I think I'd like to mention that in the same way that not every OffGun drama is going to be a Not Me. Not every JimmySea production is going to be a Last Twilight, and that's okay. The show can still be enjoyable and stand on its own. Not every series can be a Last Twilight.
I am not a fan of jimmy so i never tried his drama even though i do like sea. I do wanna try this drama. Is it…
It's a good watch, but I think some people need to adjust their expectations. It's romantic, it's comedic, and it's dramatic. The crime aspect comes second.
If you can accept that, it's a very fun and fulfilling series imo. The showrunners and JimmySea put the work in.
Honestly, so many series completely fumble the ending by just flashing forward with tiny updates. This was a nice change of pace. I found that they followed the book's formula nicely here by visiting Mae Hong Son again and In and Thap having their intimate exchange there.
I find that GMMTV made a lot of worthwhile changes from the novel, using it as a good baseline. I appreciate that they actually got engaged in the show as opposed to feeling like wedding planning was too much of a hassle.
I appreciate that the director/writers chose to focus so much on mental well being and healing while still keeping the show lighthearted enough to find comfort in. In found healing from his parent's death, Thap reconciled with his father.
Lastly I'm so happy that they cast Jimmy and Sea in these roles. We got to see lighthearted goofiness with Vice Versa, and we got to see a serious mature relationship with Last Twilight, and here it's almost like we got a small blend of both. And who better to portray it than these two? A CP famous for taking such good care of each other.
The show isn't without its flaws, but the enjoyability of it is a 10/10 for me regardless of those flaws. I'll be watching this over and over again for a long time I think.
I haven't finished the episode yet, but I remember some hater 𤔠talking about how annoying it was to focus on Moira and how it was useless and bad story telling. I'm just laughing now because the rest of us knew this was coming, surely.
Diverges from the book, but I appreciate how this version of Thap is so dead set on what he wants, and making sure In knows just what's on his mind. I appreciate the showrunners so damn much.
The fact that there were 2 deaths in one episode I think was the bigger surprise rather than who died.
I don't cry very easy at all, but I did cry today. Unrelated, I lost someone last year that changed the way I saw grief, and watching everyone grieving hit me so hard. Apo and Victor's mother did an amazing job. I'm heartbroken for them.
Survivor's guilt is a wicked beast. Even though Tanwa tried, he's probably going to be feeling this for years to come.
You started at the peak, not that there aren't good queer dramas out there, but most aren't like this. Also I…
Last Twilight on YT is a wonderful watch. My 12% is sweet and emotional (IQ) A lot of people really like A Tale of 1000 Stars (viki) The Eighth Sense (viki) Semantic error (viki)

I'm trying to trust the process atp
I'm hoping he's at Trin's primarily because he's feeling shaken from the day rather than having romantic intentions.

They all have a little more maturity going on.
