I liked how real Dy was with Fire in the dining room. He told him his story, so that he knows possible outcomes. His story wasn't even that soul crushing as many lived trough but it's nice that the series touches the issue and not just: "everyone is fine with everything".

If I was Samsi I would have questioned the friendship as well. It's fine if your friends have partners and want to spend time with them. What is wrong is to make plans and then either be totally absent-minded or ghosting (Prem was the worst with confirming and 5 seconds later totally forgetting) - plans change but is it such a high bar to let others know?

I think from all characters I like Samsi and Metha the most. They are often used as a butt of a joke but they are true friends (Metha was helping Fire to "find himself", covering for Fire in front of his mom, helped Samsi to find his wallet, was encouraging Tan and so much more "minor stuff"). They should get together (romantically or not - I don't care) and ditch the others!

Last episode was....um not expected this. Day continued to be insensitive towards Mhok till the last episode.…
I agree mostly but with Mhok - after getting out of jail he got some bad luck but still was calm and collected. He knew how to swallow his pride and I guess it was like that with Day - Day was really mean or insensitive to him for a lot of the series. I won't even mention mother's behaviour πŸ˜’. Only Night was treating him with respect. That is all to say that he was quite used to that kind of treatment.
On the positive note: at least he was supportive of Mhok's career (even though he was constantly dissing his "creations"...): was teaching him trade secrets and used mom to encourage him (at the end of EP12).
One of the commentators mentioned that better ending would have been if it was Day who went after Mhok and asked for 2nd chance. I would have preferred that as well but at least Mhok started to shave πŸ˜‰
On Last Twilight Jan 26, 2024
I can't with Mhok's clothes for the weddings - on Aon's wedding he looked a tad underdressed but for the last one... that jacket? Wasn't he picking up the suit as well (not green one πŸ˜‰)?

Last EP rushed over so many things - like Mhok's life there or the whole confession he made about Rung in EP11. We got a lot about Day's development but not much about others.
I was also not thrilled about Mhok still doing the constant chase (except one situation). Even when they are together it looks like Day keeps his guard up about his feelings and either is a bit rude/mean or "and you?" or refuses to answer. Mhok is constantly reaffirming Day about his feelings and gets crumbs back. Maybe it works for some couples...
Also the whole issue they had. Was it really pity? If I returned to the room and the person was missing for no apparent reason but phone was left, I would be worried, add to that that he did not know about "surprise", so how could Day disappear? Did Mhok really needed to take that specific job? He was apparently quite good already and theoretically could find local job (as he did after return - he wasn't the owner of that restaurant).

That being said I enjoyed the series a lot. Both Sea and Jimmy did phenomenal job. I am hoping for more ambitious series from GMM. Perhaps they could dabble in different genre? SF? Criminal (they could adapt CH BL novels that cannot be done in CH... perhaps continuation of Justice in the Dark)?

Now GMM allows pre-order of the series but pre-order of the slippers is long closed (with no info if they are going to be even available later). Have some mercy on the shipping costs for the international fans πŸ₯²

I completely agree. I was honestly really disappointed with the ending, mainly because the rest of the series…
It doesn't work like that. Check in is 1st step. Then they mark you as present during boarding. Then flight attendants check if the boarding number is correct. If it is then no passenger is missing. What Mhok could have done is cancel his check in and he might have cancelled or rebooked his flight - then there would be no missing passenger. Mhok was having only carry-on, so no issue to cancel his check in (he would loose money though - remember to rebook/cancel your flight more than 3h before departure to avoide no-show fee πŸ˜‰).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at least from my brief research on corneal transplants they're far less restrictive…
I think he got 2nd after 3 years. His 1st was while she was still pregnant and they split up after the birth. His 2nd was after Mhok returned (and he was there for just a few days), so at most I would say 3,5 years between them.
Perhaps the issue is with amount of donors? In some countries you have to "opt out" of being a donor and in some you have to "sign in". I don't know how much need is for this type of transplant in Thailand - perhaps they are more prone to cornea's issues and there is not much to "go around" (like for example in Noth Korea they have a lot of catharsis cases due to malnutrition)? If you recall Day was visually impaired for over a year before he got the 1st. Then again they might not do the transplant is there is still some vision... If that was true then his 1st was quite fast.

Yes! Just let her use her voice as in this series. Her voice in Only Friends was grating my nerves.
She sounds totally different to me in both series. I was even wondering if it's actually her because of it.

Title Only Friends
I think Top is more terrible as a person than Boston. Although both are toxic in their own way and cares very…
While I agree with some parts I disagree with Top being worst.

You wrote that he was clear with his partner's about what he was willing to give them. That is true to a point with most of them. Not true with Nick. Even at the beginning he was "leveling up" his status. He allowed them to have pictures together even thought it was supposed to be hard no for him due to his dad. When they "got back together" he was doing "boyfriend experience"... up to the point of Boeing.
On this point Top was not clear what he wanted from Mew from the start. The question is if he actually knew what he wanted? Seeing as he usually dates them for like 3 months and not just "nail and bail" he wasn't exactly lying or giving too much of a false hope.

Top x Boston.
Here Top is trash for seeing a picture from years back and thinking that it somehow gives him "hall pass" for cheating πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
Boston on the other hand not only was after a taken guy but after his friend's BF. This actually the worst part for me - Mew was his friend and he still did it with premeditation. Let's add to that that he was usually doing one night stands but here he wanted to do it again just because Mew was interested? And then he was still after Top even when he told him to leave him alone.

