Nice melo movie

The OST was one of the best I've heard. In other dramas, one or two songs might stand out, but I liked every, single song and the music really stood out, rather than being unnoticeable in the background.

The story started as a sweet love story with some stumbling blocks, and I liked it even as it was at that point. Park Bo Young and Choi Woo Shik are each adorable on their own and even better together. The casting of the child actors was on point, as the children really resembled their adult counterparts.

Then, the story went deeper into the characters' pasts and we got to see them work through some of the issues that had burdened them for years. Ko Gyeom's relationship with his brother, Jun, was the most poignant, especially that last scene of theirs when Ko Gyeom was drinking Jun's bottle of liquor left behind at the bar. Their interaction here was perfect. Right behind that was the realization Kim Mubee finally had about her father and, moreover, her mother.

The second couple's story, while fine, was not really needed. There were some life lessons and goals attained, but I think too much time was spent on their relationship. *Spoiler alert* - I was happy that the producers had them move on in the end, rather than trying to tie everyone's stories into happily ever after packages. This allowed the characters to develop and grow independently of one another.

Finally, Ko Gyeom's philosophy after wishing the years away that every moment he experiences makes his life last longer, so now he is going to live every moment to the fullest. This just had a satisfying feeling.

I'm in love with Yun-O

I liked this, because it let the viewer get to know the serial killer and his lover from a different point of view. I found myself hoping that the building would collapse on the lady cop, so they could continue their relationship and so it wouldn't have to be him that directly kills her friend.

Kim Young Kwang played the hell out of this role. Overall, this drama was brilliant, and I am left feeling connected to the main characters. I do wish it could have ended differently, as I really started to feel for Yun-O, even though he was a serial killer. The series made me see how alone and vulnerable he was and Sum was the one light in his life. At the very least, I would have wished to see them die together, both having finally found the one who understands them.

An amazing show! Must watch.

This has to be the very best film that I have ever seen. Everything was executed so well. From the acting to the music to the sets to the cinematography, it was pure art. I will be surprised if it doesn't sweep the awards shows this coming year.

I was intrigued from the very beginning when she first met with him in prison. Even starting with the intro, I could sense his lonliness and his deep sorrow and I began to feel for him.

I found myself completely pulled into their world and I empathized with all of the characters who had suffered. In fact, I cried my eyes out during the entire last episode.

Please do not let the synopsis throw you off. This is not some serial killer show. It's more about vengence and, above all, it is a love story. A beautiful love story of happiness, pain, and sacrifice. Definitely a MUST WATCH.

I loved season two.

Frankly, I'm baffled by some of the lower ratings. I think many of them have to do with the cliffhanger ending. I knew before watching that this would be sort of a part one, so I was not so disappointed.

Season one was mind blowing because it was a novel idea at the time. Season two had big shoes to fill. I liked that we start to see from the point of view of the characters who are not part of the games and I'm interested to learn more of their motives and backstories in season three, especially the North Korean defector.

The rock/paper/scissors/Russian Roulette segment was so impactful. Even more so when Gi Hun and the recruiter square up. I really didn't expect that outcome.

A couple of caveats here. When the Front man joins the game (not a spoiler, since it happens in the beginning), the fact that he's number 001 doesn't throw up any red flags to Gi Hun seems a bit unbelievable. Also, with so many top stars, there wasn't a lot of mystery about who would not be eliminated early on.

I think season three is going to totally blow us away. I hope it comes out by summer. Can't wait!

I love, love, love this drama.

I just finished watching it and I already want to watch it again. All the moments of struggle and love and loss, joy and despair were portrayed so thoughtfully. The acting was exemplary. I loved the message that all those around them helped them get through, especially when they had a huge personal loss.

And, while the story seems to be more focused on her and all her trials and joys, you realize in the end what an integral part he played, not only in her life, but in all of their lives. His love for her and for their children was so steady and pure.

I probably went through half a box of tissues while watching this. At the same time, I felt with them the sweet moments and the heartwarming moments. Needless to say, this drama touched me deeply and I know the story will stay with me for a very long time.

Can someone explain the last couple of minutes to me?

I'm confused about the ending, the very last minutes. Can anyone explain it to me?

I wrote this after episode 5 - I was intrigued from the very beginning and Jang Ki Yong played the hell out of that part. I couldn't help but feel for him more than the victim(s). I found myself hoping that he's not the serial killer, at least in the current life, and that he gets the girl and is able to receive love in the end.

I wrote this after episode 5. I was happy with the ending, but the very end was confusing, I almost felt like the film was cut off. They show them smiling at each other in the bookshop, then her at the hospital showing him things to help his memory, but at the end she breaks out crying. Did he actually die and the bookshop scene was his soul or just her memories or what?

I felt the ending was perfect

Lee Jung Jae played the hell out of this role. His facial expressions speak volumes.

There seems to be a lot of negativity regarding the finale of Squid Game. Personally, I felt it was perfect. I saw the Cate Blanchett scene as it was explained by the creator, that the greed and cruelty can never be completely eradicated. I do not have any desire to see an American version of the show, as it would only be redundant. If I had to change just one thing about the ending, I would remove some of the neat, little packages to wrap up each one's story. It was so impactful when Seong Gi Hun sacrificed himself for the baby and we saw him lying there with one of his iconic facial expressions. Maybe then just the demolition, the Front Man atoning by gifting the baby and the money to his brother and money to Gi Hun's daughter, plus the Cate Blanchett scene. Some of the other stories just watered down the impact.

A poignant story of love and betrayal

This was an excellent series. The focus was not so much on the details of the affair, but rather on the damage that an affair causes, to more than just the couple. There was so much raw emotion and angst portrayed. Lee Sun Kyun played his part flawlessly. I almost didn't watch this due to some negative reviews. I have, sadly, come to realize that there are those who rate a series on their personal feelings about the subject matter, rather than the value of the actual production. This drama was done beautifully and I know that it will stick with me for some time to come.

I found this drama intriguing

I'm not normally into political dramas, but this had a different feel. It hooked me in the first few minutes. It was interesting to watch the tactics used by all the high level forces to eliminate those who have political views that do not align with those of their countries.

Even early on, there were some intense happenings, like the bomb planted in the train seat, and the connection between her and [Mark] Paik Sanho (the agent protecting her) was palpable. He was a true badass.

I loved the chemistry between the leads, especially on his part. He had a way of interacting with her that just shouted his deep affection for her.

It was also refreshing to see actual actors portraying Americans rather than the talentless actors normally seen in kdramas.
