Episode 16 It, The Mask, could be ending here as it has just dropped. No problem. But, it looks like by the number of episodes, there should be some "reconcilation/emotional healing". Putting aside my sarcasm...that episode was quite a family crisis.
Each lady throwing tandrums and blaming each other. Actually, it was well acted. What a built up of negative emotions. How one can live with that for years ?
Was Wang Yi Nan bowing out from acting ? She reminds me of her last lines in The Story Of Ming Lan. This type of character must be stressing to act. I congratulate her for that. I still need her in a kind and happy role.

I had, 2 episodes back, decided to resume this series once entirely aired because of this pull and push to intricate love feelings. Reading your insightful comment encourages me to continu this journey.
Episode 8 I shall resume once the last episode airs. Reasons ? The addition of a scumbag family. The non-stop pull and push love/hate situation from both leads. This episode is a real disappointment due to the lack of skills from some supporting characters except veteran ladies.
This is a shame Tian Xi Wei is gifted. I shall miss her for the next weeks. And...and, I shall miss this thread of viewers.

Episode 4 The screenwriter is bullying the viewers with cliffhangers. For the next hours, speculations will take over this thread. Clichés : hidden tunnel in the library discovered by "Prince Charming" or by A Chou, A Chou saved by the "Prince Charming", A Chou sudden "apparition" with same hairpin, A Chou mimicking her doppleganger and stealing doppelganger's role then deceiving the aunties, Old madam Wei acknowledging A Chou and tossing the aunties (but that scenario is a little too early in the story), etc... at this point, who cares.
Tian Xi Wei is so focused in both roles and is still able to master her craft. Chifting from one script to another whatever the lapse of time in between both takes is quite amazing. She nails it.
This reminds me of the the 1975 movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the 2015 Kdrama Kill Me, Heal Me. Those are the one that stick to my memory.