So at this point in my reply both were cheaters (Boston with Boeing). Let's go to another aspect - Mew x Ray.
Top caught Ray and Sand but did not expose them to Mew. This is good and bad in my opinion. Yes, Mew had a right to know but this would seem like revenge. I also think that Top did it in a bit more mature way - told Ray that they are no different and told Mew to make sure that Ray loves him. It was by no means perfect but considering how it was between them it might have been the only path.
Boston on the other hand took secret pictures of Mew and Ray kissing. Never told them, used them to put wedge between Mew and Top + to hurt Ray and Sand. At that point there was no animosity between Boston and Ray or Sand but he still steered the conversation to make the most damage. Again I agree that Sand should know about Ray's feelings towards Mew but it could have been done differently (like talking to Ray that he should be honest or telling Sand privately and more delicately).

With Cheum.
Top was mostly groveling to her and rescued her once.
Boston on the other hand slept with her brother. This is not so bad as they are both adults but I think that Boston might have taken advantage of vulnerable moment. I am not judging him harshly on this one - they were consenting adults.
This however is just another example of him not caring for his friends. One can say that Ray is ambivalent towards his friends (except Mew) but he is not outright lashing out at them and doing bad things to them for no reason (again - except Mew).

To sum it up: for me they are both trash and I wouldn't want my worst enemy to fall in love in someone like them (at least Top tried to be better and not repeat his mistakes + was repenting... Is that going to stick? I think Ray better fortify the car πŸ˜‰).

In this whole show the only person who was not at some point sh*tty to another was April, I think (they never showed Cheum apologising to Boston).

Title Last Twilight Spoiler
To the Mhok point: yesz that was exactly what I was thinking at the time. It doesn't matter to him if Day could…
I doubt it. Mhok is visibly not happy being away and I don't think I saw him on the graduation - he would definitely be there if they were together.
At the end of the preview it looked like Day might have got his sight back (why woul he walk without cane/guide dog in mall otherwise?) but on the other hand why would he not recognise Mhok? They took pictures together.
Another week of torture waiting for the last EP...

In short: lackluster (be it "comeuppance" to guys who hired guys to beat Sprite, switcheroo reveal, Zee+Salmon,…
Yes, unfortunately. There are some cute scenes and they do have good chemistry. That is sadly not enough to balance bad script πŸ˜”

I would do the same if I’m Mhok or Day.If I'm Day, yes I'm definitely don't like people to pity me for my handicap.…
To the Mhok point: yesz that was exactly what I was thinking at the time. It doesn't matter to him if Day could see or not. He would have made the same choice. The choice was to be with the person you love or not. He knows that if something were to happen and he was too far away he would be helpless, worried, anxious etc.
Let's not forget that long distance relationships are hard in itself - many couples break because of the distance. One wants to be with the person they love. It's as simple as that.

What I want to see in last EP: Day chasing/coaxing Mhok! Because so far it was always the other way around. Let Day woo Mhok for once!

Someone give me the rundown of the last episode for my sanity, please.
In short: lackluster (be it "comeuppance" to guys who hired guys to beat Sprite, switcheroo reveal, Zee+Salmon, Mike+Jack; Sam and Tan were just bland - and the whole looking at the would was totally weird... the dude had gauze so unless he has x-ray vision he won't be seeing much).
They tried to tie as much plot points as possible (so it was not done great) but still there were pointless scenes.
If you saw last EP, then you might have already noticed how they changed Zee's personality to be more like Sprite. Here it was even more visible for me. He is no longer cold, broody and aloof to everybody. He allowed people to hug, pat etc. him. Was smiling. Was eating not just according to "diet for athletes".
Switcheroo reveal could have happened at any point and would have not made difference (except maybe First would not get crazy). First basically instantly believed and not long after forgiven.
Zee fans (excluding First's sister) = comic book villains.
Parents - why did they split up? Are they splitten up? It's weird.
It was like they had no idea what do do with this show after some point... and it had such great potential.

So 48 episodes in, I feel like the emperor i quite easy to manipulate.
I'm on EP25 and and I think there are several reasons. For once he is old, stubborn and paranoid. In the past his ascension to the throne was with support of quite smart people (that are now mostly dead and the remaining one tried to blow up the altar, so that means he doesn't have anybody from that time by his side) - he might not have been so bright himself just lucky to get good advisors.

I think the common mistake is believe in meritocracy. Just because somebody is on hight position doesn't mean he is not a dummy. In case of fight for the throne there is usually limited pool of people that can get it - usually rulers son's are the only ones in play. Let's add to that inbreeding (I am not claiming it happened here but Habsburgs in Europe are good example). All that makes recepie for dummy on the throne that is responsible for actions but in truth is just a puppet. This is not only visible in royal families: if there are wealthy families one often hears stories about so called failson's/faildaughters - people who' s only value seems to be bank account of their parents and said parents connections.

There is Brasilian TV Show called 3% about dystopia where once you are of certain age you can take part in assesment (but only once) to live in much better place (paradise like). Only 3% gets to the "paradise" every year. Here is spoiler: if you qualify you have to agree to get sterile (it's voluntary), as creators of the palce understood that one has to truly earn his place in the "paradise" and next generation would get it without earning it - a true meritocracy, something that does not happen in the regular society.

That was my first thought as well, but I feel like it's meant to be symbolic in a way... Day's book was incomplete,…
Why must her be incomplete though?
David was just a guest to her (she clearly liked him but I don't think it was more than friendship).
Replying to Lexes99 Jan 6, 2024
I believe it was done for symbolic reasons. As in Day finally found the ending to his journey and story, rather…
While I agree with the sentiment but as one commenter mentioned: they could have taken picture of that page. There was no need to damage the book.
As to your point about enging being not given to them - it literally was, as Cherry gave it to them.

Nobody in my immediate family would have dared to do it (then again there is this one that barely reads πŸ˜…). Books are like works of art IMO (even the protesters when targeting paintings choose the ones behind protective glass, so that they don't actually damage the thing).
