Title Heroes Spoiler
I am conflicted about this ending. I will admit it was better than I expected for some parts. Altogether though, the drama fell flat for me a long time ago. Character development sucked. Story lines fell apart and didn’t make sense.
BCF’s death was a let down. Suicide was too good of an ending for him. SMZ’s death was noble but a let down as well. He could have left with LC and died in the arms of his beloved instead of in front of her and all of their people. I thought LM would kill herself after BCF died. She may as well have, her character served no purpose and her final scene was awkward. It would have been more impactful if she had died with him. WXS’s scene killing the chancellor was ridiculous. I enjoyed watching him mow down the body guards, but when he steps into the palanquin he was an easy target to get sliced up himself. Not surprisingly though everyone just stood there watching. Ok
Glad it’s finally over, my rating stays the same. It didn’t live up to the hype IMHO.

the show revolves around switching souls and youre here talking about science? that's funny dhiushdius
🤣🤣 Yes, I am. I’m a nurse. Professional hazard. Besides, soul switching aside JK would still be JU’s father.

Let me just say, Netflix did an amazing job with this drama. The SFX, y’all don’t understand how tired I am of bad SFX in wuxia and xianxia dramas.
Anyway! This episode had me so excited. I don’t watch teasers and such, I like to be surprised. I was definitely surprised this episode. So glad JU unsheathed his father’s sword. This whole thing about the late emperor being his father is simply impossible.Even though the emperors soul inhabited JK’s body, JK’s biology (trying to keep it PG) made JU. The late emperor is no longer alive to prove JU is his. That whole conversation with JK and PJ was irrelevant, DNA is DNA. Just because you say the child is yours, science will always tell the truth.
I love MD. She may do underhanded stuff, but just like she told SY, he will get what he wants in the end.
I love MD and JU’s chemistry. I keep seeing people say they don’t see it…oh but it’s there. I can’t say I can see them getting together, but I would not be averse to it. The scene when he’s freezing just added the cherry on the cake for me. The first being when he kept telling her she had beautiful eyes. Plus he’s adorable. He should get the girl and the power. IJS

Title Why Her?
fr and then people saying the romance is unnecessary, like let her have someone to love and rely on with whom…
You are absolutely right. Not trying to change your mind, just giving my perspective on why the writer may have pushed this romance so hard. I’m sorry people don’t like it, the character progression is a plus for me. Especially since I worked in this this type of environment with these types of women. That’s why I’m so invested.
Everyone has their preferences. I won’t watch Vincenzo for this very reason, it doesn’t appeal to me. To each his own. Happy Drama watching! Until next week!

Title It's Beautiful Now Spoiler
I held off watching this because I just can not wrap my head around these family dynamics. I could not have lived with my parents that long if they were like that. As per usual, Mi Rae’s mother is unbelievably out of pocket. Whether it’s the adoption (which has no bearings on HJ and who he is as a person) or the fact that her daughter is growing up and spending less time with her, she is doing the most. There is no excuse for being rude to a complete stranger for something that has nothing to do with them and as a parent shouldn’t you know that the more you protest something, the more kids want to do whatever it is. And these people are grown! They are not kids! I am just so confused.
SJ is a hot mess right now and even his mother is being unreasonable. I absolutely get it. She feels betrayed and hurt, but she’s more mad at a stranger than her own son who came up with the plan. SJ and YN have both said that she felt bad about doing it but he kept insisting. He is the worst to me, but I get it. She really liked YN, but the elders of the family started this whole thing and instead of accepting their part in this debauchery, they are pushing SJ closer to the edge of the cliff. SJ should however stop being a brat, man up, take responsibility so everyone can move on. Every kid has a huge lesson to learn in life. As family, all you can do sometimes is sit back and watch them learn it. It doesn’t matter how much you warn them, they have to see it for themselves. This is SJ lesson. Suicide is not the answer, it may relieve the stress of the individual, but it leaves an even bigger mess for the family they leave behind.

