Yes, EP02 is a tearjerker (EP04 also has some elements). EP05 on the other hand π€
I so cannot wait π I thought that since 5 EPs were out I could "safely" binge but I was wrong - the amount I re-watched EP05 (truthfully from ending of EP04) starts to be unhealthy π
True but Mr. CEO is supposed to be cold and haughty, which the actor is portraying well. O feel like Mr. Photographer should have more of a magnetic charm in order to tempt and keep CEO interested.
I get the appeal of the 2nd couple but Mr. Photographer is not doing it for me. Shouldn't he be like super charming? For me he gets douchebag vibe. IDK he is just not clicking as that desirable π€·ββοΈ
From the novel (although they do not follow it super closely because Thee was never this goofy/over the top following…
It can be purchased on for example Meb (I think they have biggest selection of BL novels translated to English).
I am not against creative liberties (I read that writer rights are really strong in TH, so definitely writers permission had to happen) and I know that some thins do not "translate" to screen well but they did change Thee's personality a lot (same with Dr Bun in Manner of Death), so I pointed it out. What I mind is when they for example "gaywashed" series. On the other hand Not me was like totally different from the novel and thank BL god's for that as that "work of art" belongs in "circular file cabinet" (ποΈ). I am serious - it is disgusting and has no political/social commentary + brain cells decrease after that is guaranteed.
i just realized with WilliamEst side story that... we never got any updates with Tawan and Aran... yet they are…
From the novel (although they do not follow it super closely because Thee was never this goofy/over the top following the soap operas "advice", nor buying and gifting stuff as crazy expensive and random; there was no "not allowe to love" storyline - their parents were totally ok with their choices and Mhok even confessed to the whole family his love for Rome when they were still in highschool*): the concept of the photoshoot was that Aran was Autumn, then he and Tawan continued "storyline" in Winter (Photoshoot done by in-house photographer), then I think Tawan was supposed to do single Spring and together Summer; Tawan got crazy jealous during photoshoot and attacked Peach; this wasn't so surprising because Tawan came from rich family and they kind of launched him + cleaned his mess; this time however Peach lost conciseness, was sent to the hospital and Thee got angry, so he: broke Tawan's hand (not sure if personally), cancelled the contract (this meant new photoshoot for that collection, so Peach did it); blacklisted him + his family, sued them ("to pay Peach's medical expenses"). So he basically destroyed him (but since it's PerthSanta and GMM I doubt we are going to get that resolution).
More about the fallout: This was used as plot device, to make Peach trust Thee, to believe that he finally is not alone and has somebody on his side/to lean on no matter what. This lead to Peach taking Thee to the orphanage (it was the 1st mention of it for the readers), where she introduced Thee to the siblings (the boy's character was very similar to novel's Thee), Peach told him that his wish is to adopt children (especially those that had lower chances of being adopted, like him and his sister had), so Thee got all worried because "what if their children won't like him?" π€£
*let me tell you (this is all from Rome and Mhok's separate novel) that they really only kissed once when they were in HS, then Mhok (who got great grades; his goal was to skip classes to be in the same year as Thee, so that they could study together) said that he wants to follow Thee to see the world and learn to be worthy of [being with] Rome. So he left for USA with Thee, they would sometimes meet with Rome during holidays/school breaks (not sure if Rome kept the promise that he would call him every day) but they had like 2-3 year period before start of Thee's love life where they haven't met in person at all. So when Rome finally came (about 7 years after the kiss), Mhok was happy but also self-conscious about his body (he was no longer the skinny, kind of petite, Asian boy - he got a bit more buff) - Rome was totally down bad regardless of Mhok's look (Rome basically dragged him from the airport to the apartment and only took his carry-on with... that was mostly carrying boxes(!) of condoms, lube and finger gloves) and that night "Mhok took his virginity", as Rome later phrased (to be clear Rome seemed to have GFs before meeting Mhok but not sure how far that went as he claimed that Mhok took his 1st kiss as well but apparently since meeting Mhok there hasn't been anybody he would be interested). For me Rome's character in the novel is closer to the Thee in the series (also not as outrageous) than Thee from the novel.
I hope this isn't gonna be censored. Plz be it like ABO Desire or Revenged Love!!
I read that screenwriter is Chai Jidan (she wrote Addicted/Stay with Me and Counterattack/Revenged Love - both novels and screenplays), so she most likely is going to do it more spicy (perhaps again with co-production with another country to bypass the censorship π€). Fingers crossed!
I read the manga (it's still in progress) and there is no final love (nor recurring love interest, like Kikuchi).…
How did it spoil it? You wrote it yourself that it's not page by page and I wrote that in manga there was no recurring love interest + manga is not finished yet. Yes, they use some plots (=VS) from manga but overall storyline is different, so even if you read the manga you would not have known series's the direction, not to mention ending. My comment in most part was about stuff that only happened in manga - have you seen the mind-reading guy in the series (not to mention he was not even a potential love interest for Mob)? Or was it me mentioning that the girls were supposed to be more blurry too much of a spoiler? "No matter how it turns out" = you didn't know, after reading my comment, how it ends, correct? Are people even forbidden from speculating?
