Whoa this is just a trainwreck that you can't stop watching. I can't stand any of the characters except Eun Pyeong. Not one of them invoke any sympathy from me including Ra El. They're all pretty despicable.

Can someone explain Sora's comment about switching the fates of two women, one old and one young? Was Ra El's mother involved with Yoon Gyeom?

I’m so glad to see this article. Just yesterday I was thinking that many dramas have bromance but not enough show female friendships the same way. I will definitely watch some of these dramas.

At what point does this get interesting? I’m on ep 6 is it too early to decide to drop.

It’s great as a one time watch. The best part was the bromance and the North Korean setting.

Why does this underrated list look more like what would be my overrated list? Lots of overhyped actresses in here.

Great article. Agree with you 100%. Historical dramas present an undying love as in they will literally die for you. Modern dramas have less swoonworthy romance and tend to pair it down with too much banter, complications, etc. The only ones that come remotely close are modern fantasy dramas. Why romance is regarded as cringeworthy in modern stories while the same thing is considered epic in historical dramas, I don't get it. Either way, the more the better.

I rarely get SLS. MLL comes naturally to me so it’s not really a strategy for me. If I don’t like ML, I tend to get annoyed with the romance altogether and not because I like the SL better. Even True beauty, contrary to popular opinion, I liked Eun-Woo’s character more.

I was like you too at first but don’t do that. Seo Kang-joon is great, you’ll like him in other roles.

This sounds like my kind of drama. Wouldn’t have been on my radar if not for this article. I’m going to start watching it tonight.

Well that was not the article I was expecting based on the title but it was good nonetheless. In real life, I find men with long hair rather unappealing but in Chinese dramas they look so good! Thanks for writing this article. It was a fun read.

I’m so glad you mentioned That Winter, the Wind Blows. I watched it a couple of months ago and loved it. It’s so underrated. I will definitely check out some of your other recommendations.
