Title Eternal Love
Could u please tell me who is the most similar male character like Ye Hua???? Extremely cold man (in 10 miles…
Honestly, I haven't come across a character quite like Ye Hua. One of the reasons I liked this drama so much was because Mark Chao fleshed out his character so well. He set the bar so high that it's difficult to really find another character like him in any other drama. I think the closest I've seen is Dong Hua from Eternal Love of Dream. It's set in the same place, but it's a spin-off, so you can check that one out if you haven't already. Otherwise, Ashes of Love is also pretty good.

I've heard so many great things about this show and I'm someone who doesn't have any expectations before starting…
I have not seen The Untamed but I have seen Ashes of Love, but basically if you liked Ashes then chances are you'll love TMOPB. In fact, there are a lot of people who like TMOPB over Ashes despite the similarities.
I highly recommend getting into this if you haven't already. If it helps, it takes about 8 episodes to get from the first arc to the next arc, and the second arc is considered to be the most important.

Just one question: How strong is the female lead in this? Is she really capable? Currently watching Legend of…
If by strong you mean independent, able to easily beat immortals (of less cultivation) up, in a powerful position, and a gets-what-she-wants kind of character, then yes she is strong. Someone mentioned that she is weak in the mortal realm arc and to skip it, but I personally believe that the majority of the emotional effect that the drama had on people came from that arc, so I highly recommend not skipping it.

I've seen about 35 episodes and I can honestly say that it's been pretty good so far. I'll be shelving this away for the time being though, but to anyone hesitating to start watching this, if you're at all a fan of Chinese fantasy dramas or of TMOPB, then this is a definite must-watch. I'm sure a lot of people have mentioned this already but if you are coming from TMOPB, don't expect it to be a direct continuation of the main characters' story from that drama. Their story in Eternal Love of Dream is quite different from their story in TMOPB, although there are a few similarities. Also, I found that this drama didn't have the same emotional effect on me as TMOPB did but it was refreshing.
Overall, I enjoyed this drama. 8.9/10 (up to episode 35).

I'm about to rewatch. I've seen countless Chinese and Korean dramas and none of them compared to this. At least, in the fantasy romance genre. I keep replaying the beautiful OST even a year after I'd first seen this. I'm committed to rewatching this at least once a year, I don't think I'll be able to go without it!

Xufeng is the most inept and useless male lead I've ever known. I'm watching episode 55 and I can't believe people…
Could. Not. Agree. MORE.

Would you choose Xu Feng or Run Yu? It depends on your personal definition of love.- Xu Feng felt entitled to…
RY. He treated her a lot better in the beginning imo. And idk why but I prefer their chemistry more than if she was with XF. XF was just downright an annoying character. I have no idea why I feel that way about XF and I actually wanted to like him since he was the lead and all, but idk.

Each one of us have different feeling and reaction to how a character resonate to us. They all did a wrist grabbing....it…
Now that I think about it, after all of the dramas I've seen, the wrist grabbing has become a little less annoying. I think one of the main reasons I was so put off by it was because it was on top of XF's entitled attitude.
Also, I'm not sure about what you said that he would have stopped chasing after her if she clearly told him no. I don't think JM, with regards to her character, would even be capable of telling him no if the majority of the time she was trying to figure out her feelings about the whole thing (cuz of the seed her mother placed in her). Plus the annoying extent of his chasing after her in the human realm, then at the wedding, and when they slept together...

Okay, just finished. It's always been hard for me to get into these kinds of politics-heavy dramas and I ended up skipping a lot. I'm giving this an 8.5/10, just because I loved the characters so much, and I did love a lot of scenes. Watch this if you're a fan of politics-driven plots!

So far I've seen her in Love and Destiny and The Advisors Alliance. She was outstanding in both! I look forward to her future projects.

I scrolled down to read non-spoiler comments but unfortunately I see a lot of things being said about Bidam, who's my favourite character at the moment. I'm on ep 26, is it worth watching this all the way? I'm already sooo bummed about Cheonmyoung!

My 3rd try on this drama and it's still so boring I'm trying cause I love Ni Ni and the ratings are high I'll…
I agree with the first arc being a bit boring. Nothing too major really happens until you're in ep 20+, and then you'll have to watch up until ep 49-50 to get the kind of badassery I was expecting from it. Overall enjoyable drama though. Worth watching.

To be really honest, there had never been any show I'd watched before where I had an extremely huge dislike for the main lead. I'm talking about Xufeng here. It may be because it was my first Chinese/Asian drama but I never liked the way he behaved around Jinmi (I hate wrist grabs). I never liked how he couldn't go against his mother at times when he needed to. I never liked the way he presented himself as if he was entitled to everything, even to Jinmi.
I don't like at all how Xufeng's character was written.
For the rest of the characters I had no problem with. The plot, up to where I reached, was fantastic (I stopped watching at ep 51 though). I wonder if it's the actor that didn't really set well with me. I've seen Deng Lun in other dramas, like Ode to Joy and Princess Agents and he was pretty great in those dramas. But in AOL... I think it could've been better.
Either way, I've given this a 7.5. Really an enjoyable watch if you're not like me and just straight up hate characters like Xufeng lol

Can somebody tell me how prominent the love triangle tag is? Also is it two guys and the female lead or two women?
There are a lot of characters who like the main leads, but for the major part of it, it's 2 main male characters pining after the main female character. I'd say the love triangle is more prominent in the second half of the drama, the first half really just focusing on the development of the relationship between the main couple.

I waited to binge the entire thing as soon as the English subs were all completed (thanks to Viki volunteer subbers). Imo, this was a beautiful drama. I wouldn't say it topped TMOPB for me but it was a very enjoyable watch.
Also, I can't believe I haven't watched any of Ni Ni's works. Will definitely be looking out for her future projects.
Overall, solid 9/10.
