after watching the latest 4 episodes, i agree. It began as a hostile takeover but you can now see the love he has for his new mum, dad, and brother and also his grandpa. Now he just wants to protect his grandpa's legacy.

Also, inheriting the whole chaebol empire is sad and lonely. You can't even trust your own kids. Grandpa did the right thing with his plan for DJ. DJ is happier as he is and can do just fine on his own with what grandpa left him. DJ already have loving parents and a loving brother. It's just sad because DJ looks like he wants to save SY for his grandpa's sake.

the funny thing is when DJ told the uncle that he could have saved SY card with 1.4 billion instead of using that money to buy the 2% shares lol

I hope DJ doesn't turn into the old man and have a redemption arc if needed. DJ is doing that thing that the old man is doing - reflecting on how hard it is being poor so they're more determined to win

i'm not sure but from what i've heard, the novel is very long and the series is still ongoing. If the script is based on the novel, i heard from others that it's a story about 4 male characters. Out of the 4 characters, cheng yi will most likely play the scholar whose really book smart but don't have much war/political strife experience. He gets through his hurdles through his wit. Also, the scholar gets thrown into the political fight so his not a main player in the war but rather, gets swept into the fight (not sure if that makes sense). his weakness is that his too kind and innocent. His best friend is the general (one of the 4 main characters). apparently the females are not the main focus of the books. can't wait until we get more news on the synopsis to see if this is true

same here. I only pick her because the other choice is Ju JingYi haha. Chengyi and Chen YuQi looks better together than the other option