fr and then people saying the romance is unnecessary, like let her have someone to love and rely on with whom…
You would actually be surprised at how often seemingly strong, smart, successful women fall for the most unlikely suspect. Especially a younger man. Have you not noticed this is becoming a trend with the dramas that are coming out. There have been rich women to fall in love with their pool boys or their mechanic. It is a thing. Falling for someone that asks you for nothing, doesn’t have an ulterior motive, and isn’t trying to use you all while being there for you. Yes, that is a thing whether people like it or not. To have someone prove themselves over and over by just being there when no one else is especially for powerful women in high places, is like ice water in hell.
Granted they could have found a better way to introduce him, but he is definitely needed in this plot. All of the people that care about her are female except for CYS and I wouldn’t trust him with a ten foot pole because of who his father is.. Her own brothers just want to use her and three other people in her life ship them. Like I keep saying no one is irritated when there is a male lead with a younger woman .
She doesn’t have the 70 million because they haven’t made the sale yet. That’s why chairman Choi and Han are irritated because she put that clause in the contract that the sale would not be completed without her. I believe that’s why they found a scape goat so she could get out of jail and the sale could go through.
And would you stay in a place that is owned by the very people that are trying to take you out? They have already gotten to her once. They have too much access to her any time they want if she stays there.

Title Why Her?
My theory: Choi Juwan and friends assault and almost kill Gong Chan's stepsister, frame Gong Chan. Choi Taeguk's…
Let’s hope CYS maintains his sanity when OSJ doesn’t choose him and he makes up for his father’s mistakes when he takes over TK and that OSJ and GC have a happy ending.

Title Why Her? Spoiler
Halfway through the drama…
I’m still highly invested and I am still team GC. Everyone thinks CYS should have been the ML but they couldn’t make CYS the ML because he would have had to choose between his father and OSJ. GC has no such decision to make. He can fully invest his life to helping and loving her. Even though CYS sacrificed his life working for his father to protect her, he is limited in what he can and can not do for her, unlike GC. While GC has secrets of his own they are not detrimental to OSJ or her life. Whereas CYS’s father and brother are literally trying to get rid of OSJ by any means necessary. Offering to be a double agent just so he can be closer to her than GC is just psychotic thinking. That’s why she needs GC to watch over her and protect her, because CYS is right on the border of the light and dark sides. We’ll have to wait and see what side he chooses. While everybody is hating on GC. Furthermore, we are already seeing signs of his families evil DNA. He wants to compete with GC for OSJ. He tried with the contracts but she is not even looking at dude like that. She sees him as a younger brother and she knows who his family, the same family that has been screwing her over for years. How could they ever be together with a blood feud that deep? She lost her baby for crying out loud, that would have been his niece or nephew. People are not seeing the bigger picture here and apparently he doesn’t know the full story between her, his father and CJW. I’m team GC. CYS can GTH along with his raggedy brother and his evil father. Oh! And I hope something happens to Director Ha!

I can't trust Shen Ru Zhuo because I'm also watching Heroes and he's a bad guy there.
I don’t think I’ve seen him play a good guy in any drama.

Title A Dream of Splendor Spoiler
I don’t even know where to start. 8 episodes to go. That’s not a lot considering all of the misunderstandings and secrets left to uncover and straighten out.
On the one hand we have he issue with GQF and PE . On top of that, the issue with their parents. Now OYX is back about to cause trouble. 8 episodes is not enough time for all the shenanigans that are about to ensue. Which means the ending is going to be rushed or some parts of the plot will be left out. Idk.
My heart bled for GQF. Yes, he was a coward for not facing her and telling her what was really going on and he was an idiot for not handing over the money directly to someone in the house before he ran away. When he said he didn’t think him and PE were getting married I felt like CL. I felt his heart break for them as well. I’m just glad he stepped up and said what he needed to say to Zhaodi. That was cute.
I like CYN much better when he’s not behaving like a spoiled toddler. He’s much more handsome now that he’s serious. A good woman will aways bring out the best in a man. My opinion, ijs!
SSN is a handful. Why is it that shy or timid men like women that are tough? They seem like the most unlikely couple, but I guess it works.
Another week to sit and wait….

I need more than one episode a day. Especially since we have to wait a whole week.
Anyway! I am absolutely in love! This drama has the best SFX I have seen in a drama lately. I love the characters. Poor Jung Uk, he didn’t ask for all of this. It’s his “father’s “ fault. Now he has to go out into the world and become better than all of them. Did he not think it through when he banished him that he still has HY’s torrent of energy in him while his gate of energy was finally opened? He couldn’t have. Underestimating JU is definitely going to cause problems especially since they don’t know that MD is Naksu. Can’t wait to watch this drama unfold especially the fight scenes and all the SFX.
Idk what the significance of Naksu and Seo Yul knowing eachother previously is going to mean later in the drama, but man! That look on the bridge. I was so scared he was going to see the swirls in her eyes. I also thought that he would know or at least suspect it was her when she played the little flute thingy (I apologize because I have no idea what it’s called).

