Hey maybe I am dumb but I am on Ep 24 but what is the relationship of Xiao Shu and Xiao Jingyan? Are they blood…
Lol I get how that can confuse people. If I remember correctly, Xio Shu and Xiao Jingyan are cousins. Xiao Shu is related to him on his mother's side. Prince Qi and Prince Jing are half brothers, their father is the Emperor. As for Nihuang, she's the Emperor's daughter. We don't know who her mother is (I assume she's a concubine/consort) and we're never introduced to her. Also, Nihuang and Lin Shu are cousins.
Subs on kissasian are decent of course it does not compare to viki
Viki is a legal streaming service, unlike kissasian which is illegal (you can unknowingly download viruses on sites like these). You get a few ads on viki if you watch for free but the membership allows you to access a larger library and eliminates the ads. You can watch The Untamed for free there btw.
Just finished it, what an awesome series! Haven't seen that kind of character development in a protagonist since The Story of Minglan! 9.5/10 highly recommended.
Please recommend some dramas like this one. I'm loving it so far!
Empress Ki, or Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan. Both have a lot of concubine scheming going on. Empress Ki has more action though, and LOCZH is more focused on palace life.
If you consider all antagonists to die in the end as a happy ending, then yes. But if you don't consider the death of one or two significant characters to be a happy ending, then no it isn't happy in that respect.
This is also the best for me. How is NIF2? I want to watch it but I am afraid I will be disappointed...
It was great, especially the lead actor. His acting skills was far from what I expected for his character. And idk what it was but even though NIF1 was the better season, NIF2 was relatable in a way. I think it was because of the family and romance themes.
The fact that I've actually finished 51 hours of episodes and was fully invested in this entire drama says that this is probably the best Korean drama I've seen, and there are quite a few popular K-dramas that have episodes that are far less and didn't hold me past the first 6-9 eps. I'll give this a 9/10. It wasn't perfect, I can say that, but it is definitely a drama that will be remembered. The acting in this was just amazing (I understood why everyone was the way they were and what they later turned out to be, especially the Emperor), and I never got bored since the plot just ran from one conflict to another that it didn't leave you time to be bored. Highly recommended, just make sure you have enough tissues with you the entire time! If anyone is looking for a similar drama, the first that comes to mind, especially if you don't mind long dramas, there's one called Queen Seon Duk. It's historical, features a strong female protagonist and includes a love triangle (although I wouldn't say it's nearly as prominent as in EK). Also begins with the main character cross dressing as a man, and later becoming an important woman in history.
Overall great drama! I loved how the show focused on the strength of women in the workplace. Initially dove into this for the romance but honestly could have done without the main couple (despite how much I loved the other 2 romance sub-plots). It was like a complicated (which really didn't have to be) side story that didn't quite fit in the scheme of things. Other than that, it was very entertaining. 9/10
