The order of actor/actress is only based on their billing. Bai He Huai pairs with Su Mu Yu so she is the FL in the story. I think the question is asking about the characters of the story, not the actor/actress themselves or their order in the cast list.

I see but Bai He Huai is also listed as the main lead. The actress playing Mu Yu Mo is listed at main lead just because of her experience. Her character can’t be considered a main lead.

Blood River and TBOY are all great wuxia dramas so I recommend both or you can watch Blood River as a stand-alone drama. Blood River has a dark theme because the story is about an assassin organization but the fighting scenes are top notched. TBOY has lighter theme but relates to more politics. Depending on personal interest, a person may prefer a drama to another. I like both dramas and am currently re-watching them.
In my point of view, the cast are more beautiful than the anime and all fighting scenes in the drama are stunning and more eyes catching than in the anime. I personally prefer the drama than anime 🥰

In the last scene of ep 38, Su Mu Yu and Bai He Huai reunite with each other after 12 years. Not sure why you mention that they are not if going to MDL main leads 🤔
