Script writer needed fillers to get to the 35th episode. And here I am today taken aback by this ridiculous 20th episode. Not surprised about the low rating. Preceptor Du is getting more evil at each of her scene. Nonsense is a too polite expression to express my thought. This should have being tagged as a "comedy", at least, at the start, my mind would have been set for that.

People with mild spectrum are easy going and without an ounce of aggressivity in their language and physical behaviors. However, the personality of Yu Yu demonstrates his incapacity to dialogue with compassion with the people around him, be it his family, friend and coworkers. He often contradicts himself with every of his sentence when verbally interacting with others. As viewers, it's an hilarious script. But is it really ?
Should one wants to decript the situations further, his wordings are similar to an arrow that have already left its arc. So, in real life, this is aggressiveness in his language compared to the light Cdrama we are watching. There is a hint in this story : he isn't able to keep someone's interest by the "sixth sentence". Border line is also part of Yu Yu's personality. This can be cure with lots of effort.
People with critical spectrum can have aggressive reactions to protect themself in some uncontrollable situations to them. Some of my students could reach the level of aggressivity by slapping, pushing or verbally insulting others. It is as if they get into tandrums. There are methods to appease them. It is a real challenge and very rewarding on the long range once I witness even a lil tiny change in their behaviors.

Yes I call this mild as I invested years of my life with people with high level of spectrum syndrom. This character doesn't have an ounce of aggressivity compared to heavy cases. He has the turtle instinct in his own way in order to protect himself. He withdraws whenever he faces contradictions reversely, he dares confronting when he feels no threat. I find his script very well written and well acted. The writer did his/her research.
You're lucky to have the time to read the novel. I'm a difficult Wuxia, Xianxia Cdrama lover to satisfy. This is the reason why my "Sweet" short comment as I was put off the first 15 minutes of the 1st episode. Obviously, this one is not for me.

I wonder if this Cdrama was put on the back burner for too long. At times the visual, the brightness of the rooms, the back ground music together with ackwards sudden lightings and classic wardrobe give me the impression of an old shooting.
The leads' agressiveness is so palpable. This first episode was a fast pace. It seems that the script writer wants to get to the point as it's only a 35 episodes story which I don't mind, for, there won't be too many fillers. Let's see what happend one year earlier.
I'm at episode 27 and they talk about A Shui this and A Shui that. Can't they stop talking and get to the point. This isn't a love story for god sake. Too much fillers for nothing important. A shame it takes away the purpose of the story. I want to see at least a corner of the coffin and the Liu Yan being scolded for his naughty behavior. I shall miss his hilarious naughtyness. I don't want him neither our diva Li Ci to die.
At last at episode 34, Cheng Yi is giving me the vibe I was waiting for since the 1st episode. Same devotion in his the 2022 drama The Imperial Age. The aloof reversevly loving Fu Gui blinding me with an aloof devilish personality. 2 personas in 1 what a gift I won't refuse. What a complex role he is embracing and he is craving my screen with.