Title Why Her?
fr and then people saying the romance is unnecessary, like let her have someone to love and rely on with whom…
First, let’s leave GC alone he’s a sweetie pie. If OSJ really had a problem with him poking into her business, she would have put up a bigger fight about it. She didn’t. Second, When you are in an environment where everyone is against you, you tend to lean on whoever is there. GC happens to be there consistently and voluntarily. Yes, she calls him when she’s in trouble but he is always there to rescue her. It’s no different than when there is a ML in this kind of drama. They always put a woman by his side that turns into his love interest even though he doesn’t want her involved because it’s too dangerous, but she sticks by his side anyway and eventually helps him overcome the crisis in his life. It doesn’t make him weak, it doesn’t take away from the story line, it gives him someone to trust and makes him more approachable/ likable. Third, if he didn’t poke into her business he would not be able to help her solve this case. He is smart and capable, I’m sure it takes a load off of her mind that she has someone that can match her wits with the facts and suspects of her case. It would be different if he had no knowledge of law and was a doctor or an artist that’s just there as a shoulder like some lovesick puppy. Now, that would be annoying. Fourth and finally, neither one of them had someone to love them. They’ve both had it rough, so them clinging to one another with this us against the world mentality (especially from GC’s POV) is rather sweet and most people don’t get that their entire lives. IJS

Title Why Her? Spoiler
Oh my!! I was screaming at my ipad at the end! My heart can’t take it. I was hoping that OSJ and GC would have spilled the tea about their secrets while on the floor in the bathroom. Guess we’ll have to wait longer for that scene. I don’t watch teasers so I have no idea what’s going to happen next, but I’m here for it.
I’m happy that OSJ has someone to lean on. Women in high places rarely have that due to trust issues (which she obviously has) or most people have the wrong perception of them (again definitely happening in her case). I hope that when she finds out who GC really is she doesn’t get all weird. He truly cares for her.
I’m thinking the girl in the nursing home/ asylum is the girl that was assaulted by CJW and his friends and the baby that him and his wife were raising might be from her assault??? Don’t know if she is GC sister nor do I know what relationship she has with the director and WSP. So many loose ends. So many dots to connect!!
It’s a lot going on in this drama and once again I am so here for it.

Title A Dream of Splendor Spoiler
I hate where this is going but I don’t think I can force myself to stop watching. However, I can see why they chose to keep who GQF’s father is a secret. I don’t think that ZPE would want revenge on him or his father but it would be a good thing for her to use to make his father let them get married and not lose his standing in court. Idk, I hate this trope. Why does there always have to be some major breakup for the CP in every drama? It’s enough going on in the background of this drama that this trope shouldn’t be necessary. If there’s going to be a happy ending and I use that term loosely because who knows what the writers idea of a happy ending is, but if there is one that the audience would appreciate and the main CP gets back together, the the whole thing about his father having something to do with her father’s death was pointless. Just unnecessary drama.
And might I just add, even in the rom-coms there is always this major conflict that breaks up the main CP. For once can we just have a drama that is drama free and just shows a normal couple without all the extra interference and conflict. Okay, maybe some conflict but not the kind that rips peoples heart out and tramples their soul kinda conflicts. Geez! If anyone knows of one, let me know.

Sad ending doesn't equal shitty ending, and happy ending doesn't translate into masterpiece.
What was so happy about autumn ballads ending? Because she got her revenge? that ending was ridiculous. every drama I watch that is about taking revenge is ridiculous to me. I’ve never been one to want revenge on people and I’ve been done dog dirty by people in my life. Life tends to get revenge for me. So to go all out trying to destroy and ruin people is not a concept I agree with. I just want people to heal and live happy, peaceful lives. just my opinion.

IMHO, One and Only had one of the worst endings ever. Sad and bad, lol. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m really tired of watching people die for no good reason. Especially after watching a dram for a month or so just to watch the CP die. So over it.

Sad endings are crappy and quite frankly I’m tired of crappy endings. We’ve invested a lot of emotional equity into these dramas, so I think the audience should get some payout, i.e. happy ending. We ride these emotional roller coasters, watching the plot twist and turn, being fully invested in the characters week after week as they drag these dramas to oblivion. There should be more happy endings. IJS! But I do agree, happy endings do not equal a masterpiece.
