Bruhh...these Douban reviews are sick...they're all about actors' appearances. Ngl, I want to kill some of these…
Now that's one thing I just simply can't understand. I mean, if you're going to review something negatively at least give fair reasons even if it's just a "it's boring" or whatever
Plus they aren't ugly. I mean, I find ZDY and XK pretty good looking. Saying that ZDY was miscast just because "she doesn't look like a goddess" is kinda...eh? I mean, can't a goddess not be like the other ones, she HAS to always follow a certain pattern?
hey guys, im on ep 7 and like im a bit confused, but has Shanggu already been through her 60.000 year trial and…
No, she didn't. These first episodes are basically an introduction so she didn't go through the 60.000 years trial yet (actually she's "just" 10.000 years old btw)

This is the kind of thing that makes me go "???" , really.
I mean, I get that not everybody will like something however I fail to see what's so bad? I mean, even if you dislike or aren't invested enough, it's not something so horrible to warrant this much hate.
It took me some episodes to decide either this was a "good watch to pass time" or "I am truly invested in it"...and hoo boy am I invested in it!! Really, this might be on my top three xianxias ever...
I genuinely like the story and how it progressed. These first 14 episodes built a beautiful lore with interesting characters, dynamics and worldbuilding.
Shanggu might be my favorite xianxia heroine so far. She starts as a spoiled, lazy and mischievious goddess, who had the status but not the strenght to actually reign over the three realms. But then we get to know how she's actually pretty resorseful and then she starts to discipline herself and actually become better and better. Now she's a powerful and more mature being, but still maintains her cheery disposition.
Just finished reading the novel and I have no words to describe how much I loved it. Really. I'm excited to see it coming to life through a drama. However, I guess I have all the same questions a lot of the readers do: How will they adapt it?
Really, it's something that has been on my mind for a while. Even if we forget the BL completely, there's just too much that probably wouldn't pass through censorship.... So yeah, I'm extra curious to know how this will play out.
To be completely honest, I find those kind of character far more interesting than the typical badass ones. Not to discredit the latter in any way, actually if well done they also top my list of interesting, but there's just something about those kind souls that don't waver and have their own strenght.
Strenght is not physical one. Also has nothing to do of how "badass" someone looks or acts. Strenght is far more complicated than that. We're taught from little that such things as "silent strenght" are useless and only means you're weak. That you have to be rough in this equally rough word. But in that, that's just an illusion.
I've watched A love to kill and Biscuit teacher and star candy, and couldn't get into Delightful girl, Choon Hyang.…
Yeah, I watched these too. Actually, I wondered if I should put them on the list, but I wanted something more underrated, but I think about making a new article and talk about the classics
I gave it a 6 rating.Miscasting I just could not get past (KSH looks too young to play a 20 something career woman).…
Rather than a miscast, I think it was a problem with the age the character has. In Korea, people are older so KSH who's 18 here is around 20 there. It would be preferable if they wrote her as a 20 year old rather than a mid twenties woman (as her years of experience suggest)
I was someone who barely cried, if I did actually, over any kind of movie or series. Then I started dramas... I don't really cry a lot but dang...it suddenly became so much easier to feel.
The rating is useless because of ppl like you :( You see the problems with the series, but don't rate it properly,…
Actually, I think I understand their reasoning pretty well: it's not about it's flaws, it's about how you overall feel about the drama. Sometimes we simply like something because we like it, even if it has it's shortcomings and flaws and we do admit and point them out.
And that's not all about? Emotions? I think entertainment is made for us to feel and think.
That's why highly rated dramas aren't liked by everybody, and even the poorest ranked can be loved by some. Sometimes doesn't matter if a drama fits all the technicalities as in storytelling, coherence, acting etc. Some just won't like it.
In the end, people are entitled to their opinions, and yes sometimes it can influence in someone watching, however only those who do watch know how they will feel.
