I think So Min did a great job as last minute replacement, but wish her fan base had been less toxic. This whole drama was set to use a young main cast, and should not have had the distracting, negative buzz from July until now.

I agree. I like the charisma of GYJ. Both she and LJW was an organic acting style that I happen to like. Their crying scenes are quiet, with sad micro-expressions. GYJ as bright, crazy, lousy priestess, reminds me of baby Ukie, from Part 1. We already know she nailed the assassin Naksu persona, because we all wanted to see that character back.

Episode 3 preview, as she strolls with Yul, and meets the CP. it’s just a little top knot, the rest of her hair is down. But I keep cackling !

Go ahead. But you’ll probably end up wanting to watch Part 1 to catch all the background and callback, and to appreciate LJWs masterful transition of the Uk character.

We must be twins! I just posted the same thoughts! Naksu had mage power, but no real purpose, and caused chaos. Right now, she has potential to complement Uk for the greater good

I noticed the return of the top knot in previews, and started obsessing over whether they would have Dang-Gu or Uk grab it randomly.

I think we should be happy that they are intrigued by the chemistry in Part 2, and I think it can probably stand alone. If it then makes the new audience go back and binge Part 1 to get the callbacks, isn’t that a good thing? One thing I will say for Hong Sisters, is that they really do throw is so many Easter Eggs, many of which go over my head because many are Korean puns based on the language and callbacks to other K-dramas I didn’t see.

Agreed. That’s why I was always surprised how passionate people were about her origin story. I think people are going to be disappointed that there might not be a come-back of the powerful assassin Naksu. I will miss it, because I loved GYJ powerful menace, but that character causes chaos, as we saw in episode 20. I think Part 2 is about healing, and growth, not vengeance. However, death to Jin Mu!

We no longer need a powerful mage, now that Uk is powered up. I think Naksu will evolve into the divine priestess powers. The story needs the Ying-yang of divine and mage energy to progress.

I think Mama Jin was appalled that after all her effort to deny Uk Naksu’s soul, they what?!? Married! She was willing to have BYs body with no powers to keep Naksu with no memory, and even told Master Lee she had the right to kill her, if she felt like it. Boy that’s one sad mother(fu***r)!

I don’t remember this claim, but you are the second to make it.. I think his family is too strong, and he was a trouble maker, so not prime baby daddy Jin husband material for first born daughter.

Jin Mu was going to get rid of her anyway, since she fulfilled her purpose, and her dad didn’t care, because he convinced himself she was Jang Kings daughter. Jin Mu took advantage of that resentment. They were both evil A$$holes.

Where did that opinion come from? His character is t described as the most morally upright, almost rigidly so, and honest person in Daeho. Even in childhood he could not lie or be devious!

That’s what I’m hoping. That the combined power of divine priestess and energy of ice stone will be used. Like the ink stain, I hope their light and shadow cancel the blot of sorcery, so they can live on in peace.
