I am starting to think that one of the reasons why it didn't pass through censorship is because not only does it promote a deep connection between two males, it has a happy ending T_T . I heard word of honor had two endings prepared and decide to send the open ending (to try to fool censorship that it is sad ending) in fear that censorship would not approve of the drama if they don't make it sad ending.

With BL been banned in China, does this mean immortality will never be released unless it is extremely edited to show no signs of BL? Has there been cases where dramas get shelved and never see the light of day? T_T

rumour has it the author contributed to the script writing because there are too many books. If anything, they could cut out book 1 because Lu Yun doesn't become a major character until the end of book 1. I wonder what they're going to cut out with so much books to cover though.

that's good to know. I also heard cheng yi's character this time is a bit different. Even though his a scholar, his a failed scholar haha. However his really smart and good at maths. it'll be so interesting to see

yea i just saw. it looks like an old TVB drama from the 2000s. I hope that it's not his main costume because it looks really bad. even the one in lotus casebook is way better than how his dressed in this one and both drama is about a guy with no money T_T

omg IS plot line was so messy. i still watched it because of the cast and beautiful sets though TT_TT

apparently for the sake of the moral of the story, this ending is considered good - the fact that he dies serves as a metaphorical message like how ** dies in nirvana in fire 1. But i agree, I rather have a good ending for cheng yi's character

right now they're up to ep 16 and our characters are on their way to the big fight scene at the end of anime season 2. i think they will include the journey to save xiao se if they keep to the books

same here, they're going to go on a trip to the sea. can't wait for the anime to come out so i won't need to read the books lol

i remember scanning the books a while back and if i remember correctly, there should be enough content for the anime to have season 3 and 4. right now the drama diverge away from the anime a bit. at around ep 9, the drama has already completed the anime season 1 arc. if they cover season 2 arc in the next 10 episodes, then we're on track to get a full book adaptation... as long as they don't diverge away from the books too much
