But when he returned, they had disolved the sect and he felt like he was a burden on everyone. He lost his will to live thinking that he caused his companions to die and his senior to die with his "arrogance". So he spent the rest of his days trying to find his senior's remains and just bury him next to his master. However, he then found out that his senior died in a different way than he thought. It's already too late. His poison has spread and caused too much damage, and he keeps using his internal energy which makes the poison work faster. He has already tried different ways to stop the poison by himself, but he couldnt. So now instead of "wasting time" on healing (since he doesn't have anything to live for), he just wants to avenge his senior and his sect.

Exactly! And many FL are just cool in the first few episodes, and then they fall in love and forget that they could live without relying on the ML. But LSS was always her own person. From the very start till the very end, she was always her own person and took her decisions as she sees fit.
IF you are not watching/finishing this drama cuz you think it has a bad ending, this is your sign to watch and judge for yourself. I found the ending beautifully made Also, this is not ur typical standard drama, so if you want something fresh and well made/acted you definitely should start this and take on the journey! It will be worth your while

I get that our hearts are yearning for TTJ, but LSS was a good character! She fell in line with her characterization well. She didnt just throw everything over and under for the love of her life. She resisted that love till the very end because she had her mission in front of her. When she thought she could give into her love while maintaining the peace, she gave in. I agree in the mortal relam, she did a lot of bad choices. But mind you, she was that sheltered naive girl given the mission to save the world! Since the moment she became LSS, every action of her was justified! And her eyes!!! They spoke volumess!! When she was YXW, her eyes were always reserved, either filled with lovey dovey cute love, or pure fear and hate (and mind you this is the first time I see a FL that fears the ML and not just drools over his handsomeness!). Because she was reminded time and time again of what he is capable of doing (cuz he is the DG and not just some hot villian?) And when she became LSS again, her eyes had so much volume. The pain of the past, the love she cant get over, and her stubbornness to fill her mission When she was marrying CJM, pure happiness (but also a mature one) filled her, she was over the moon. And since he returned back to being DG, her eyes never held the hate they had before. Only regret, sadness, longing, confusion. Even when she thought he had turned evil, her eyes never held that hate they had before. Not the motive she had. Thats why TTJ pushed her so hard in that last episode (that scene when he threw her to take the lightning on his behalf!!) because she just wasnt hating him enough to take the right action. I dont know how people are unable to see LSS love for TTJ. It was subtle but it carried volumes! She just wasnt the girl to put literally everyone's life below her lover. And that is admirable! She loved in her way, but she was never any less than TTJ, she just had bigger burdens.

How he literally was seconds away from sacrificing himself for them, and he put himself in danger and under their mercy just to reach them. and yet, they still see him as a thing so evil that is not worthy of their presence! He broke my heart in this scene. My heart was in little pieces

and, no one cares about Mo Nv at all! I wish she was the one that died and not Si Ying! I want Si Ying alive :'( she was such a loyal servant. And Mo Nv doesnt deserve to save the day. What has she ever done to anyone!? Didnt even try to protect or stand by her sister, and now she acts all emotional. Please, her character is so useless......

This drama has a plot - a good one too. Its not just some drama with chemistry between the leads. The characters are very interesting as well, especially the ML - one of my favourite cdrama characters in the past two years. The acting was well done, serving everything as it should. The costumes and sets are reallly beautiful as well. Its a visual feast. And all in all, it is a good drama to watch and follow, it has that "it" factor that keeps you hooked throughout. So I would definitely recommend watching it. Fight scenes were really good as well, and the story feeds into each other in a nice way (not your standard xianxia drama)

Yes! It was this time where her actions were so justified. I was always mad at her choices because TTJ would always be her last priority. But not this time! She is very justified with all what happened and it fits the flow of events to do this
