I hope ML gets a better script after this. Imagine moving from Kunning Palace to mediocrity.

The whole production team messed up. It’s like no one was the voice of reason based on experience of what audience like😂

You have a lot of time on your hands to be going on my profile to look for reasons to defend something you liked more than others do, without discernment.

Anyway, since you had that much time, I’ll assume you have went through the comments to see other people’s comments (similar to mine) and my other long comment about my rating. So, your comment here is baseless, but go on….

May the production team of this project take serious lessons.

Happy ending does not guarantee the success of the project.

If you have nothing else to watch.

NB:
- don’t read comments while watching.
- don’t have expectations.
- don’t focus much on romance.
- be prepared to skip a chunk of scenes.
- if ML is your reason to watch, you will be frustrated.
- be prepared to be confused by the FL.

Lastly, it’s a drama to watch while watching something else.

I’ve never commented this much about a show like I did for this one, I usually watch in silence.

But here I had high hopes I guess.

I think i’ll come back to this drama when I have nothing else to watch. I skipped from episode 15 to 20; then 28 to 32 then to 40. With a lot of scene skipping. Ooh I browsed 34 and 35 based on what was commented.

Besides the production company making a mess of this possible great story, SRQ’s wet look (I lack a better word to describe his appearance) annoyed me. The focus on him made it worse.
Li Rong dwelling on the past and making the ML a simp, also played a role.

I think reading comments also contributed to the too much skipping I did.

When the hype and noise subsides, I might come back to watch it quietly.

However, I do feel that the writers and directors tried something new but ended up messing it up.

I hope the ML chooses a better script after this.

I rate it 3/5 for now. A missed opportunity.

Lesson: don’t dwell on the past and forgive yourself, others and past mistakes, but learn from the past.

Is it worth to watch?

So true, I find these comments about his weight insensitive and bullying. I have a friend whose weight is as his, and he went through pain trying to gain weight, including drinking a class of raw eggs. He developed cholesterol problems and had oily skin because of trying to gain weight.

I wish people would stop commenting on other’s weight because they don’t know what they are going through.

Is he taking a break?

I hope these actors get time to rest. The ML has many shows released this year alone. Can’t be good for his health.

It will be , FL never disappoints.

I’ve successfully not watched episode 23 and 24 so far, hope to soldier on until the last episode, so I can skip SRQ scenes in peace 😂 when I binge.

So many comments about hating the SML, the producers did a number on the audience. They probably wanted to try something new and forgot about the fantasy part since this is not real history.

Usually viewers would sympathise with seconds leads on their own, but here the producers wanted to force the sympathy and it’s not working.

Maybe they are confused by their own script.
