Could anyone please tell me where I should read the novel?
I want to see the differences in the story, also the ending (lol).
Also, most of the novel links in the discussion tab are not working.

[UPDATE] Stuck at episode 38 — I guess I’m not ready for the ending. There’s a lot of "heaviness" and "sadness" in me as it gets closer to the finale. Maybe I just can’t let go of their story and keep wishing for a “better” ending. I really hope they stop cutting down episodes! I wouldn’t mind more episodes or even a season 2, as long as we get to see more of their journey.

Also, this drama leans more toward political romance rather than pure Wuxia. Of course, Wuxia plays an important role as the background, but the focus is political (which I love). Still, it would have been great if it had more episodes.🤧

The drama itself has SO MUCH potential for more political and Wuxia stories. There are 2 episodes left, but I don’t think I’ll feel satisfied with the ending (considering how complicated the politics and war are, I can’t believe they’ll resolve everything in just 2 episodes). They could have added more explanations about the background stories — and their struggles deserve a fair ending.

Another set of questions for myself (which I’ll answer after finishing episode 40):

"Do you think it’s a fair ending?"
"What is the purpose of the ending?"
"Do you think it’s a happy ending?"

Many viewers suggest stopping at episode 38, since the ending is said to be “bittersweet” or an “open ending.” But a lot of people also say it’s a “happy ending.” I already know the spoiler, but I’ll still share my thoughts on the ending!😅

Omg, I just rewatched this drama after postponing it for 3 years (because I got spoiled about the ending). I forgot a huge part of the story, but I remember hating ML’s parents (especially his father)—and damn, after rewatching, I didn’t realize I HATED HIM THIS MUCH, LIKE WTF?! 😭🤡

Haven’t finished rewatching the whole drama yet, but ISTG I can’t stand this stupid, evil king anymore.🤬😭😬

[Update] DAMN, I don’t know that I HATE ML’s father THIS MUCH. I did remember hating him but not THIS MUCH—omg….🤡😬🤬😡😭

ML’s father is beyond evil and I just don’t understand why this kind of father exists. ML is too kind for an ungrateful evil greedy stupid father like him.

[UPDATE] Rewatching this drama, currently on episode 26. As expected, I forgot most of the story, so it’s really fun to watch again. Although I don’t remember many of the details, I still remember the big ending spoiler from 3 years ago, lol.🤧 I also remember how much I hate ML's family (especially his parents). But even so, I still want to finish the drama —I really love the plot and FL ML chemistry. Also, all of the actors and actresses nailed their characters!

The next question for myself: "Do you think it's an ending that they deserve? After all of the struggles?" --> will answer it later when I finish the drama lol...😂

I watched several of his dramas, and he nailed all of the roles — he’s an amazing actor. My personal favorites from his works are Glory of Special Forces, The Immortal Ascension, You Are My Glory, and Who Rules the World. Although I’m not part of his fandom, I understand how he gained his fame. He deserves it, and I can’t wait to see more of his dramas.

I used to watch her dramas, and I like the way she act. I hope she can make her comeback soon.

Hi! It’s mostly a light drama. Both the FL and ML have kind natures. There are misunderstandings, but I didn’t see them as a problem since they were caused by other characters. I also don’t think they’re huge, because both FL and ML really love each other. It feels more like a stepping stone to strengthen their relationship. Most of the problems here were caused by side characters, but I love how the drama shows that everyone has flaws, that people are always learning, and that it’s hard to change someone’s attitude (though it doesn’t mean people can’t change for the better).

After their official girlfriend-boyfriend relationship starts, there’s no breakup for the FL and ML. Their romance stays very healthy: they support each other, they’re the kind of couple who strive for the best, and they never give up on each other’s dreams. Every time they face a problem, they’re there for one another—comforting each other and solving it together.

