This is the part that gets me in dramas like this. You know there is a psychopath on the loose and y'all just chilling like she is not coming for JiWon. SMH I guess it makes for more "suspense" and helps make the episodes longer, lol. I'm here for it though. I just can't wait to see what happens to SuMin and if anything happens to YuRa.
Reading the comments has made me decide not to watch anymore until it ends. I haven't watched Ep 10 because of the comments. I don't want to be more disappointed than I already am. I'll wait until it's done airing. I agree wholeheartedly that Hee Soo's regenge is baseless and ridiculous. It think we all knew that he only sent her away to protect her when he took the throne. I know I did, I also knew that he was going to save her. I blame this whole female empowerment movement for all of the stupid plots we're getting for FL. Instead of well fleshed out plots that hold women in a better light, they are making us look even more weak and dare I say stupid and emotional. This drama is the worst representation of hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Her feelings were hurt because she had fallen in love with him. She even flashed back to the conversation she had with her father about the Grand Prince, but she apparently didn't believe it otherwise she would have trusted that he had a reason for everything he did. Also, with that, she is watching him be one step ahead of the ministers plotting against him and she still hasn't figured it out. Even Myung Ha realized the king was trying to protect her. And for her to recruit him, the one whose father killed the king and was trying to frame the Grand Prince was ridiculous. He knew his father was corrupt and she saw with her own eyes just how corrupt he was. I am so disappointed with this drama. It had so much potential to be one of my favorites in a while. It was giving me Red Sleeve or Under the Queens Umbrella vibes. Just me? Anyway, I guess I'm going to wait this one out so I'm not yelling at the screen.
I am late to the party. Only on episode 6, but I am so confused. I can usually pick up on stuff quickly. Idk if it's because the subtitles are crap, but I am so confused. If the FL doesn't want to be with her boyfriend, why tell him to marry her. I don't even understand that. You like ML, but are trying to marry SML or however that goes. Because the boyfriend is sort of the ML right now because she's with him. IDK! I'm gonna try to hang on because I usually like both actors, even though I've only seen both of them play sad characters. This apparently is no different. I feel like I'm watching one of those artistic Indie films with the music and the merry-go-round of these relationships. SMH
My personal opinion: It’s called shyness or being an introvert around the opposite sex. The girl is untouched…
We all have our own opinions and when I was speaking about America, I was speaking about what they put on television and in the movies. Children in the US are exposed to far more than most countries. That was my point. And if we're being honest, irl a lot of men are not looking for innocence, they are looking for the more experienced females. Maybe not to marry, but over here there are plenty of men that would ruin an innocent female for their own selfish pleasure. Plus, there is no such thing as a perfect man and I absolutely understand a man wanting someone that is still innocent but I've seen those characteristics acted out much better by better actresses. I don't, personally, care for her acting. So, I said what I said and that was my opinion, if you disagree that's fine, but opinions are usually rhetorical. They don't require a response.
This is my opinion so don't come over here with the hate comments. We're all entitled.
I was really disappointed with this drama. It was too awkward. Does that make sense? The stupid glances, the being right in each others faces talking, the open eye kisses. I didn't like the FL character. She was too breathy, the "sweet" moments seemed forced. It didn't look natural at all. I can't even put into words how her character irritated me. It wasn't all bad, but bad enough. Her best friend was a mess too. The man obviously likes her, but she is quick with the shut down. I would have been scared to approach her too. Like in ep 29 when he says I want to see you. She was like, you see me now. Like come on. That was too much. I would have given up if I were him, plus you're much younger than me, why am I subjecting myself to this when I'm a big star and can have whomever I want. IJS! 2ML definitely nice to look at. Could have picked a better 2FL. Don't get me wrong it was a sweet love story, but the older man younger girl, I don't see the appeal. It always feels a little creepy. It gives me pedo vibes. Hey! I'm from the US that is a big thing over here. Plus because we're exposed to way too much over here it was weird watching almost 30 year old men act shy...like what? I did however enjoy watching the ML. His voice is very soothing and His singing voice isn't bad either. The OST was really nice as well.
While, like everyone, I was hoping for a happy ending where everyone survived, I was not angry about this ending. Could some of the deaths have been avoided, of course, but this ending was so beautifully done I have absolutely no complaints. ML scene right before his death when he said I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise, I could see the pain in his eyes for having to break her heart. Oh my goodness. I loved this ending and I'm usually the first to talk about how stupid some of the endings in these dramas are. Absolutely gave it a 10. Best costume drama I've watched this year. The love story was well written. It was sweet and as heartwarming as they could make it for two warriors because that's what they were essentially. Sad it's over. ML and FL did a phenomenal job portraying their characters. They worked so harmoniously together and they looked good together. I hope this shuts up all of the Liu Yu Ning haters. He was amazing. Whoever cast him had great vision and insight. He did his thing.
Liu Yu Nin filming his final scene:https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4980401678060003… might be even more heartbreaking…
I could barely watch the first one, that was heartbreaking seeing him look so worn out and in pain. He looked like he had really been in battle. These actors dedication is on a whole other level, but the scene turned out amazing.
