Which had you responded well, I would have told you it’s my first time watching only because of one actor and will drop it after. I don’t need to dwell further on my reasons to choose to only watch for JCW.

I repeat, I will only watch JCW scenes and drop it. that’s my stance. I don’t been to be labeled for that. Watch for your reasons, and be happy.

I also like Song Joongki but I didnt watch QOT even for him. But, I know people who only watch his cameo scene giving the episode a higher ranking.

Many people watch for one person, it happens, it’s not right or wrong, the production teams know this, and use it for ratings.

Lastly, I will watch JCW scenes only and drop it. I don’t even need to explain this. But go ahead and make unfounded accusations about things you know nothing about.

I really can’t help a lot of you with comprehension. Also the assumptions you make about a person you’ve never met. We all don’t know what happens in the background, the industry itself is very complex. I talks about the production which makes the final decision not JCW. I like his skill, not the person personally. I don’t know him. I watch for different reasons. This time it’s for JCW’s skills and no one else.

Why is it difficult to comprehend that we have different views in life and reasons to do something differently?

I’m gonna watch for JCW to be honest, as I have taken a break from Kdramas off late due to many reasons. However I do check the works of my faves that made me like Kdramas.

I watched Empress Ki for the story and strategy. JCW’s character there wasn’t that significant.

I don’t the know the rest of the cast on Queen Woo, probably if the story intrigues me more than my reason to watch I might finish it. Although I’m not happy that he’s SML.

That’s debatable.

I agree, it’s childish however, you miss understood the rating I’m referring to.

You assumed I’m talking about fan/audience ratings like here on this site, while I was referring to viewership ratings, the ratings will be high before he dies but low after.

E.g QOT had good ratings but the episode of Song Joongki’s cameo gave the show the highest viewership ratings.

People who like the FL will finish the series with positive remarks. People who are watching for the story itself will finish the series. However, people who are watching for JCW and don’t care about the story will drop it after hours s character dies.

There are many types of audience and fans. Not limited to one person.

It’s a fact that he is second main lead not first.

Please do your own research. There’s nothing wrong with A-list actors doing second leads, it’s just not a good idea for the production ratings/rewards. Also not good to be SML at their prime.

Most people watch because of their faves, and they don’t like seeing their faves dying early on in the drama. There’s evidence about this on the internet, SM and even here on the comments’ trial.

He is SML (second main lead), meaning that he’s appearance is not the focus.

From the storyline the focus is FL, she was probably gonna be overshadowed by JCW, had he stayed longer. We don’t know if he was offered main ML or SML, let’s not make assumptions about that.

My opinion is from observation of his fans. Mark this comment, the ratings are gonna drop after his character death. This will is the reason many screenwriters kill the main lead at the last episode if he has to die.

Nowadays they even create fantasies of leads meeting in heaven to boost ratings by making viewers happy. E.g. the red sleeves.

They should have never made JCW sml and kill him.

A big and hard miss for the production. We are coming from Empress Ki and want him to have a happy ending as king.
