Certainly worth the high ratings!
I began to binge watch this series at the perfect moment; Thunderstorm outside the dark, cold and gloomy atmosphere made a 10/10 first episode even more enjoyable.
It gave me the sense that this was going to be a horror show that just happened to revolve around gay men, it's not though, it is instead a beautifully told love story that knows no gender or sexuality and so strong that it can't be stopped, not by curses, Vengeful spirits or even death, with a little horror here and there just for funsies and a gorgeous cast for good measure. Though I did want more horror I can't complain about a story this good.
I got fully invested in the past lives connections, the mystery of the curse attached to Khem. How stunning the ladies were in their past lives, the adorable little boys, again the entire cast is so gorgeous. I have to applaud especially how well the casting of the younger versions of Khem, the shaman and Phrim was it's flawless totally believable.
Ramphueng is a perfectly written Villain, she's the kind of villain so awful, so ruthless yet you get where they're coming from and could easily root for them. Her curse is so petty so harsh and unfair, however, her back story is heartbreaking and just as unfair as the curse was. I wasn't expecting it to be this good, but for me this one is a 10/10 beginning to end.
