On Kingdom Season 2 Mar 17, 2020
This drama is unfinished. As of now, the pacing is extraordinary even for the few cracks in the screenwriting. I cannot wait for the finished product. It is better or up there with Korean and Japanese Horror Classics. Maybe I should not consider it horror as it is more political and contagious than I thought—my rating 9.31. Season 1 and 2 Combined, my rating is 9.23.

Title Battle Royale Spoiler
I have watched this film four times. The first time I watch it was back in January 2004. I have read the novel…
I want to clarify by "Actors are very believable" the screenwriting is tight, and yes, there are romantic tensions in the movie, but it is not the central feast. It is the government controlling society and what they deem not suitable. If you disobey, then you will have to answer to the government-controlled basically by the military. The novel does a masterful job of explaining an alternate universe the author created while it might have used another movie. I understand why they decided against it. The soundtrack was Class A.

Title Asphalt Man
Asphalt Man does not deserve 6.6, but I am not surprised many people have not seen this drama. It is the first drama I watched with Lee Byung Hun and the goddess of dramas RIP Choi Jin Shil. She was a fantastic actress and she is missed in South Korea. There are few excellent South Korean actresses now of the same caliber as her. What I like about this show it delves into the car industry, romantic tensions, competition of getting deals done, and those grueling moments that happen in dramas—the vibe and feel of the show scream middle to high budget for the time. I own this drama. It is awesome. I am biased, but I think it is genuinely a high drama that is outdated yet incredibly fun to watch. Actors and Actresses make the scenes memorable even if a little overdone. My rating is 8.55.
On Nirvana in Fire Mar 17, 2020
The drama is smartly edited and directed that it is nearly perfect. A few side characters bugged me, but it did not draw away from the exceptional screenplay. It was my first Chinese drama, and it was something beyond my expectations. I watched this drama in 2016 a year after it came out. One thing the Chinese have is a rich cultural history that they take advantage of in many dramas. My rating is 9.49. I have watched the drama again a little by little this past year.

Title Il Mare
Must You Say GoodBye? I understood the film's goal and end justice as it is a Romantic Film. I watched this in the year of January of 2004. I have seen this film too many times to count. My early exposure to the Korean Film Industry I witnessed a lot of hugging and no kissing, which was something I came to enjoy a lot. Throughout the years, I accepted kissing scenes, but films like Il Mare break the mold. Il Mare is a film that transcends time and space that made for classics of the future in the genre. Even though some people might disagree with me on the film, I do not care as you might not care with mine. The soundtrack is incredible. My rating is 8.51.

I have watched this film four times. The first time I watch it was back in January 2004. I have read the novel twice. One thing over the years, I have found annoying screenwriters and directors do not do a play by play of books on screen. They want to show their creative side or artistic side when adapting a novel to the big screen. I do not want to get in the nitty-gritty of book vs. movie, but each has its flaws, I think. My rating is 8.78, as you see, the actors are very believable.
On Crazy for You Mar 17, 2020
I watched this drama back in 2007. It was not nearly the rollercoaster ride of emotions as I remembered. I rewatched the drama again a couple of days ago, and it brought back some good memories. Koreans have a knack for making a simple story more interesting and engaging.