The guy portraying the SML is excellent at playing creepy evil guy behind a friendly face. Maybe he is in the…
🤔 Now that would be interesting. I'd thought that maybe it was someone on the police force because they knew about the witnesses and now the FL. Hmmmmm...
I'm about to change my rating for this one. All of the dramas I'm currently watching are disappointments. Why is it always some raggedy, traitorous person in the immortal realm? Y'all are immortals and y'all can't tell when somebody ain't right. Y'all live for thousands of years and still act like y'all know nothing, see nothing, and understand nothing. It's so annoying and they do all of this unnecessary stuff to let "fate" have its way but don't do anything to the bad guys that cause problems. They let them off with a warning like they won't come back and do it again. The Devil Queen or whatever she is out and inhabiting somebody else's body because they believed that she was still in prison and NOBODY went to check. Little traitor keeps going to the forbidden area and you don't find that suspicious. Like what? This is how they get away with 40 ep dramas. They drag stuff on and add unnecessary characters and conflict. If it were not for the sweetness of the FL and the ML, I would have dropped this drama too. SMH.
This episode almost made me stop watching this drama, lol. The sad part is they are dragging it out with only two episodes a week and we aren't even halfway through the drama yet. The plot had me intrigued, but it's turning into overused trope soup. Not just with the love triangle but with the whole I'm a handsome guy, how is he better than me mess? I can not stand that. To me, the SML isn't handsome at all, but to each his own. I don't like his character...at all. I can't wait to see what really happened 500 years ago, because if this drama follows the normal plot line, the crown prince was not a good person. He did something that caused the maid to almost die and the ML stepped in to save her. But, we shall see. The part I do like, but don't like at the same time...the foreshadowing. The police said that it's like someone is helping the culprit. I feel like whoever that old man is, used the serial killer to kill the girl the ML liked. He said every time he opened up to someone they would die a tragic death. Here we are, years later and he's falling for someone again and the serial killer just so happened to be at it again. It's only a 16-ep drama, they didn't have to add all this extra crap in the mix. The serial killer was enough. We didn't need the love triangle, the past lives, or whatever else they threw in here. It was so not necessary. They better not let her confusion, about the past and who the tarot reader was talking about, drag on. This needs to be resolved quickly.
Can I just say I do not like the FL. Whoever wrote this was just writing to be writing. It's too much. She is too much. Definitely a woman writer because no man would write so poorly. It's not even cute and if the writer was going for female empowerment they definitely went the wrong way, but I am absolutely positive there are some bitter women out there rooting for this foolishness, Highly disappointed.
Ok, so much to say. The premise of this drama is cool. The ML is FINE! but something is absolutely missing. First of all, I really dislike when story plots try to insult our intelligence. Dad said all of this is because of your (HRT) bad karma. Everyone around you will keep dying because you chose to love Do Ha (paraphrasing). That makes absolutely no sense because it was all his fault. They would have never been in this situation at all if he hadn't sent Do Ha to kill her people. Do Ha was just being the obedient son and while he was good at killing and winning wars, it doesn't seem like he liked it nor wanted to do it. So why dad keeps trying to push the blame onto HRT is ridiculous. He is the villain of this story and everything is his fault. He created the curse with his own mouth because he got stabbed by the only person who truly loved Do Ha. SMH! She heard him say all of that in her dream, yet she only hears that it's her fault and is ready to kill herself. WTW!! Please somebody make it make sense. She saw the whole scene play out. I had to vent that out. Yelling at the screen wasn't working anymore! I can't wait until dad is gone for real. Just hoping for a good ending, doesn't even have to be happy per se, but at least good, because a lot of these endings make me want to give up on the K-dramas and the C-dramas.
I'm watching these slowly. so I'm just reaching the middle of ep 19, but I had to come and express how much I love NYZ's face when he sees RRY. His facial expressions soften so much when he's around her. It makes him look like a little boy. It's so cute. OK, back to the drama. 🤭
OMG!! My heart has broken and healed all in the span of two episodes. Poor Princess. It was too much for me and then to end on such a cliffhanger was just rude and insensitive. 🤣🤣 I think I'll live though, lol
I can't even finish watching episode 9 even though I keep telling myself to relax and just watch, but it has to…
Who knew as soon as I made this post the real drama would begin....he warned her what would happen if his boys found out...smh I feel sorry for both of them. It is truly difficult to find someone who understands you on a whole other level from other people and they still care about you...and don't hold your past against you. Or at least they don't throw it in your face like most people would. Big sigh...
I can't even finish watching episode 9 even though I keep telling myself to relax and just watch, but it has to be said, Liu Yu Ning is one of my favorite actors. He got so much criticism after his role in The Long Ballad that I felt was unwarranted. He played the character as it was written and did what the directors told him to do. To me, he did it well. I understood his character in that drama. Here, he is so adorable and I am enjoying the chemistry he has with the female lead. They indeed look very good together. She is quite beautiful. Definitely enjoying this drama, that is until the issues begin as they have to in dramas that annoy most of us watching. However, we remain, lol. We're still in the early stages, the honeymoon phase, I'm just waiting for the ball to drop. Ok, I'm gonna go back and finish watching...
