Title Our Universe
The drama title is Our Universe, and I am still figuring out where the universe part is.

for me it's exactly the opposite... the big NO was the kdramas, too much useless comedy
PARKOUR PARKOUR, From comedy, happy endings, weakness, realism, censorship, countries, now LSK. Nice one...
Once Again PARKOUR, PARKOUR.

The moment someone turns taste into contempt and ideology into identity, the argument is already over.

“I hope this is enough to explain why C-dramas satisfy me the most” well it isn’t. What it explains is your personal comfort and your hostility toward a country, not an analysis of storytelling.

Preference is not criticism. Discomfort is not failure. And personal ideology is not analysis.

If this is about taste, call it taste. Don’t present it as critique and analysis.

That’s not criticism, that’s insecurity with a loud voice. And who the hell told you to like Korea? (And if I did quote the exact part) Try responding to something I actually said. You keep parkouring from comedy to happy endings to weakness to realism to censorship to entire countries anything except the point. PARKOUR, PARKOUR. If this is your idea of argument, it explains why you confuse noise with thought.
And I am still expecting where the useless comedy is rather than just saying "useless comedy" than actually telling where it is. Because the whole argument is about that....

You’re not debating, you’re parkouring between opinions. Every time one collapses, you sprint to the next: comedy, happy endings, weakness, realism, censorship, even countries. Anything except actually answering the point. You confuse rigidity with depth, discomfort with failure, and moral posturing with intelligence. Calling preferences “strength” is just how people avoid thinking. And the fact that you genuinely believe art becomes superior the moment it’s supervised, restricted, and approved from above doesn’t make you profound, it makes you obedient. If needing authority to feel enlightened helps you cope, cling to it. you’re defending your comfort while pretending it’s intellect.

Well I never expected you’re going to contradict your own claim of realism. You argue that comedy combined with heavy subject matter is “nonsense” and that seriousness must be solemn, yet real adult life includes inappropriate laughter, dark humor, absurd coping, and emotional contradiction. Rejecting those behaviors while claiming realism is not realism, it’s curated seriousness.

You also assert an absolute rule “comedy should never exist in this kind of drama” without any narrative principle or craft-based reasoning. That isn’t criticism, it’s dogma. Art does not function through genre prohibitions, especially in realism-driven drama.

Calling viewers “weak” is equally incoherent. That isn’t a critical category, it’s a preference being framed as incapacity.

In the end, someone who openly labels themselves as ANTI-HALLYU and ANTI-KOREA calling me “anti” is ironic at best. This discussion stopped being about storytelling long ago, if it ever was. If rejecting comfort in favor of analysis makes me an anti, I’m fine with that. For I will always be an ANTI, anti bad arguments and anti intellectual dishonesty. There’s nothing productive left here, so I’ll take my leave.
Love Mr. “Anti & Obsessed”, with due respect. <3

The term “disturbing comedy” adds nothing to the argument. It names a feeling, not a flaw. Its make my previous answer more logical. Discomfort is not evidence of poor execution its a proof that the work is functioning as intended. Adult life is frequently undignified, incoherent, and inappropriate, and any honest portrayal of it will be disturbing by necessity. And who the hell are this weak people you are mentioning in every other comment, that got disturbed by the comedy when the narrative includes abuse, trauma, infidelity, and existential despair...
Neither My Mister nor Loving Strangers are made with the intention of pleasing the audience, it is made for an experience and a journey you will go through with every character and that's why it hits you...

Now you want me to be logical so here it it. The original work never undercuts emotion with comedy, It knows when laughter would be dishonest. It places humor before collapse, beside pain, never after devastation and that's called restraint my friend. Now the useless comedy, What the show had is comedy born from failed masculinity
Dong Hun’s brothers are not comic relief characters, they are comic consequences. Their humor comes from big talk with no leverage, pride without stability, dreams that arrive late and unpaid. But They’re funny because they still perform confidence, even when life has already said “no”. And that comedy is my friend what we call cruel honesty, men clinging to dignity after society has stopped recognizing it. You laugh, then realize you’re laughing at survival postures. The thing you called useless comedy, is a comedy doing the most honest work possible, exposing how people learn to stay human when dignity is already gone.

Chill buddy its not that deep, I understand your hate. But just to defend the Chinese version you don't have to say the original work is bad. And if you are at least come up with proper and logical one. You are just making a clown of yourself nothing else.
Hope to see you with logical points and unbiased opinion...

it would’ve been better if the last part was real but it just gave me a heartbreak not hope, because Mr. Kim…
That's why its a masterpiece, The raw honesty that refuses to offer a sense of false hope. And you felt the heartbreak means the ending scene landed as it needs to be. It forces us, the audience to confront the structural nature of inequality.

Title Perfect Number Spoiler
Exactly. I'm so confused, cause no one would ask the police to find him, and unless the body somehow floated to…
He killed the guy because He wanted to make sure that even if one day, his lies and plans doesn't work anymore still it doesn't affect Hwa Sun. He left the other guys body in the open, with little evidence that made the police to assume that its her ex-husbands body. Now in Hwa Sun perspective if the body was found Yoon ah will also held accountable for the murder, and it will ruin her future and Hwa Sun will always blame herself and she will always be trapped. Now our guy doesn't know that the ex husband don't have anyone by his side, He did the things with the clear goal in mind that Hwa Sun will not face any consequences. From the very first day He was clear about the thing that He will turn himself in and planned it piece by piece.
Even if Hwa Sun comes clean about the murder, Police will focus on the body that they found rather than someone claiming that there is a body somewhere....
