I enjoyed this very much especially the first 20 episodes, my only complaint was I went into this expecting a dark romance but they only appeared to be a dark romance in the first few episodes, they're actually pretty wholesome and cute which I still really enjoyed, their love story was beautiful, cinematography was beautiful, ML and FL were both likeable which is getting harder and harder for me to find in dramas of recent years so was happy about that, and I loved the ending, sorry guys but I am with the Chinese, I love tragic endings where lovers die together.

Although the villian in this became so ridiculous, I couldn't stop laughing at him, he was already crazy enough and they started putting him in gowns and make up lmao I don't get why they did that but whatever he was crazy anyway.

Yea I hate feminine guys too, wouldn't watch stuff that has them, ML was pretty masculine, maybe the op is talking just about his appearance? but his character was fairly masculine, he was badass, calm and stoic while also being kindhearted, I don't see what was feminine about his character. I find it hard these days to find proper masculine ML and proper feminine FL so I avoid watching most new dramas, haven't really watched many new ones after 2020 because of this, so I wouldn't have watched this if ML was feminine. Also I think the op skipped some episodes, they had many romantic scenes, also China are king of tragic romances, they love lovers dying together and so do I.

I would have rated this higher had FL not been insanely overpowered and perfect, this stuff is ruining dramas like it ruined western shows, the only difference is her character at least was still likable but it was just ridiculous and kept getting worse and worse and then the last episode when she got even more powerful yet again and defeated the villian that only the Dragon Lord was meant to be able to defeat but of course he couldn't do it, she needed to lol which is the running theme, what couldn't the FL do in this? nothing apparently, she was amazing and mastered everything she did, eh, such a big turn off.

Yes but I don't think she was a great wife either, she had as much to learn as him, SJ started all the misunderstandings in the first place by listening to TH and avoiding MY and then in turn MY started listening to TH telling him that she was avoiding him, TH is really to blame for everything that went wrong in the dream 100%, she is absolutely vile, but I feel both SJ and MY are equally to blame for the lack of communication and misunderstandings, in fact MY did try to talk to SJ and sort everything out twice, the first time she took off back to the river after avoiding him, and second time war started so he had to leave for battle but he did try initially, and then SJ finally decides to sort stuff out when she gets served with the divorce but at that point MY thinks he is going to die so he lies, it's just all a big mess of sadness.

Sadly though in reponse, rather than just getting revenge on TH and the generals that did it, SJ ends up killing 10000s of innocent people too and stops her clan from being revived which went way too far that it was hard to be on her side at that point.

Didn't she say she forgave him? when they're coming out of the dream and Yi Xiwu stops MY from devlizing, SJ and MY souls or essence or whatever it is met for a moment and he says he didn't protect her and she says she forgives him, that's the closest thing we got but I think it counts.

I do find the dream arc tragic, for both MY and SJ and obviously her clan being killed and her pain is justified and her revenge against TH was justified too but I always think she went way too far to the point I couldn't be on her side, not only her saying horrible things to MY and blaming him for everything despite the fact it was all TH, but she killed 10000s or more of innocent people that had nothing to do with what happened and when she crushed the thing containing the essence of her clan and stops them all from being revived in the future, it just made me not be able to be on her side, and it just makes me feel saddest for MY the most by the end of the dream.

I think the problem with TH is that she felt she was too worthy of love lol. I just can't have sympathy for either of them, they're just too vile and got exactly what they deserve.

I still am thinking about nothing but this drama ❤️ I wish I was watching it with you guys but I have already watched it 4 times in the past 2 months so I feel I shouldn't, and I bribed my sister who doesn't watch dramas, to watch it with me in June so I just gotta hold out till then.

I actualy felt most sorry for Ming Ye in the dream by the end of it, yea he was absent a lot but he was always thinking of someone else in what he was doing, and he did atempt to talk to San Ju and sort it out on 2 different occasions but both times something happened, one time a war broke out and the other San Ju took off home avoiding him, so poor guy didn't know what to think, obviously felt so sad for San Ju about her clan and she deserved to take revenge on TH but I feel she went way too far, she killed thousands if not more of innocent people and she crushed her clan that could have been revived and blamed everything on Ming Ye despite it being TH's fault, ugh I don't know the misinderstandings in the dream were so frustrating lol, like why is everyone believing evil TH???? I really liked San Ju but I feel she went too far so I just felt Ming Ye was the most pitiful by the end. I wish he acted more on his feelings too but I think the point of it is that it's meant to be a missed out on love so that's why they didn't ever get to really acknowledge each others love and why we weren't given much happy scenes of them.

This! actually my favourite OST ever too, this drama is just too good for this world honestly.

I actually would recommend people not to watch this drama!😂there is no going back after watching it lol, I don't even mind the fact I can't move on from it, in fact I quite welcome that because who wants to move on from this? but I sincerely feel like this drama has ruined everything else for me, all my other favourite shows and movies just pale in comparison to this.........basically everything else seems crap now lol. I keep trying to watch other stuff and all I keep thinking is how much better this is.
So only watch this drama if you want all your favourite things to suck in comparison 😂

You're definitely not alone! I watched this 4 times in 6 weeks lol. I think the ending is sad with a happy future so it's easier for me to re-watch, and i love it so much!

I just remembered the DG exists, I feel like that outfit and look beats everyone else lol.

My favourite outfit is between 3! I love Yi Xiwu's green outfit in the first episode and her pink outfit from episode 9, love those 2 they remained being my favourite for the series, on TTJ I actually love his green outfit that she buys for him in episode 6 or 7. Honestly though all the outfits in this drama were amazing.

Yes TTJ definitely wins this one! the development and complexity to his character is amazing honestly, pitifully abused and unloved his whole life, brutally betrayed by eveyone and suffers over and over again while being destined to become the DG and kill tons of people, and yet somehow he still manages to be the purest character in this drama, and becomes so mentally strong that he becomes the only person to overpower the DG. I actually love his character so much, and his facial expression are some of the best I've seen, I actually feel like I seen a whole type of acting I didn't even know existed after watching him.
