Alice is about a woman who escaped from the future and gave birth to a child, a son to be precise. But her child was born emotionless. He had alexithymia, so she had to teach him about emotion, love, happiness, and sadness. 17 years later, or should I say 18? Anyway, many years later when her son became a teenager "joo won", the people from the future hunted her down and killed her. Before she was killed, joo won saw a device in the sky but didn't think much about it. When he got home, his mother went out to buy soju, but his mother was taking too long to come back. So, he looked for his mother, and upon his search, he found hee sun's scarf. He then went further, and found his mother lying almost lifeless with many gunshot wounds, and at that time he saw the same device he saw previously.

Furthermore, at that moment hee sun died, and for the first time, joo won cried. So, he decided to become a police officer to uncover the mystery behind his mother's death. Years later when he became a police officer, and was on a case, he saw hee sun again which he thought was his mother and hee sun was a professor. And in front of hee sun's student, joo won hugged her. She thought he was a pervert, so she slapped him.
The now hee sun is years older than joo won. And unbeknownst to hee sun, she's actually his mother. But they fell in love with each other. So it's somewhat similar to what you'd refer to as forbidden love.
It's a noona drama, and you'll definitely love it.

Yes, I guess I was wrong about the schedule of midnight romance in hagwon. And it's as you said, it might be because I was too excited. I've also memorized the airing date, so as not to forget it again.

It might be because of the trashy script, but it might also be because of yoo ah in's character that was edited out. They edited all the scenes of FML, so even if it's a promising show, it'd definitely flop because of what Netflix did. And I get it's all business, but a show where all the scenes of the ML is gone, that show can only have average ratings.

I think a lot of watchers are displeased with this drama because of yoo ah in that was edited out. And honestly, I'm displeased too. And it's not because I'm yoo ah in's fan, but I just think he's a gem that Korea shouldn't loose.

Yes, I reached that conclusion upon reading his profile. I didn't want to read his profile because of the way he penned wonderful world. But I just couldn't help it, I had to know more about that screenwriter who intentionally omitted romance from a wonderful show. Then I saw his previous projects, there was little or no difference.

There are many cdramas with attractive plots, but it's just that you're not into long episodes dramas. I've watched many cdramas which I gave no less than 9 and 10 for the amazing plot and acting.

Their time slots are sometimes unbearable, I don't know why they like torturing us watchers so. Take the glory for an example, all 8 episodes was released during the first part, the same time slot was used for part 2.

I agree, he ought to have been replaced with another actor. His acting is definitely top notch but the chemistry he always has with the actresses he's paired with are just ordinary. Lee do hyun always delivers no matter the plot, and he always chooses good scripts.

I wouldn't call it weird cause humans have different preferences to begin with, and it's already rare to come across someone that has a similar tase.
Like I said, wonderful world ending could have been a happy one had the screenwriter wanted it to be a happy ending. He had many chances of penning them as lovers instead of allies of interest. Yeah, you should really try changing your preferences, cause there are quite a number of dramas I want to recommend, but couldn't. And why? Because they are at least 36 or 40 episodes.

MDL ratings are sometimes fair and not at the same time. So, whenever I see a drama that caught my eye, I watch regardless of the ratings.

Yes, the older woman/younger man tag wasn't mentioned because the plot is about the younger self of the husband of a woman in her late 30s. And had yoon sang hyun been the only ML, I would have dropped it in a heartbeat cause his chemistry with kim ha neul was just so,so,so. But with lee do hyun? It's just as you said, "the chemistry was insane"! I gave 18 again a 9 for the awesome plot and acting.

Honestly, I might think of rewatching it if it had contain a slight romance, but it didn't. But then again, I'm happy for you cause you have something to watch with your family. It sure feels nice to gather every now and then.

I couldn't agree more. Moving is just the perfect example for that. Its one of the highest rated drama on MDL but the content was really disappointing, I couldn't make it pass episode 5.

I've watched some highly rated historical kdrama on MDL, but they turned out to be disappointing. I think MDL ratings are not always fair.

I started watching few hours ago and I'm already on episode 3. Loving it so far, am glad I didn't base my judgement on the ratings.

When I started watching episode 1, I wanted to drop it as I was a few minutes in. But I decided to persevere because of ML and FL track records. And wow, I made the right decision cause it started getting it act together from episode 2.
This drama turned out to be surprisedly good, can't wait for episode 7&8 to air!!
