Yes, no ra is indeed better than soo hyun. She's decisive, she was a bit clingy at first, but later gathered her thoughts together. But soo hyun? I just couldn't fathom what she's thinking. It's surprising she forgave her sister and cheating husband. Yes, comprising on hating them is one thing, but not divorcing is another. She's too soft and kindhearted for a FL of a revenge drama. I guess she's the most forgiving and indecisive FL I've come across in revenge plots.

Ahn's style of directing dramas is indeed somewhat "unique". Most of his dramas are slow burn, but I'd say he's a pretty good director. Except for the ending of "secret affair" that was somewhat twisted, overall, it's a very interesting drama. So, you could say it's his "unique" style of directing, and I'm sure other directors have theirs too.

Really? Did I give "remarriage and desires 8.5? I thought I gave it a 9, I'll edit my ratings after I send this reply. I don't know, in "twenty again", I felt something was missing, just couldn't explain what that was, which is why I ended up giving it 8.5, but as for the acting, it's needless for me to say how great the acting is. Each character performed exceptionally well in their respective roles.

I guess, I'll be checking dramacool to see the supposed "masterpiece" "it was sudden like a storm".

I haven't watched "the midnight romance in hagwon" episode 5 yet, but will watch it soon. To be honest with you, I also want to see romance bloom quickly cause romance is not only stated in its genre, but also in its title. So, I hope ahn will give us a quick romance this time.

Defeating the white haired witch is just a matter of time, but I hope it'll be sooner than expected. That reminds me, did you remember the scene in episode 5 preview where the white haired witch asked hye jin to work for her? I just remembered it now.

You want me to be honest? Fine, I'll be blunt, your replies are lengthier than most users. But I wouldn't refer to it as "overly talkative". Although your comments may appear verbose but they're very detailed.

Ye Qing Mei cared for the people and I don't think she'd have loved emperor Qing if he was like that from the get go. I guess being emperor turned him into a cruel person.
Whether it's the imperial treasury, the overwatch council, or the current authority he has now, all those was possible because of FX mother. The least he could do is protect and love her son, but he only cares about expanding his authority.
FX has never had some peace and quiet ever since he arrived at the capital. He's getting tired.

Actually the only one of his four fathers who seems to consistently treat him as one is surely CPP. The Emperor's…
That's a very good description. I'll add the other two.
WZ- the mysterious and extremely skilled father who protected him till he became an adult and eliminates his archenemies.
Fei Jie- The caring father who's mostly not around, but is ready to sacrifice himself for FX anytime.

CPP is the kind of father that wants FX to have unrivaled authority and the highest position possible, "do whatever you want, I'll take the blame", that's the kind of father he is. I'm sure FJ also protects FX in secret. Do you remember when he gave him a group of elite soldiers to excort him to northern qi? That alone proves he's doing what he can, but I guess he's still lacking.

But the emperor? Don't get me started, he's the type of father who sends his own son into a place where he'll be cut between a rock and a hard place, expecting him to charge his way through without giving the slightest help. Furthermore, he's hates it when people gets out of his control.

Person Lee Min Ho
He doesn't , every kdrama he has done after the heirs are average and below expectations.. I am not his hater…
I don't know about you, but I consider his acting one of the best in the industry. His facial expressions are always on spot plus, his firing chemistry with every actress he's been paired with.

I'm telling you, the excitement is worth it!!You made the right decision by rewatching season 1, it'll make you…
I agree, watching two/one episode a day doesn't cut it, it's better to wait for four or more episodes to air before binging this "masterpiece". When I completed all 7 episodes in one sitting, I waited for like 2 days before I watched another 4 episodes, that's been my schedule for watching this drama, so far. In my case, I've completed episode 18, just waiting for episode 22 to air, so I'll be able to watch 4 episodes altogether. But, no matter how I look at it, 36 episodes is not enough.

You seem to be criticizing FJ, right?
FJ has indeed not done much for FX, but he's doing his best. He also said, should there be no way out for FX, he'd bail him out with his life. Speaking of protection, CPP has more authority compared with FJ. CPP commands thousands of soldiers, and that's not all theirs also the armored calvary whose reputation are well know for being skilled and ruthless plus, he has master shadow who can stand alone against a thousand calvary. But FJ? Sure, there's the red armored guards granted by the emperor, but there's also a clause, "they are not to be used for personal reasons". But CPP case is different, he can use the overwatch council, his black armored guards, and shadow for personal reasons.

In my opinion, the emperor hasn't done anything for FX so far, he just view him as a pawn. And to think FX mother was the main reason why he became emperor, but how dare he treat her only son so? I wonder if he's always like that, or being emperor changed him.

"Blood is thicker than water", but I guess that saying doesn't apply in the case of Fan Xian. His biological father consider him a pawn that'll further strengthen his authority, while the people he's not related to by blood love him dearly, some even love him more than they love themselves. It's ironic, right?

You think so? But why do I get the feeling that the emperor doesn't love Fan Xian as much as his four fathers loves him. No, it's not just a feeling, I'm sure about it. Emperor Qing cares more about his authority.

I just completed "twenty again", it's very catchy. I loved how she was decisive with the divorce plus, the awesome chemistry of her and hyun suk was truly amazing, I ended up giving it 8.5. You said you didn't like slow burn romance, but "twenty again is slown burn.

