I can’t decide how I really feel about this drama. In the beginning, I was excited especially watching MRF’s fighting scenes. I know he’s not the ML, but the story is about revenge against him, I thought it would be more about HF and MRF. Not really interested in HF love life, nor the foolishness that is TGN and NL. Like, they are in the wrong but TGN is trying to kill him. Makes absolutely no sense to me. I’m going to try and hang in there a little longer, but so far I’m disappointed. It feels like another long, drawn out drama. Just drawn out for the sake of being long and drawn out. I don’t know anything about this story or the other adaptations so this was my maiden voyage into this story, sadly I’m disappointed and not impressed. The only saving grace are the fighting scenes. Not sure if they’ll be enough to keep me watching though.

Now I’m going to have to watch that too,. 🤣🤣

I had not heard anything about this drama before it aired. Then I saw that LYS is in it and had to check it out. I fell in love with him in Love in the Kitchen. I am closer to LYS's age and this drama reminds me of the shows I watched growing up. I've enjoyed watching him. It's a shame this drama probably won't do so well. It definitely has that old-school vibe that would appeal more to a more mature audience.
With that said, I'm just making it to episode 13. I already have the characters I hate and the ones I love. My heart bleeds for MRF and HF. They have both had their struggles because Hero Hu died. 40 episodes seems like a long time to take this journey. I hope that it doesn't drag on and ruin the experience for the audience. I'm already upset about TGN and NL, but I'm in it to see how MRF and HF get on when they meet and how they find out who really killed his parents. What happens to Roulan when she grows up?
It's always so exciting in the beginning to have all these theories and ideas. I try not to watch spoilers and teasers, so I can be surprised. I look forward to this journey though. Here's to a 40-episode journey. 13 down, 27 more to go!

I could listen to Cheng Yi talk all day.......and all night and he probably doesn't even know how sexy his voice is. That was an added bonus to the grey hair. Super sexy. It makes up for XY being a villain.

Letting me know there were cut episodes does not help me get more. It’s just stating that there was more. So not really contradicting if they don’t release them to let us see them.
Make me believe it means, show her having an interest in it at least before you have her coming in hot on horseback like it’s second nature for her. They portrayed her as this super soft spoken, always wanting to keep the peace, people pleaser. It didn’t work for me. It was cute, but it didn’t work. 🤣🤣

Considering that YY wasn’t a lead character I couldn’t care less who the guy was or any of that, but make me believe it. Her learning martial arts is still unbelievable if I THINK about it or not. The point of my post was not for answers, I was merely and clearly stating MY opinion. Besides my questions and concerns still had no bearing on how much I enjoyed it. Just needed/ wanted more.

They didn’t even have to end the episode like that! 🤣🤣 Until next week!

Never knew I needed LBY/ WL with facial hair and hair down. Yup, now that I've seen it I can't unsee it. That part should have had more air time. 🤣
As always, the ending was rushed, stuff overlooked. Don't get me wrong, absolutely loved the drama. I just hate how they drag the drama out until the very end and then speed run the most important parts. I think it should have taken LBY and CSS a little longer to reconcile. LB's wife came out of nowhere, she could have been omitted. Someone else could have caused the life-or-death situation that brought them back together. Plus it made no sense. How did LBY get back topside when the last we saw, LY SIL was hanging off his leg and where did she go? Are we just to assume that he disposed of her in true LBY fashion? There should have been a love interest for YS even though truly disliked his character. When did YY even start a relationship to get married? Wasn't she in love with YS? What else?
I don't like how CSS's mom just realized all of a sudden that she had lost her daughter when CSS went to the palace to be with the empress. Was she delusional until that point? How are you gonna be jealous of someone that took over a job you acted like you didn't want? How are you gonna feel some type of way because your daughter is finally getting the love and attention she needed when you didn't want to do it? I'm sorry, that whole speech about she didn't know how to raise a girl and all of that was BS if you ask me. CSS is a saint for forgiving her.
Speaking of BS! When the Cheng family came charging around the corner on horseback all I could do was laugh and say WTF. When did YY learn how to ride a horse and wield a sword? That scene didn't even look right.
I did like how, in the end, they both got what they wanted and needed though. LBY got a real family fully equipped with brothers, a sister (YY), in-laws, an over-the-top grandmother, and then some. CSS finally got the love she always wanted and needed from LBY and her mother. Oh! And her grandmother finally admitting her fault even though it wasn't directly to CSS.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the drama. Hated for it to come to an end.

