I am not sure if it’s the acting or directing but I am not convinced that they are truly in love. For one, they rarely show the fl’s inner thoughts, as she almost always look composed and poised.
Is she deep down inside in love in the ml? Hard to tell.

As for the ml, he has been acting like a love-sick puppy. I am just disinterested in their story. But I am sure they will end up together because the plot demands it.

The acting wasn’t great tbh. The playfulness felt forced. I also didn’t really feel the chemistry

I am so disinterested in this drama and its characters, but I have to soldier on because I paid $5.99 for the express package. lol

I’m sure that the leads will get together at the end, but I am not buying this so called “love” story. I have a feeling that I’ll probably look at the upcoming lovey-dovey scenes with a bombastic side eye because I just don’t feel this love. I wasn’t even moved by their bed scene at ep 30, and I actually laughed when the ml said “I want to kill that adulterer” …the acting sometimes lol

A major deviation from the novel because he is no prude in the novel quite the contrary but, I understand why they made the change in the drama

ah fair enough, but you are missing out because ep 58 has a great scene which made the comments on Viki explode (lol). Also, the very last scene of the drama was great with the opening song playing in the background - simply beautiful. I couldn’t stop smiling while I watched them.

Good luck! I am rewatching my fave scenes from Love and Destiny, that drama has an EPIC love story! The best in my humble opinion.

this drama is a case of “how to win my girl in 10+ episodes” - it’s slow burn as the ml is chasing after the fl…barely any skinship, just a decent kiss so far, and a few hugs.