Yes, and although hyun suk kept saying he should address her properly by his title, he loved how she was casual with him cause it showed she's still the same no ra from twenty years back.

I'd have watched "it was sudden like a storm" already as it seems to be a very interesting drama, judging from your detailed summary. But the problem is that I'm not that familiar with dramacool, I've only used it once. For kdramas I use Disney, Netflix, Hitv, and kissasian to watch. Do you think I can find it on kissasian? If so, then that'd be great, if not, then I guess I have to go for dramacool. I'd really like to see what you refer to as a "masterpiece".

Yes, the white haired witch is too old fashioned, she thinks students from two decades ago are the same as millennials, but she's wrong for thinking that way. The students who were supposed to attend hye jin and jun ho's class who were tricked into attending her class complained about her class being super boring. That alone proves, new generation students wants something new. I hope hye jin and jun ho will turn their defeat into a much greater success. Looking forward to episode 5 that'll be airing in less than 24 hours!!
On Joy of Life Season 2 May 24, 2024
What a cruel emperor! I can't believe he actually beat LMC to death, and he even ordered Fan Xian to supervise it? Does he even want FX to take over both the imperial treasury and the overwatch council? He talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.
Besides, what was he trying to achieve with LMC death? Isn't he indirectly elevating corrupt officials.
Replying to foolishp May 23, 2024
The emperor is a piece of $hit
I agree, emperor Qing hasn't been a father to fan xian, not even once. He's calling LCZ his son, what about FX? Or maybe he's forgotten about the only son of the woman who made him emperor.
Replying to Moses ck May 23, 2024
He has his own unique way of doing things. Yes, CPP is very smart and knows how to plot silently. But you'd agree…
Fan Xian hasn't been in the capital for long and yet he's achieved a lot, up to the extent that he's become a threat to many officials and the princes. Furthermore, CPP has his ways of dealing with things and FX has his. Speaking of him learning other ways, he's already doing that, he listens to the advices CPP gives him.
Replying to Megumi-H May 23, 2024
That’s definitely no fairness. In a way the prince raised in palace are proud product of the Emperor, so if…
Yes, he only care about himself. I thought he cared about Fan Xian when he said "make sure to return safely" when he was about to depart for beiqi in season 1. But, I was surprised when I learnt he sent his son to deaths door because he wanted to know the location of the "divine temple". He's too cruel to FX.

Title Tender Light Spoiler
More like an open ending. since wanwan is with zhou lou, nan ya will definitely end up with him after coming out…
I agree, he had too many chances but he wasted it. I thought he was going to believe Nan Ya at least, since he knows her personality. Their high school teacher also vouched for Nan Ya, but he just wouldn't listen.

And honestly, does he have the right to be jealous of Zhou Lou? He couldn't and doesn't want to give anything, but he wants her love? lin fang lu indeed has a beast living inside him!!

No ra didn't know about their relationship at first, she found out later about their affair. But surprisedly, she didn't say anything, she even attended her lectures and calls her by her title "professor" like nothing happened. Her maturity is admirable, for a second, I thought she was going to confront her, but she didn't. Even if she had confronted her, what's the use? People would only gossip about her. She handled it as she should by asking for a divorce. Yes, it ought to be the former and not the latter. It'd be her dumping him and not the other way round.

I think hyun suk has always been aware of his feelings for no ra, he just didn't want to accept it. "She's married", "she has her own life now", "the one she can't do without is her husband." Those were the thoughts running through his head. I'm on episode 13, and I can't believe how shocked he was when he learnt no ra wanted a divorce. No ra eventually adapted to university life. She became friends with a student in her first year like her and a student in his last year. Those two students showed no ra the ultimate sincerity, not like the other students.

Yes, they will become much closer as they join hands to defeat the white haired witch. That's pretty a cheap move to defeat her opponent, I can't believe she's a top instructor, probably the top 1 instructor.
Hye jin and jun ho are upright and kind, I believe they'll get back what they've lost sooner than later. Yes, slow burn story can be annoying sometimes. But you don't find them annoying when the plot is well executed.
Yes, I think you should push back writing your review till you're satisfied with the drama.

Yes, "wonderland of love", it's very interesting. I loved it cause it has action and romance.
Rattan is about interspecies romance. Si teng was betrayed and killed by the one she trusted, so, coincidentally, when qin fang was attacked, he fell to where si teng was buried with his car. And was stabbed by a metal rod, or was it something else? Anyway, as the rod was thrusted deep into his chest and as he was severely injured, he bled, as his blood touched where si teng was buried, she's revived. She then healed the wound of qin fang upon her revival. Qin fang was scared and tried to make a run for it, but he was drawed back by si teng rattan. That's how the journey of revenge and love started. That's just the summary, you'll like it a lot once you start watching. The chemistry of jing tian and vin zhang was super awesome and firing. And you won't have to complain about the episodes being too long, its a 30 episodes drama. I'll be adding "magical women" to my plan to watch list since you recommended it. I trust it's going to be interesting!!

Yes, but the emphasis is still on "his son". So, I think we're on the same page.

I am beginning to sense that emperor dude is not big on fairness and he is just in everything for himself.. and…
Mee too, he's by no means "a righteous emperor". He's all about gaining more power, and I think a country boy winning against his beloved son will weaken that power he tried so hard to build.
