I just don't understand and cannot accept departures after all danger and hardships are over. So they fight evil together, win, and then say goodbye?! How does that make sense. At least here they had a chance encounter as comrades at the end.
Dropped on ep 8, lunch scene. I hate scheming sadists like this girl. Alas, I am dropping more and more Chinese shows despite liking the actors because of despicable female characters.
This drama show's the double standards of viewer because their 80% of viewer are women they don't like a women…
No wonder relationships have become so shallow these days. Most girls are living in a hallucination thinking they can just go around testing this and that but the other side must always understand, forgive, beg and say sorry even if they have done nothing wrong. I'm not saying this type of behaviour is acceptable for men; it's wrong regardless of gender. But tv shows are advertising wrong behaviour more and more. I just finished watching Love in Time. The female character was disgustingly selfish and self righteous and the guy had to beg and beg for her to return to him. And there are more and more of this type of stories are being made into tv shows. Instead of advertising responsibility, kindness, and moral values, tv shows are advertising selfishness and irresponsibility.
Is she stupid or what?! You go and tell the guy you love if he wants to date you because you are BEAUTIFUL and all men want beautiful girlfriends?! Don't you have any other aspect to your personalty that a man might like?! You introduce yourself as BEAUTIFUL?! How stupid is that?! And then I like you because you are handsome and wealthy?!!!!!!! Can you be more superficial, girl?! And that kiss was actually sexual harassment. He was a gentleman for not slapping you right away, as they show girls slap boys in dramas all the time. If I was him and I was attracted to you before this ludicrous friendship request, I would have changed my mind right away.
What I see in the comments are kind of inaccurate. First she didn't " not escape"; she was kept in the mansion by force. She was promised a 3 year slavery period in return for her family to be kept alive byt he had lied to her to keep heralive and also was trying to find them all thise 3 years. Second, they loved each other before the rebellion problem; it was she who left him and got engaged to Yin Qi to help her father without guving Jin any explanation. So he was angry and wanted to hurt her like he had hurt him but it doesn't mean he didn't love her. He was angry because he loved her. Third, he didnt completely belive in her disloyalty; it was she herself who verbally admitted to it and he heard her and got even angrier. Such toxic sadomasochisric relationships actually exist and they are very common too. They are not all as tragic as this one but you can find them around you if you oay enough attention. And many examples can be found in literature, too
The first half of the show was fun and interesting. The second half not so much. It lacked the emotional effect of the first half and got too much magic and wizardry elements. The ending was ok but not as strong as one would wish. But as a complete work I enjoyed it and am happy with watching it. There was a clear age gap between the main couple but it didn't make them look bad or aloof; they were cute and fun. I just wished for them to have a more clear ending.
Once again I ended up HATING the female protagonist for so many reasons. But I hate her brother even more. Just tolerated the whole thing because of the actors, mainly the male lead.

This is a waste of the two male leads' talent.
Dropped on ep 3.
