Same Here. I love it better when fl is older, and wouldn't watch cdramas with 10-12 yr age gap and it would so uncomfortable but the past 5 months i have come to realise that i have been missing out on such good plots just because of my prejudice against a few actors and some cliche trope or etc... But still its hard, me still keeps dropping princess agents... I mean in the past 3 months i think i freed 10+ dramas i marked not interested!! hahahah
I did like crown prince but i never rooted for them.. i did want them to be really good friends, partners in crime, but from my experiences of cdramas so far... i wouldn't want my zhouhua to be wrapped up in harem politics suffer there .. Plus as we saw, the king had to be silent so many times that his children held it against him. That implies that as a king, though he is aware of right and wrong. Even if he is totally aware of the mistreatment, for the sake of the bigger picture or for a peaceful world and balance in the court and so many other reason which might even include protecting the lives of his own, he has to embrace silence. He choose to be misunderstood, though i wonder why he never explained himself. But if he does, he must take some step to correct the wrongs. For if not the his majesty who else can be the light of people. if even the king can't give people justice, who can?

I think its just 8-9 yrs of age gap in drama... And 10 yrs in real. Life of the leads. Quite acceptable.. I was just afraid initially it was 20+.... Coz the ml looks his age.. 40s... Though he is only 30 in the drama... While the fl looks quite.. Bubbly and from starting woth everyone shouting she is young sgaian again bt she is 20s...in drama.. 30s in real.. Plus