I’m fully vested at this point. Maybe I will wait for the second part to complete before I watch it, but I know too much. I expect too much! 🤣

Just a rant!
I’m highly disappointed. We waited 2 weeks for this. Everybody has their suspicions about everybody else, but no one is sure. So it’s just a waiting game. Let’s just wait and see what happens. The dramatic pauses drive me insane. We do not need 5 minutes of people staring off in space, looking stupid, instead of jumping to action. Drives me insane. It was too much fluff in this episode for me, but I’m just impatient. I ff through a lot of today’s episode, hoping for more. All of the conversations that didn’ t pertain to the current situation just wasted a whole lot of time. I hope tomorrows episode is much better.

First of all, y'all can judge me if you want. God knew when to let me be born and where. If I had been born back some 500-1000 years ago, my family would have had to marry me off as soon as possible. Something about those traditional outfits. Every time they do a wide-angle shot of LW walking with that costume on....smh. Me and my husband would have had a million kids. IJS!

Ok, so I'm not paying extra to watch the last episodes, I'll suffer it out, I don't want it to end just yet.

First, let me say. SS knew that he was going to do something and also knew that she could not stop him. He didn't want to implicate her by what she knew or didn't know. As long as he thought she didn't know who he was, she would be spared. Because lying to the king is punishable by death, right?

Second, I did not agree with SS when she asked him to stop his revenge. While her revenge never got anyone killed, she never stopped hers. She always made sure that whoever wronged her got theirs. So, I didn't agree with that. If I were her, he and I would have been back to back. Could just be the hood in me, but we are going out like Bonnie and Clyde, baby. Put your money where your mouth is! Talk is cheap! Especially and she already knew who he was. Waiting for him to tell me would not have been an option. We've had each other's backs all this time. Why stop now? Everything he had done for the past 10 years had just crumbled to pieces before his eyes. How could she ask him to stop?

Third, I laughed so hard at the Cheng family finally stepping up and having SS back. That was a very cute moment.

LY was arrogant right up until the end. He thought he could talk his way out, but little did he know. He was barking up the wrong tree. I felt so bad for LBY as they showed the flashbacks. It hurt my heart to know that he had even witnessed his father's death, watched his brother/ cousin get hung at the city gate, and had nightmares about not avenging his family and held it in all these years. Everybody had their opinion of him, but nobody truly knew him or how much he was holding on to. It's no wonder he never thought about love and marriage. Who could ask somebody to love them as broken as he was? That's why he kept asking her those what if's? Bless his heart. Sadly, society is still this way. Men have to hold it in, be a man, and never let them see you cry. Then everyone is surprised when they snap. IJS! As a nurse, I've seen it too many times and that broke my heart.
Oh baby! And when his aunt said don't forget our revenge....I felt that! I was like yes! Now it may have been wrong to put that pressure on LBY, but he already had it in his mind to kill that sick bastard anyway.

WL and ZLS really showed their acting abilities in this drama. I’ve seen many comments about how they’ve been typecast blah blah blah……so I hope this drama and their performance shut all the haters up!

OMG!! I knew it! And what pisses me off more is how they make the leads seem so stupid. You know if someone takes that long to go do something, something is wrong!!! OMG! This episode pissed me off so bad.

I just started this drama. I wasn't even going to, but I am a fan of Dylan Wang. I am glad to see his acting has greatly improved or that this role and director are a better fit for him.

