This is one of the most enjoyable dramas this years loved it a lot! that said, the last 6 episodes were such a pain. was not a fan of how it was written (not the plot but more the way the plot was delivered)
I haven’t watched the other two dramas in this trilogy. does that affect my watch experience? and are both relevant or should i watch one more than the other?
This drama was such an enjoyable watch Lu Yu Xiao brought life to the FL and I just love her Hu Minghao was good too and they both matched each other's vibes perfectly! I also loved the styling of the drama from the hair styles to the accessories and the details of the robes they were wearing. It is like the team was topping themselves in bringing out the beauty of each actor/actress. Everyone looked extremely well styled Also the directing was really pleasing, the way the shots were taken was extremely pleasing to the eye. The fighting scenes were good too (but the battle scenes were honestly not that well written). But everything else flowed well and the story was engaging from start to end. My only comment would be some plot devices were introduced but werent utilized in the plot (and I would have loved to see them more utilized), and the battle scenes were not well written (as opposed to fighting to scenes or other scenes in the drama). But overall such a solid watch and I enjoyed the characters and the pacing a lot. never a dull moment. (also the sml scenes were engaging as well which is usually not the case. Yu Cheng En was a perfect fit).
According to the airing schedule, Prince Annan will regain his memory in episodes 29-30
that sucks... i dont know why they always drag things on like that. the halfway mark is already long enough. his original character is so much more interesting. even though the current plot is good, the original premise was waaay more interesting
I am just starting this. I love love love the darkness of his character the first bit of the first episode. Pleaaase tell me we are not gonna lose that throughout the drama?
i know we are not watching for the plot, but there is no way the emperor would ever marry his two greatest generals…
yeah I get it, but the emperor has already removed xu jing and there is no prominent powers in court, and the war is already won. so i dont believe in actual palace politics he would be cast aside that easily
i know we are not watching for the plot, but there is no way the emperor would ever marry his two greatest generals no matter how loyal they are. he would never punish mr chu for his advice based on “personal interest” cuz he raised a very good point and the emperor agreed with him. also he creates the counteracting balance the emperor needs in court. he is also smart and cunning. so the most he would have gotten was light punishment, especially since the war was already won. and the emperor would have done everything in his power to separate the main leads, and he wouldnt keep them close even if they r not married.
loved it a lot!
