a memorable dialogue and so sad, and he asked "in all these years did you ever love me?".......
I only hope there's a season 2. Take a chance and watch this drama, you won't regret it

Title Best Wedding Spoiler
A dark depiction of a strongly patriarchal society. Where especially in Chaebol families this seems to be quite common. ML's family were disgustingly patriarchal and showed that with money, connections and power you can get away with anything in South Korea. Money & power seem to rule over the Law. The ML needed a good kick in the backside. His attitude to love was toxic and obsessive. He was emotionally unstable and reactive. He acted without thinking, constantly doing things to hurt the FL/his love interest. He did everything to destroy her only because she did not agree to marry into his family, quit her job that she had worked so hard for and be happy to serve his family at all their traditional events. Take on a submissive serviant role in his family. The FL/she was a career woman, brought up by her mother., as the father didn't seem to be in the picture and due to his infidelities the FL grew up 'not trusting men' and hence why she didn't believe in marriage. She had struggled all her life and was able to achieve her dream job and when she fell pregnant she decided to risk everything for her future baby's happiness. Knowing well that they had a very difficult path ahead of them where they would have many obstacles and criticism that she and her son would have to encounter.
Lastly let me just say the ML and FL's love story was toxic and twisted! The ending was so rushed, it could have continued at least for another episode and may I add, what a ridiculous ending it was!

I had high hopes for this drama. I'm not saying it was bad but I personally didn't thing the FL and ML had great chemistry. Their kissing scenes weren't very convincing. There were scenes I expected more tender & passionate moments but it was way too PG for me. The storyline was a slow burner. It frustrated me that although the FL was meant to be very cultured and intelligent there were scenes contradicting this, showing her as naive and even a bit ignorant. On the flip side the ML was portrayed always as intelligent and strong.A genius and rare talent of the music world. Then in the 3 years that passed he studied business economics and is CEO of a conglomerate. Meanwhile she finishes her doctorate which is a huge achievement but the ML development was celebrated and validated more. It does annoy me seeing this in a lot of cdramas where it's rare to find a FL character that is strong, intelligent and charismatic and outshines the ML. There always seems to be an imbalance in power with male characters always in a stronger position than that of the females. In the last few episodes it's brought to the attention of the ML that his fiancee might be suffering from a mental health issue, whether it was paranoia, whether it was temporary or chronic this wasn't analysed further or treated. I believe the screenwriter brought up some topics and these were left open, they weren't resolved. OR was that just my take on this. On a positive note the OST is quite nice and cinematography. The ML had great visuals I would have preferred a different FL. I still enjoyed watching it but won't be re-watching.

I didn't hate it to my surprise. I had read quite a few reviews and thought I should skip watching it but in the end my curiosity got the best of me, so I thought I'd simply enjoy it for the great OST, cinematography and visuals and wasn't expecting much. Chemistry between the leads - there was always an aura of sexual tension, desire and flirtation between them, Although Yu Na-bi & Park Jae-eon's relationship was quite toxic, there were moments of sincerity. Na-bi wanted reassurance from Jae-eon that he liked her and care about her. Right up until the end she knew she might still get hurt by him.... but Nevertheless

Thanks for your review. I really don’t like to watch dramas with such a big generational age gap either. It’s…
I would recommend 18 Again to you - although it's a noona kdrama it's so good! I'd re-watch it. Check out the trailer first

Off topic. This question if for anyone who lives in China or experienced living in China. Are relationships in…
Something I've noticed in a lot of Cdramas as you say the FLs tend to be either from a poor background, naive, not very smart and 'short' paired up with a very tall ML! What's with that?!
I've seen many boring bob hair cuts and usually the second FL who is always the nemesis of the FL is usually much more attractive - from a wealthy or powerful family and is book smart and is always secretly in love with the ML. I'm tired of seeing dumb and naive FLs! It would be great to be able to see more smart, witty FLs who stand up theirselves and basically kick ass!
On You Are My Destiny Jul 26, 2021
I've seen the Korean version a few times which I love but I enjoyed this version even more. The FL and ML's chemistry was sooooo good! You felt their passion, pain and sincerity. I applaud XZL and LJ on their acting. I couldn't help watching the behind the scenes too where their chemistry was evident. Loved it and would re-watch.

Wow! This drama had me hooked from beginning to end. It was gut wrenching at times, exciting. It had me at the edge of my seat. I loved the ML and FL's chemistry but have to admit I suffered second male lead syndrome. Would definitely re-watch.
On The Rational Life Jul 26, 2021
I really enjoyed this drama but for me you could really tell that there is a 19 year age gap in real life between Dylan Wang and Qin Lan in their kissing scenes. It felt a bit uncomfortable to watch because it lacked passion and commitment to the kiss. Apart from this their relationship was very cute in all other aspects. It was refreshing to see a strong female lead, who was confident, intelligent and wasn't easily fooled. Definitely worth watching.
On My Roommate Is a Gumiho Jul 26, 2021
I really enjoyed this drama. The ML and FL had great chemistry but I have to admit I suffered 2nd male lead syndrome throughout the drama. The actors in the supporting roles also had interesting storylines. I laughed, cried and was swept up in their love bubble. I'd definitely recommend it and re-watch.
On Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo Jul 26, 2021
Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo has to be one of my favourite period dramas. It has a great cast with lots of character development. The production and storyline is fantastic. with a fabulous OST.
The love stories are so beautiful and profound, there's sadness and laughter. When it ended I couldn't believe there wouldn't be a season 2. This is definitely one I'd strongly recommend and re-watch every so often.

Really enjoyed watching this drama from beginning to end. The OST is really good and all the performances. Great performances all round from all the cast. As I finish the last episode I continue to
play 'Constellations' in my head. Worth re-watching

Review Oh My Boss
I'm sorry but are you on ice?! How can you think that this drama is a 10! it was really terrible!!!
On Oh My Boss Jul 15, 2021
Title Oh My Boss
I really wanted this drama to be at least entertaining. With some romantic scenes and character build up but every episode from the first episode I found myself wanting to stop watching it because the plot and story line were terrible,. There's no depth to the script, character development is non-existent and the acting of the ML and FL was really poor. I got up to the beginning of Ep 8 and when I saw the FL sitting at an all pink desk with pink desk accessories I thought I was going to vomit! I just couldn't stand watching the FL any more playing a naive and stupid young woman, who's actually really competent at her job as a Japanese interpreter but still acts as if she has low intellect. I wanted to stick it out to the end but I just can't do it! If you want to waste your time then give it a go.
