Uk will decline it. He will give it to CP who is also a deserving person.
Yes, CP is not deserving, because of his fear of being mocked, and the petty emotions that led to horrible consequences to Uk. But maybe UKs original compassion and indifference to “what others think” will rub off. I always felt UKs toast to CP to live a long life and be a wise ruler, (I can’t remember exactlyj would be the foretelling of his fate. CP wished that Uk would be the strongest and wisest MAGE, so he would never rival the king.
Yes! That wave of energy might be the reason she was able to put the flame of the lantern out.
That’s what I thought, the energy may have started her powers. The magic barrier was different from the relic door, so I think his Hwansu power was enough to s reveal and enter the barrier.
You gotta wear black if you want people to think you're tall, dark and sexy, err, dangerous, I mean. He hits all…
They do show him in different black outfits in various fan posts, so no worries. He probably has 7 of the same outfit, labeled by each day of the week, like underwear !
Both JSM and GYJ has such a similar voice tones if I close my eyes I can’t tell whose voice it is, and their…
TBH, I thought JSM tried hard to mimic GYJs portrayal of assassin Naksu in posture and stance, because that is not the way her body naturally moves. That’s where she lost me at times, as the master, because GYJ has a certain swagger and posture I find distinctive. When she was in MD mode, she was free to do her own hilarious depiction, because I don’t think we are seeing the MD maid and accent again. Her efforts made it easier for us to transition to GYJ this season. These two actresses worked in tandem to support the story, as their very partisan fans went to war. It was distracting.
Unpopular opinion - People spent way to much energy and emotion on the idea of “bad-ass” Naksu and Bu-Yeons back story. The reason Naksu is bad-ass is her attitude. I’m loving Part 2 Naksu at the moment. Getting her sword powers back only makes her an assassin again. I was frankly surprised that they brought back her power in Episode 20, but it served to show chaos. It is not growth, but destruction and negative vengeance. I don’t think it serves the story-telling.
I always felt Bu-Yeon was a plot device in Part 1, and felt people invested way to much energy into her myth and origin. As I predicted, she did survive the discovery of the ice stone, washed ashore and had amnesia. The Ajumma who rescued and adopted her called her Mu-Deok, after her deceased granddaughter. Naksu and Bu-Yeon were two separate people whose fates did intersect in Part 1, and we will now see how their fate impacts Part 2.
Since I feel this is mostly Uk’s and Naksu’s love story, in Part 2, we have Naksu’s face, soul, and body back, to be discovered by Uk. We will now see how Bu-Yeon’s priestess powers will grow and affect the story arc. Uk already has the unlimited mage/energy power from Kings Star and ice Stone helped him achieve Hwansu. To give purpose to this set-up, I think it was important to the writers to have the divine priestess powers in play, but in Naksu’s control. It’s the only way the two incredible powers can be utilized, through Uk’s and Naksu’s unbreakable and dated bond. Why Master Lee has held back from revealing Naksu, is that he is still observing, ready to intervene if they fall to evil temptation. At some point, he knows they will be too powerful for him, so he can only intervene before combustion point. He knew about Uk’s power and tested his moral strengthin Part 1. Naksu is now back to her pure soul he saw in episode 6, and he’s waiting for her power to emerge. When her memories come back, which Naksu will prevail? The old Naksu represents vengeance and destruction. The pure Naksu represents healing and joy.
Both Uk and Bu-Yeon have been Reborn by sorcery and are considered monsters. Naksu used sorcery and is tainted by that label. BUT, as Uk posed the moral dilemma to Yul, do we destroy all “monsters” automatically to protect the people, or can those “monsters” be controlled and protected from the people (mob fear)?
Though Uk has been passive until now with his powers, I see in previews and hints of his great rage that might be unleashed. Naksu/Cho-Yeong may be the “protective” dome that will prevent destruction. Her unconditional love serves the same purpose as his in Part 1. The Ying/Yang balance keeps the world safe.
I think I understand those who are criticizing GYJ’s acting.. She definitely has some room for improvement but…
Check to see if there is a tiny Part 1 pull down menu in Alchemy of Soul, when you pull it down, you discover the Part 2 episodes. I have to keep doing that to access Part 2
I wonder what will happen to Yui! The worm inside him that still giving him pain, they need to give us answer…
I’m really mad that Sol-I could not tell someone about the blood worm, so Yeul could be treated. 3 years! And Jin Mu was supposed to subdue the worm with sorcery regularly to keep the host from dying.
Haha! I don’t believe the Hong Sisters studied science. It is make believe after all in a world not our own!
I must have been unclear. I agree with you. However, people are going crazy over the DNA and science aspects, and one must realize it’s fiction, and the authors are creating their own world, which I am enjoying.
I hate what they have done to both Dang-gu and Park Jin. But I tell myself, they are the two most professional…
Hi Kathryn_51! 1. We got a quick fight scene of Dang Gu when he was chasing the soul shifter into Jin palace. 2. Nahhh. Uncle Seo got schooled by the Queen for trying to marry Jin Bu Yeon behind her back. It sounded like that scheme to marry into the Jin family is dead. He was only wanted to father a baby to the eldest daughter . Poor Cho-Yeon is overlooked again. I hate Mama Jin! She slapped Naksu as Bu Yeon, and still totally obsesses over eldest daughter, ignoring the growingly capable younger daughter!
He saw and remember the grown up Naksu original body in part 1 multiple time he know what she look like as an…
He did not see grown up Naksu until he saw her dead. He interacted with Mu Deok through part 1, as they all did. He inferred Naksu was the girl he met when he saw dead Naksu at Songrim and found his bird whistle. The endless flashbacks were always about his teen memories.
When she was in MD mode, she was free to do her own hilarious depiction, because I don’t think we are seeing the MD maid and accent again. Her efforts made it easier for us to transition to GYJ this season.