Why? They never did end up in manga (not to mention Kikuchi appearing only a few times at the beginning). The point is for him not to get any BF, IMO, and I prefer it that way TBH. If you haven't already, try manga. If he necessarily had to end up with somebody, I would have preferred the mind-reading guy - it's so hilarious him reading Mob's monologue and still not getting that this is a BL world π€£
it's metaphoric show so the one who seek the average story wont be satisfied i rooted for him to win since S1.…
I read the manga (it's still in progress) and there is no final love (nor recurring love interest, like Kikuchi). In later chapters they introduce guy who can read minds, which is annoying to him. However once he gets relatively close to Mob his inner monologue is drowning all others thoughts and the guy can only hear him. Even though Mob does the explanation monologue the guy is totally not getting it and just gets annoyed, wants to find Mob (he was kind of trying to hunt him down, even stopped working) and then π₯ him. It's super hilarious to see the guy assuming that Mob must be chatterbox IRL, so Mob is not even on his radar π€£ I am currently "marathoning" this season and I so hope he appears π€ I, as well, hope that Mob wins and stays single (in manga he once almost had a chance at GF but due to being so paranoid of ending in BL he used his flag destroying tactics agains her anonymous gift, hence making her feel like he was not interested) and that they commit more to making the girls blurry (I could see some of their faces and as manga taught me - the only woman/girl not blurry is the "fierce older sister" π€).
Venting is ok! Your frustration clearly indicates that you love FarmVan a lot! ;DSince it's gmmtv, they're going…
Yes, they are going to definitely have a HE but this reminds me of Perfect 10 Liners and the mother's arc from 2nd and 3rd couple. Bad behaviour (to put it very mildly - she traumatized at least 2 of her children) that was forgiven basically with no consequences. She hurt Faifa so badly but "faaaaamiiiiilyyyy" = you have to make up (a few days of a cold shoulder - after she stood him up and then blamed it on his father π€― - weren't even warranting a bit of self reflection on her part: no, it was his fault for ignoring her π€¦ββοΈ). So I am not having a big hope of them actually resolving this in mature, healthy manner (addressing the issue and doing the hard work of Van getting to the bottom of his issues that make him self sabotage all of his romantic relationships).
I think we need special EP for his life. I think they switched places during accident and Apo woke up with lottery…
The only think that makes me wonder is the fact that Apo actually knows what happened in his world. Why Thorn doesn't? Because that would actually suggest that Apo is either no longer alive or has a magic powers of his own (perhaps they could only be "activated" once he traveled between words/had an accident?) π€
ok - Tailah - i will need your help there, guys : I absolutelly get redeeming qualities of Tailah in the reality…
Tailah - the heart wants what it wants, I think. He is attractive, charismatic and in close proximity, so I get why Thorn would crush on him. Thorn is a bit of doormat, so it was easy for Tailah to take advantage of that (and once you are used to "luxury", you see it as default). It's not clear if Apo switched places with Thorn (he is somewhere else, that's all we know) but I would say it's highly probable. Considering that Thorn passed by Ya before the switch, I would think that Apo met that world's Ya and they are actually compatible there (plus Thorn got the lottery ticket, so Apo would not start his life from the bottom - perhaps he used the money for apartment in the same building as the other Ya and got meet-cute or used his fashion sense and degree and become famous this way?).
So what really happened to Apo? Is he in the other world living as thorn or did he pass away ?
I think we need special EP for his life. I think they switched places during accident and Apo woke up with lottery ticket. Thorn also passed by Ya (I think) before meeting the dog, so perhaps Apo and the original world's Ya were more compatible and they got together.
And here I thought I was the only one thinking that. I at some point dropped it and resumed yesterday just finish…
But grandpa was black magic shaman and he was white, so there is that. Additionally grandpa's karma had to be payed by the loved one (his daughter) - was part of it "bedroom karma"? π€·ββοΈ
And here I thought I was the only one thinking that. I at some point dropped it and resumed yesterday just finish…
But I don't think she was killing the bloodline (past the original culprits - I think we saw the husband and 1st wife burning and the guy had only 1 living child, the daughter, which I am quite sure she "offed" as well), right? They were reincarnated to random families, I think. Another thing - the use of that divine weapon. Why hasn't it whipped all of the ghosts (or at least damaged her)? Why did he even have to use it on them? He got rid of much bigger amounts of ghost in the past (I know he used some of his power on fighting her but still). Looking at it logically he should have directed the weapon at her - once she was gone all the ghost would have been free of her influence. Additionally - wasn't his mortal body supposed not to be able to handle the power? Why loosing the power temporarily was basically the only consequence? Not to mention that it automatically "de-shamanized" him... so once the power is back so is ban on certain bedroom activities? So many questions so little answers π
It was an ok show. Don't understand the hype. Sometimes it was a bit slown burn and draggy. The acting was...well..ok.…
And here I thought I was the only one thinking that. I at some point dropped it and resumed yesterday just finish it and hence check the box. Khem was so going on my nerves in the last EPs with his decisions. For me both pairs kind of got together trough trauma bonding and I would like to see more of the relationship development (I get that it's partly due to feelings from their last life but they were crazy in love in less than a month). One thing in the plot is not clear to me - our villain ghost did all that as retribution and she got everyone on her list (also when they reincarnated, I think), so why was she claiming that once she gets rid of Khem the grudge would be gone? She already got him once and that apparently was not enough, so he would be ok in next reincarnation or is she going to stop his reincarnations? On the plus side: the production value was really good.
