You do realise that once the dream arc is over, we are getting angst, angst and even more angst till probably…
😂 😂 I tust that the cp will keep it interesting throughout. I remember in LLTG I was dreading the angst, but it was so well done I rlly enjoyed it I am expecting that here too, hopefully
The dream arc is everything I was glad this drama isnt, the naive female, the overly sadistic sfl who everyone…
If you compare it with the rest of the drama, it is actually pretty slow. The previous episode showed a lot more with a lot less episodes. For the dream arc, they are going into the tiniest details on how she looked at him, thought of him, how many minutes they are waiting for each other. They dont imply anything, just show u in the slowest scenes how everything is unfolding. Which painfully stands out when u compare it to the rest of the drama so far, especially when the characters arent half as interesting as the main cp
The dream arc is still not over!???? HOW LONG will it continue!????
The dream arc is everything I was glad this drama isnt, the naive female, the overly sadistic sfl who everyone just falls for her schemes, and endless misunderstandings. And they r prolonging it WAYYYYY too long, its too cliche, we can already tell the ending will be tragic, so let's just move on!!! I want the main couple back, they were sooooo much more fun, a LOT smarter (both of them) and their moments SO much better. I really hope the dream arc characters don't rub off the main leads charms, cause that would just make it another xianxia drama.
This drama was one of the best Wuxia dramas I have seen in recent years, the pace and unfolding of the plot was…
Exactly, especially when she felt like a secondary character and one-sided loveuntil her wedding competition when it was first hinted that Xiao Se liked her as well
This drama was one of the best Wuxia dramas I have seen in recent years, the pace and unfolding of the plot was extremely entertaining, and the fight scenes were really good!
The most well developed character has to be Lei Wujie! We have been with him from when he was a naive guy with too much passion, and throughout his martial arts journey, his personal relationships, and his standing as a martial artist
The most well-acted character has to be Wuxin. That actor is extremely extremely charismatic! The way he infused Wuxin with so much charisma and life made Wuxin the star of the moment whenever he appears!! He gave Wuxin the depth, wit, clamness, and liveliness that made the character super interesting
Xiao Se has to be my favorite character. He is extremely smart, calm, patient and has strong morality. Him being too afraid to hurt his friends so he continously leaves them out frustrates me sometimes, but he always falls back into them smoothly and appreciates them even more. I do hate that we never experienced his martial arts journey, which I think would have made the drama perfect for me! Cuz we always hear about him being a prodigy but no flashbacks of his previous fights. When he regained his powers, we only knew that he became the top-ranked on the Jade List but never seen him grow his energy. The final fight with the Lone Sword Deity made up for a lot, but I would have still loved to see as much martial arts scenes as Wujie and Wuxin, as we were teased about it so much. I also would have loved an actual showdown between Wuxin and Xiao Se before they saved him. But other than that, it was extremely satisfying
As for the female characters , I loved Rouyi very much, her story was laid out well and her scenes showed her importance and made me love her. But Sikong was not given her proper story. She is always shown as too temper headed and clingy, when she is so much more than that, towards the end they showed more sides of her, and I especially loved the scene in the imperial sword hall when she fought for 6 hours, I wished they gave her more scenes to develop her character and make us love her more, cuz she deserves that
All in all, it was extremely enjoyable, and I do hope they have a second season with new journeys, in court and martial world, and just as well balanced as it was in here
Who ordered the wrathful sword deity to assassinate xiao se? he denied it was xiao chong and it doesn't seem likely…
If I remember correctly, wasn't it the director of the eunuchs? He is the one who practiced the technique that crippled Xiao Se's martial arts. And so maybe it was Xiao Yu who ordered it? Not sure, but that's what I understood
Episode 51 was one hell of an episode. They shot the scenes so well, everything leading up to the massacre and the following scenes were so well written and executed. "If she is abandoned, she will never forgive" The way her mum payed for everything that she has done, the way Ling Buyui did. She made them all pay without doing anything at all, and in the end she stayed with the one person who stood by her all along. Everything was done so so beautifully
I am expecting that here too, hopefully

Final rating: 9.5/10
Not sure, but that's what I understood
Missed his dramas so bad
"If she is abandoned, she will never forgive"
