The hardships he suffered made him the person he is now. Everyone is same for Yan Zijing, He will not give any special treatments out of pity or some other reason. If she did something wrong she will be punished, if she did something good she will be praised and get rewarded...
This drama has the perfect blend of lead characters. 1. Duan Wu (Competent)- Her character is the one who is very capable just need a little push to achieve her goal. 2. Yan Zijing (Complex)- A character you always judge for his harsh actions, belive it or not but no one can be better mentor for DW than him. 3. Zhang Jin Ran (Pure)- His personality definitely gives warmth and sense of relief to DW. But he is too good for this world. There are not always good people in this world...

YZJ will gonna be her mentor first, She can't learn things if he can't show her the dark side of the world. He will never interfere until she can't fight. If he interfere everytime how can she be a strong person...

From last year to now Disney+ gave some of the good action, thriller shows, But still it don't get the attention it deserve. Disney needs to work on there marketing. Don't know about the others but for me they are the worse in terms of marketing a show that is going to release worldwide.
