I actually feel like I despise Di Mian the most, even though I hate BC and TH, they were so evil but Di Mian is literally the one who caused all the tragedy to go down at the end, he literally robbed TJ of his happy ending, actual scumbag! lol.

I can imagine how fast it was sold out! I'm beyond grateful I didn't want it when it was airing, I wouldn't have been able to make it through waiting each week lol.

I'm actually working on another video of them now and I feel I've outdone myself with the angst in this one lol I wanting to get in their full story, I'm actually on the verge of tears making it lol the amount of tragic scenes and dialogue in this drama is devasting but at the same time I live for it.

I definitely say it is bordering a happy ending and a sad ending, everything in this drama was beyond tragic for the ML, but the ending implies he will be reunited with his family soon, so bittersweet, he's cultivating in the shell she is holding so I don't see the deal with the ending, it just happens off screen. Writers really should have filmed it though to satisfy people, but Chinese dramas can have some of the worst endings ever so all in all I have nothing to complain about with the ending considering some I've seen.

Still not over this drama, I've ordered like 150 euro worth of merch for it lol waiting for them to come 🤩because I'm still not over it, I made another video if anyone wants to watch :)

That's true indeed, why do I have to move on lol I still haven't, in fact I'm in the middle of watching the drama again lol although I have to say I don't understand everyones bitterness over the end, I mean I get it at first as it is heartbreaking to see after everything TJ went through that he had to die saving the world ( a world that did not deserve him dying for them tbh lol) but it's pretty much a happy ending after the sad ending, they have a child and he's cultivating and will be reunited with them soon, it sucks that we didn't see it but I don't think it ruins it, their reunion will come soon. Although I am very salty over her still not telling him she loved him, she says she will tell him when they meet again and I was like are you for real? because that's fine for them because they will meet again but us viewers are not going to see this so could she have not just told him ugh lol.

That is true. I think if the drama didn't exist I might have liked the book but I loved the drama so much so the book just felt like a whole different story and that's not what I wanted, I read it because I wanted more of the drama story, but good thing is they are both totally seperate of each other so for those who like both can have both and those who only like one or the other can have that.

I feel the exact same! I just can't seem to watch anything else since I've watched it lol I've already watched the drama 3 times in the past month, I haven't done something like that since I was a teenager lol.

I actually fully agree with you even though I absolutely love the drama, and I just love Tantai Jin's character, he alone even makes this drama special, but I understand what you're saying, there is many points in the drama where I hate what the FL does, (I still like her though, I kind of have a like/hate relationship with her) but yea it's so hard to watch her treatment of him a lot of the time, especially because he loves her SO much, and is trying so hard to be a good person and he's already been betrayed by every single person he has ever known, and ironically despite the fact he is meant to be the devil, he is the purest and kindest character in this drama and the amount of suffering and betrayal he has gone through and then to see the FL, the only person who has ever loved him and who he has loved, ends up betraying him in the most brutal way of all, it actually hurts to watch, the wedding scene where she stabs him is honestly one of the most heartbreaking brutal scenes I have ever seen, I still can't believe she did that to him. Also the fact what she said to him hurt more than the spikes and it was just so unnecessary, don't get me wrong I'm a tragic romance lover so I actually love the wedding scene, i think it's such a good scene but at the same time it still hurt, and the fact that she went out of her way to kill him in the cruelest way possible, it had nothing to do with her mission, she didn't need to do it on their wedding day, she didn't need to tell him she never loved him etc. she could have done it a less cruel manner, and the fact she never even apologized for it after she found out that she was wrong annoys me. She also made many other mistakes towards him like the treason, not once but twice, and she just always thought the worst of him even though she was wrong every time, and her putting a sleeping drug in his food which lead to all the misunderstandings in the first place, and just the overall hurtful things she says to him, it's just hard to watch this poor man being betrayed and hurt over and over again, even after the 500 year skip, I wanted to slap her when she pretended not to know him, I'm like haven't you hurt him enough??? he spent 500 years of agony looking for you and you're lying to him yet again, it's frustrating to say the least, and she FINALLY believes in him and takes his side in the last few episodes but sadly this doesn't last long.
I mean even the premise of the drama is really cruel in general, she needs to make someone fall deeply in love with her so she can stick 9 spikes into his heart...........that already would be harsh to say the least but given the context of Tiantai Jin's character and all he has been through makes it even more cruel, but one finds out this is the plot early on so those who can't handle It I guess should drop it then.

I just wanted to rant all my frustrations too and that I do agree, but I can get past this because i understand how Chinese dramas are and I absolutely love tragic and dark love stories so I understand that all those misunderstandings and cruelty is just part of the ride. I just love the drama and the storyline and even the FL I actually still like lol I just hate her treatment of him. Obviously this drama is not for everyone, if you don't like dark and/or tragic stories then this isn't
for you.

I read the novel and honestly I didn't like it at all, if I'd never seen the drama then it might be different but I personally think the drama is way better, I found it hard to get through the book, while the main story remained similar, the characters, relationships and reasoning were completely different that it ended up feeling like a completely different story. I don't think there was even a likeable character in the book or a character I felt sorry for, and I absolutely loved TJ in the drama and felt so sorry for him through the whole thing. The book is also darker and not in a good way, I don't know I guess i just wasn't a fan of it, I'm so glad they made all the changes they did for the drama.

Isn't he cultivating or whatever it's called in the scale at the end? meaning he will be coming back to life soon? that's what it looks like so I just look at it that the ending was cut short rather than changed.
