On The Oath of Love Apr 9, 2022
Out of all the cdrama that i watched, the main couple is the most natural couple i have ever seen?! The amount of hugs and kisses. No awkwardness at all. It's like watching a real life couple. I think that what draws me into the drama. The portrayal as a couple. they seem so natural and realistic. And the male lead is so sweet, tender and loving.

Plotwise, it was okay. Nothing special. It got that few typical cdrama trope (iykyk) but it was okay. Not too draggy, not too heavy, pretty laid back, even though they had a fight it didn't take them long time to reconcile. The pace was okay. Her friends are a bit annoying tho so i just skip their part lol (maybe that just me)

ohhh and i didn't expect the last 2 episodes to be such tear jerking and beautiful 😭 won't lie, it did make me cry.

As for the cast, i watched few of yang zi projects before. Xiao zhan, ive heard about him but this is my first time watching his project. His acting is good. Their chemistry is πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―. You know what, somehow he reminds me of kim minjae especially his eyes. And his deep voice too ohh I love his voice! I love his face expressions too! And his eye gaze goshh *swoon* 🫠🫠🫠

Overall its an enjoyable drama after my escape from 2521 LOL. Glad that i chose this drama. Hopefully Xiao zhan will have another romance drama coming soon because i need it so bad!!

Stop calling us who are still struggling to accept the ending 'sensitive', 'emotional' and stop using the word 'realistic' to rationalize the ending. If you love the ending, good for you. No need to criticized others.

We are frustrated with the ending not just because 'oh the leads didn't end up together. We need a happy ending'. NO. it's more than that. It's the lack of closure, the contrast tone shift, drastic characters regression, disconnect theme from the earlier episodes, plot holes. Go to tumblr or reddit and read, then you can understand. I don't say you have to agree. I said UNDERSTAND.

That exchange of words when they broke up and then later on the kind words they exchange again about how each…
Arghhhhhh that last tunnel scene!! their facial expressions as they read their honest feeling 😭. a real punch in the gut. I still avoid anything that has to do with 2521 especially any scene from the final episode. The wound is too deep that i cannot even bring myself to watch the earlier episodes. The pain is real

If there's anyone who have not watch this drama, want to watch but have doubt. I say, go for it. This drama is truly a masterpiece. You are really missing out. The cinematography?? Phew best of the best. OST? Two thumbs up. The cast??? 100/10. Kim Taeri and Nam Joohyuk own their characters. The show wouldn't be this good if not because of them, who literally brought theit characters to live. Na Heedo is the best, kind-hearted, strong-willed, funny female lead. Everything she does is adorable af you can never hate her. Baek Yijin is a warm, protective, empathic loving boy who were forced to grow up fast. And he's funny too! (Thanks to nam Joohyuk πŸ˜‚). The chemistry, plot line..the comedy?THE COMEDY? Istg thisbsho make you laugh every 10 minutes. everything is perfect.... Well, EXCEPT for the ending obviously lol

So if you are someone who dislike sad ending, you can stop until ep 13, and watch the 1st half of ep 15 and just stop. Pretend that the rest doesn't exist. Avoid ep 14&16 at all cost πŸ˜‚. Or you can watch ep 14 but skip the future scenes. Because the tone of the drama drastically change from rom-com to idk..melo & depressing,

But if you are someone who loves pain, can handle heartbreak, then just watch until the end and suffer lol

For me personally, i hate the ending. It kind of left me traumatized. It didn't give me any closure. (Especially BYJ. Man, he deserves better after suffering so much. And seriously both characters in the last ep seem like a different characters in the first 13 ep). Not to sound dramatic, but a part of me died after it ended. I cannot explain the detaisl here but let's just say, the ending contradicting the past episodes. If you want to read more about it, go to Tumblr & Reddit for better views.

This post explained really well on why the ending didn't make sense to some of us. We don't hate that baekdo didn't end up together, we hate that plot was badly written, compare to other episodes.

But then again everyone has different interpretations. Because some people are happy with the ending. So just because i hate the ending, you would too.

So don't hesitate. Did i regret watching this drama despite still having mental breakdowns right now? NO. Despite the excruciating pain, the drama still gave me comfort, good laughs, life lessons. .

Your comments bring me comfort. I'm just so emotionally invested. I've been crying all day and it does feel like…
Same same! I've watched dramas with sad ending before, and i do feel sad but they make it easier to accept through the stories. For example, uncontrollably fond (I know its a different &kind of story because he had cancer) but no matter how many times i watch the ending, i still cry. But, the pain that im feeling for this drama is beyond everything that I have felt before...

