Its a major flop in Korea. 2-3% rating so far.
It is flop in South Korea,
What you call a successful show is definitely a good storyline and good watching experience, but in the case of high budget show viewership matters.
This is what you call a successful show.
1. Queen Of Tears- started with 5.9% and reached ratings of 24.8% (10.964% on its third week).
2. Crash Landing On You- started with 6.074% and reached 21.7% (8.730% on its third week)
3. Mr. Sunshine - 18.1% (10.835% on its third week)
4. Mr. Queen - 17.4% (11.337% on its third week)
5. Crash Course In Romance - 17% (9.145% on its third week)
Normal weekend shows like "The Midnight Romance In Hagwon had decent ratings than this, its started with 5.169% nationwide, (4.231% on its third week) hold decent rating till its run and reached 6.596% on the finale episode".

Its not majorly because of lack of screenplay in finale episode, its because of the mistranslation in the last…
They didn't fully mistranslated it but because of some differences in what Korean version has, it got out of context.
So what went wrong here is,
- First thing that went wrong is people connected this scene to real life conflicts of Israel and Palestine, which makes it more sensitive.
- Second the news report in English subtitles are "The ongoing Palitima airstrikes are taking place in Izmael, Where Korean nationals were kidnaped by armed militants" Here this thing makes it looks like Palitima side is aggressive and bad, but the news flashing in bottom line (Korean language) was ["이즈마엘 무장 세력에 한국인 피랍... 협상 전 문가 급파" ] which translates [Koreans kidnapped by Izmail militants... Negotiation specialists dispatched]. In the Korean version, there was intent of showing who is good and who is bad, but due to some changes in english subtitle, the whole context changed.
- Due to this one difference people thought they were showing Palitima the bad ones, which leads people to think that the scene was foreshadowing anti-palestinianism.