I went to the comment section to see people's reviews on her acting, but ended up seeing so much spam about her age, which actually IDC about her being born in which year lol. It's okay to give information or comment, but spamming makes me so annoyed.😬 Anyway, I will watch one of her dramas with Anyu (since I'm so invested in TFWY, where Zuer & Anyu paired as a couple). I will be back to give my honest review of her acting as someone who sees her acting for the first time~😮

I'm going to watch this drama after finishing "To Fly With You" (I really like Zuer and Wang Anyu's chemistry). So excited for this one, since Wang Anyu did so well in TFWY. I saw some clips on TikTok (about "Be Passionately in Love") that made me somewhat excited, but after seeing some reviews, I'm somewhat scared to start it...😂
I realized that many people are discussing the red flag FL, how this drama is supposed to be romantic, but since the FL has a no-kissing policy, it ruined the drama, etc.
From the previous drama of Anyu (TFWY), they have several kiss scenes (although it's not a steamy one, considering their age/ background), but they have a really good chemistry and lots lots lots of cute scenes (no cringe at all, it was soooo cute).
So, after combining those factors:
1) (Li Hao Cun) FL's rule for no kissing scene
2) Wang Anyu's chemistry and romantic scenes in past drama
I will start this drama with a mindset of "cute romance scenes with no kissing scene" lol-I will come back to my comment after watching several episodes and give my thoughts about it!😆

[UPDATE] Finished watching this drama — super fun, I loved it so much! I love how natural the FL and ML’s relationship is in this drama; their chemistry is insane. Probably one of the cutest couples I’ve ever seen in C-dramaland. It would be nice if Song Zuer and Wang Anyu could collaborate in another drama. I’ll really miss this type of drama that’s chill, simple, natural, youthful, sporty, and shows what a healthy romantic relationship should look like. Both FL and ML are like a green forest.

Friends, family, romance, school, sports — I loved every aspect of this drama.

------ personal hate for the Xiao siblings (but I bet many viewers hate them too)-------
The only thing I hate about this drama is the Xiao siblings, lol. I’ll never forgive them (no matter how much they apologize or whatever). I just don’t like the fact that they never really got the bad karma they deserved.

I watched this drama 3 years ago, I was on episode 34 at that time, got spoiled by the ending (I think I can't accept the ending at that time lol), and kinda of postponed watching it. Now I forgot most of the story and decided to rewatch it (since I remember I was invested in this drama back then). 😭🤣

Everything in this drama is soooo cute, especially FL and ML. The only thing that makes me want to punch my laptop screen so bad is the Xiao Siblings...XIAO HAN AND XIAO QING ARE THE WORST SIBLINGS EVER. I WANT TO SLAP THEM SO BAD! ARGGGGHHHHHHH

My first Yu Meng Long drama was this one... rest in peace, you did well, and people will remember your amazing work.

It's been a long time since I've put this drama on my watch list, and finally, I get to watch this drama in 2025. This drama is like a gem...every moral story of this drama is so good and the fact that they have no boring episode makes it such an amazing drama. Every cast and production team did so well, which shows why this drama will remain in viewers' hearts. If you ever find this comment and haven't watched it yet, go watch it. It's worth your time.

Also, all the cast nailed their acting. I also want to praise YangYang as Yan Po Yue. His big name as a Chinese actor is not only because of his visuals, but also because his acting is truly spectacular. He shows that Yan Po Yue is not a perfect character, it's a character with flaws, but both he and viewers can learn from every one of his journeys in the military. He is one of the best Chinese actors out there. Yan Po Ye is one of his best works.

I wonder if they could make a spin-off or a season two of this drama... 45 episodes is too short. I want more of their story, their journey.

The first 6 episodes were AMAZING. Personally, the story was great. The idea of double identities, political warfare, war, romance between two strong generals, superpower, cute relationship, comedy, angst, etc, was great. They did one of the best openings for ML (especially when he first received the jade power). I have seen 2 or 3 of Chenglei's dramas, and I didn't expect his JinAn character to be this funny. This is my first Song Yi drama, and SHE IS SO PRETTY. She did well with her acting. Their fighting scenes + their OST = amaaaziiinnggg. Liu Yuning's voice suits the fighting scenes so well. What makes this drama interesting is a unique romance in which FL fell in love with a mysterious man. I love the fact that FL is a strong general, and her house is filled with strong women.

If I can criticize, it kinda gets boring from episode 7-10 (some scenes are slow and unnecessary) BUT, it gets spiced up later on. Also, sometimes I find ML FL romance scenes cringe in early episodes *just my opinion, pls don't hate me*. I feel like their romantic relationship kinda of grew so fast... It just didn't go along with my logic at that part (considering ML is basically a stranger and FL was described as a strong/fierce general, which logically she won't put her alert down for ML as she has to prioritize her nation/military secrets). I feel like the problem was not in Song Yi's acting but how the scriptwriter wrote her character. The writer wants to build a romantic relationship between FL and ML, but some part was rushed (imo, especially in the early episodes/first half), and kinda break FL's character as the fierce female general.