It’s funny because no one dies on this show yet it was still heartbreaking lol. I cried a lot.
No one dies but their beautiful relationship 😭

Exactly. Some people said baekdo had closure, but for me....their closure wasn't enough. But i cant keep asking and searching for answers because it already ended and there's nothing we can do about it. But for now, I also cannot accept it wholeheartedly. I need time to heal. The attacness that I have for baek yijin and na heedo is too strong to just 'accept'. Whenever i think about certain scene in ep 16, i will break down. Even cry myself to sleep last night. Don't know how long will it get for me to fully move on

Yes…..I don’t think I will go back and rewatch this drama for awhile. This drama truly was one of the best…
Up until last week, i still enjoy rewatching from ep 1 to ep 13. But now, knowing the ending i don't know if i could bring myself to rewatch it again any time soon. It just pains me to see their happy moments knowing how they end 😒 but im not denying the beautiful story that they had. This drama is truly one of a kind

Don't blame us for still having hard time accepting the ending. For still being in denial. We received so much love from them, we fell in love with them, we rooted for them, we witness how they grow from strangers to being friends and support each other even from far away, to be each other's strength only through 1 phonecall/voice message, to being lovers. Like baek yijin said "you have to be truly in love for a break up to hurt" and this is what happening to us. We love them very dearly that we are having hard time processing this whole thing, to 'break up' with our favorite drama, to 'break up' with our favorite character. We need time to truly process, understand, and accept

But we know that yi-jin is still a journalist? We dont needed to know abt hee do's husband if hes not yi-jin?…
From my understanding after watching & reading tons on comments, she didn't regret the break up. But she's feeling regret on HOW she broke up with him. Because, they are saying hurtful things to each other in that heat moment. That's the thing that she regretted

I hope people would understand that the reason why people are mad/disappointed with ending is not because baekdo…
This!!! I was ready for no baekdo endgame, but the way ep 15-16 unfold...

To everyone who's satisfied with the ending. I'm happy for you. I slept thinking I would feel differently, but…
Same here. I've been reading lots of comments/reviews, different insights here and there since the drama ended yesterday. A part of me do understand the ending, the reason of their break up. But a part of me also in denial. Although i understand , i cannot say that im 100% satisfied with the ending. I still feel heartbroken, numb, empty. I don't wish for a fairy tale ending, but i feel some things can be done so much more

For reals, me too. I’ve always thought it was baekdo endgame even after watching up to episode 14 but some of…
I mean im not trying to be delusional or anything. I will accept anything (except for tragic ending) . But I've read comments on Tumblr that have same idea that i have.

Baekdo has been going so strong so far except in the last 2 ep. They are usually good at communicating, but kinda fall off since the 1st kiss, but from the preview it seems like they are back where they were before all the chaos and angsts. They are ready to fight for each other, aware of the risk.

The drama has been warning us about the whole reporter close with subject thing, and we all thought it going to happen to baekdo instead it happened to yurim. So I'm sure they won't be using the same plot to baekdo. So i don't how are they going to put a plot where they will break up in just 2 ep.

And there are a lot of foreshadowing in this drama that i think are meant to confuse us to think that happy ending (baekdo endgame) is impossible. They kept emphasizing about nothing last forever. But so far nothing in the drama indicates that. Like, yes yurim changed her nationality, but they are still friends, she is still with jiwoong. Yijin's family is separated but he's trying very hard to bring his family together again.

And also the theory about them hiding their relationship is very much possible. Like how jaekyung hide her relationship with heedo, how yijin's family pretended to 'broke apart'.

I don't know if i make sense because i cant really write all my thoughts, but that's how i see things are. They purposely give us this big cliffhanger to make us suffer for a bit. They purposely trying to distract us with KIM minchae from ep 1 to confuse us.

But then again, i could br wrong. In the end, no matter what happen, im going to accept everything because so far the writer didn't disappoint. They had given such a beautiful story so far and I know they are going to continue that whether baekdo is the endgame or not

Title Twenty Five Twenty One Spoiler
Yi jin is packing and leaving...Breakup gonna happen at ep 15...??The thing is he is still a reporter in UBS in…
I actually wanted to avoid the preview so badly after what they had done last night but i know its going to be hard because its impossible to avoid it for 5 days.

Yijin seems like changing his major and stop being sports reporter.

Am i the only one who is having difficulty to concentrate on daily life after episode 14πŸ₯Ί
I almost cry while driving today because the word 'congratulations on your wedding' suddenly popped up in my head for the 100th time and i almost broke down

Well, if we think about it, Yijin and Heedo also didn't meet when they were 22 and 18...
No they did met when she was 18, he was 22. On the 1st ep, after the club scene, heedo ask yijin how old is he and he said 22
Replying to theematchabun Mar 28, 2022
But they never hated him though. Only HD was upset & YJ distance himself from everyone.
I know they don't hate him, but probably as upset as heedo. It's hard to see yijin suffering alone, but im glad the preview shows that they all still together
