Three episodes in and i am hooked.

2 episodes ? CONGRATS ! "recovery"...that's a good one.
Many Republican era Cdramas watching at the same time such The Guardians, Deep Lurk, Man's Inhumanity to Man are all tearing me apart, etc.
Fortunately, I had a solace with The Vendeta of An to end this year.

My comment does mean that I don't find this story interesting otherwise I wouldn't spend my time watching each of its airing episode.
2 entire episodes as fillers, to my liking, are 2 too many for my intellect. I shall sound boring and I admit that I am too adult for that. Thks for your opinion that I respect.
Such as the new airing The Unclouded Soul that is taking the web by storm, I am still pondering why. I have to admit that people need intertainments as real life is hard to face at times.

I can watch only 1 episode a day. After each, I take a break to stomach the japs scenes. To the viewers who were able to watch more episodes a day...CONGRATS !

23rd and 24th episodes are the weakest of all....they are fillers.

Cheng Yi represents the Greek mythology Atlas. The real Titan whose emotions weight the whole World on his shoulders. Together with Tan Jian Ci, they have reshaped the acting of their generation. The standards are set higher. What a challenge for this generation and the ones to come. For the last weeks, Cdramaland is upside down with a new "revolution" in acting.

He is like my little brother I want to protect and together want to see him grow up.

To be honest, I don't see any bromance but friendship, non-blood related brotherhood, build up trust in progress. Should you be interested in bromance, you can check MDL where there is a long list of them.

A Republican era short drama covering Beijing opera. It is quite a daring challenge these actors-actresses have taken. I don't expect it to be at the level of Winter Begonia nonetheless I shall give a try. One never knows.

Oh my. Your english is excellent. There are going to be more twists so it is difficult to anticipate with the 3 remaining episodes...one never knows.

I watch each episode twice. First for this intelligent script and its rhythm. Second to embrace it all like watching the back of a maestro spreading his arms when conducting his orchestra. And I seat still in a field of diverse flowers which scents sing the Summer...i feel so good.

In this Cdrama, Cheng Yi is at the level of these veteran actors.
A rewatch story in the future for sure. It will linger in my mind for a while. And the ride isn't over yet with three more episodes to go. Twists after twists followed with another twist to twist other twists along the way. I've just unsaddled my horse that I have to "ma shang" right now get on my horse and gallop another ride. My head is spinning. This cast is devillish to its viewers. When was the last time my head kept on spinning non stop like that. Nirvana In fire ? Joy of Life ? Sword Snow Stride ? etc ... This story is flawless.

You expressed yourself with 2 phrases and both are wrongly phrased.

1. next time your write a comment be vigilant whom you address it to and if the subject is pertinent to the content of the commenter so you will not receive any backlash.

2. your apology is wrongly formulated. If you have the guts to criticize western countries at the same time claim yourself to be a westerner, you should be able to write a correct note of apology. And alas, you did not. So don't shame westerners with your arrogance.

3. the comment you had addressed to me was voluntarily aiming at me as you generalysed a situation without the support of sciences, evidences, ratios, theories, geographical statistics. but solely on a conspiracy theory you decided to write on the spur of your mood. "trust you ?" on what ground should I trust someone like you dropping from no where and totally unaware of my background, education, work/life experiences, linguistic and litterature knowledge, just because Eureka you've miraculously discovered chinese dramas only this last decade unaware that some westerners started decades before you. You are boasting having the perfect knoweldge of Chinese history before and after its cultural revolution, its complex geography, its intricate rivers, its million of natural disasters, its hundred of rural languages only from Cdramas ? You watch and idolize Jdramas the real people that plunder China during decades ! Cruelty cannot be measure be it from nazzi or japs. The number the means are no excuses it is cruauty against humanity against all living creature. Is it ignorance or are you siding with japs sitting on the fence ? Have you read Man is Made to Mourn by Robert Burns ? With a mind like yours this poem might be too complex for you to understand.

5. from what I've noticed, commenters on this thread are very polite towards you but it doesn't mean that you are entitled to insult them.

For someone which suspens Cdramas don't appeal, I was quite surprised to bare with this till the last episode. Very pleasant to watch indeed.

So why didn't you adress your comment directly to the viewers diminishing China, its culture and its population ? I am flabbergasted to be attacked directly. I am not responsible for other viewers POV. You have no idea how detrimental your comment is towards me.