I'm sorry, he deserves it. After all these years of berating her and trying to humiliate her in front of people, he should get his heart broken. If he wasn't such a prick, they probably could have been friends. Their banter is quite comical, but he's turned himself into the villain for me. He deserves a loveless marriage just like his parents.

This is the part I was so not looking forward to. After all of the sugary sweetness of CSS and LBY, I was so not looking forward to this part. The heartbreak. The love that they share is so sweet. If it weren’t for his secrets and his thirst for revenge…I mean I get it. If that happened to my family I would crawl through hell and back just to take whoever was responsible with me. I understand he feels the emperors punishment was too lenient. I get all of that, but still for CSS….Anyway, even if I didn’t know what was going to happen when he asked her if someone hurt her family and she couldn’t punish them by law and what if revenge meant hurting someone you love…i knew it was over right then. She even looked unsure when she said, when you put the choices together side by side, one will definitely be more important than the other. How many episodes do we have left? My heart can take it
Not to mention how my heart bleeds for the empress. It has to be so hard to be married to someone that’s married to someone else. Never having felt genuine love, just respect. Oh my heart hurt watching her watch them.
YS is so petty, I just want to smack him and his mama. They know she is marrying into the “royal family” how she gone care now because she saw him look at CSS. What! You haven’t cared his whole life. This is the most conversation we’ve seen from her the whole drama. Please go and have a seat ma’am. And his petty ass talking about I will get married before you and then to try and have his wedding the same day…smh. His character was poorly written. He is like the villain in this drama because we really haven’t seen a real villain, except the “bandits”. He makes me sick and I really don’t want to see him and SS engaged. I may have to stop watching the drama at that point. IJS!

I keep trying to give this drama a chance because I love watching the brothers. If it had just been about them and not their families, I would have been ok. MR's mom....I won't even go down that street, but also the brothers family. The mom, the aunts. A whole mess. I ff through a lot of this drama today and not really looking forward to tomorrows episode either.

I am really starting not to like this drama. I was all in at first, but it's like we've hit a brick wall. They're just pulling stuff out of their butts and we still have a whole second half not to mention the few episodes in this half. Man! The only saving grace of this episode was the ending.
Master Lee is the GOAT! Yul is still delusional. Naksu is finally figuring out who she shares a body with, but it's just moving way too slow. The queen showed her ass. CP is starting to see the light. How much longer do we have to wait for this web to start untangling and when will JU father reappear?

Is it just me or did todays episodes seem really short? Just me? Too much going on. I could not imagine being a part of a family like that, because it definitely does not have to be royalty to be petty and vindictive. As a nurse I've seen it more times than I can remember and the bigger the family the more petty and ruthless, especially when there is money involved. With that said, I feel sorry for LBY being a part of that mess. It's said that he joined the military to pay the emperor back for raising him, but I think it was an excuse to get away from all the mess. It's so funny to me how everyone is super petty and vengeful, but are quick to ask for mercy when they get caught doing wrong or they stupidly forgive people with the wrong intentions that come back to bite them in the ass later. I don't understand, I guess I'm not that forgiving. It's a good thing I was born in the era I was born in because a lot of people and their families would have been wiped out.

Then we have poor CSS caught in the middle just because she likes a boy. She asked for none of what has happened in her life, but at the same time you would think that with her being so witty and cunning, she would have a little more common sense and could read people better. Every time she tries to judge someones actions or their character, she is always wrong, except for LY. He was really sweet but he had no backbone. So here she is caught in the web of the palace and she's just trying to be her. She still hasn't realized that no one remains the same whether it's from marriage or just growing up. No adult has retained everything about themselves from childhood, good or bad. Harsh realities, experiences and lessons change everyone.

I had a feeling that the prosecutor was going to be a problem sooner or later. Never did like him. Now he knows his brother is involved, how is he going to hinder the case or is he going to do the right thing?

So, he won't feel anything because she doesn't have her powers?

And I feel like people know about Park Jin and Maidservant Kim, they just don't say anything, because HY definitely knows and JU.
